Festa Fire |

Festa momentarily moves passed Tippi to AU9 to get a better idea what lies in the corridor beyond, then returns to his starting position one move action. He whispers his observations to Tippi as he passes her. Then he picks up one of the nearby chairs to act as an improvised weapon, he lifts it above his head in an obvious display of smackdown.

Navior |

Moving ahead into the corridor, Festa sees that to the left, it goes a short distance before turning right. To the right, it goes quite a bit further before turning left. There is another door about 30 feet or so down the passage. Having taken a quick glance, he returns to the dining room and grabs a nearby chair.
ROUND 6
CURRENT EFFECTS:
None.
In the other corridor, #4 steps up over the body of his fallen comrade (5-ft step to AY 13) to attack Felos.
Lotus Dragon #4 rapier at Felos: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 -- hit
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
#4's rapier pierces Felos's side with a deep wound. Behind him, #5 steps up closer (5-ft step to AY 14). One more appears around the corner behind #5.
From further away, out of sight, Felos hears someone yell, "Hey! You two! Get some men around to the other side of the dining room! Quick!"
Next Up: Felos, Jacinth, Xanthippe, Festa, Lotus Dragons.

Felos |

Felos lays hands on himself to remove some of his injuries, then swings at the bandit.
LoH: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Flail: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
If that takes the man down, he'll move back into the room to AX10; otherwise, he just takes a five-foot step back.

Xanthippe |

From further away, out of sight, Felos hears someone yell, "Hey! You two! Get some men around to the other side of the dining room! Quick!"
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 I'm going to assume, with this roll and since Tippi is only 25 feet from Felos, that she can hear this too.
"Oh, good, there is another way out," Tippi smiles at Festa. "I'd expect some people through that corridor shortly." She steps cautiously away from the eastern door before opening it by cantrip and seeing what might be on the other side.
5-foot-step to AV9; open door at AW9

Navior |

Felos heaves his flail along the side of #4's head, practically crushing the man's skull. He collapses in a heap on top of his companion. With space now open to him, Felos retreats back into the dining room.
Jacinth follows up with a bless spell, increasing everyone's morale.
Tippi can easily overhear the yelling to the west. She moves away from the door beside her and then uses her spell to open it. It swings open to reveal a supply closet filled with buckets, brooms, washcloths, and similar items.
Next Up: Festa, Lotus Dragons, Felos, Jacinth, Xanthippe.

Navior |

Festa moves out into the south hallway in readiness for more Lotus Dragons to arrive.
ROUND 7
CURRENT EFFECTS:
Bless (entire party)
In the west hall, #5 moves forward trying to rush at Jacinth whilst keeping an eye out for Jacinth's longspear. The bodies on the ground mean he can't get much speed up, but they don't prevent him from trying to push Jacinth out of the way.
Jacinth gets an AoO as #5 moves through his threatened area. Or he gets it for the bull rush. Either way, he gets an AoO. :)
If #5 is still standing after...
Lotus Dragon #5 bull rush at Jacinth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 -- fail
There is just not much strength to #5's attempt however, and Jacinth doesn't even feel the need to adjust his stance. #3 moves up behind #5 (if Jacinth's AoO takes out #5, #3 will move right up and attack; I'll make the rolls when and if that situation occurs)). From around the corner, #1 also appears.
Next Up: AoO for Jacinth, Felos, Jacinth, Xanthippe, Festa (subject to readied action).

Festa moves past Tippi to stand in front of the door.
ROUND 8
CURRENT EFFECTS:
Bless (entire party)
Just after his arrival there, the door opens to reveal what appears to be a barracks. A man stands in the door, looking somewhat surprised to see Festa right in his face. Another person is visible just to the side of him.
From the west, you here another voice call out, "Move it, you lot! Get your acts together and move!" Several more Lotus Dragons then come rushing round the corner and down the hall towards Tippi (the lead one reaching AU 11).
Next Up: Festa's readied attack
I highly encourage everyone, when readying an attack, to include the rolls in a spoiler right away. It helps keep the combat moving. Thanks. :)

Felos |

"Do you guys need help in there?" Felos asks, calling back to Tippi.
Assuming Tippi doesn't wish to take on four Lotus Dragon all by herself, Felos slips through the doors to AU10 and swings his flail at the lead bandit.
Flail: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Navior |

It is indeed quite a surprise to #12 when Festa's foot smashes into him and a second surprise when the door slam shut just as Festa's foot withdraws.
Felos moves into the south hallway and attacks the first Lotus Dragon there. His flail hits the Lotus Dragon in the side of the stomach, sending her stumbling to the side a little.
Next Up: Jacinth, Festa, Xanthippe, Lotus Dragons, Felos.

Jacinth the Bright |

Jacinth backs up to the hall (AV9) to stay with his allies and readies an attack with his longspear.
Longspear: reach, bless
to hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 to hurt1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
AoO Longspear: reach, bless
to hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 to hurt1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Felos |

I think we've actually hit upon a really good place to make our stand. Yes, we're surrounded, but they can only come at us a few at a time, can't easily gain flanks (which is good, as some of these guys might have rogue levels), and we've protected our spellcasters. Good job, everybody.

Navior |

Xanthippe |

Meh. If it turns out to be the cure wand storage room.... :P
Unwilling to put Festa at any more risk if there is danger behind the door, Tippi advances, drawing her whip, and tries to flick it between Felos and wall to catch the nearest Lotus Dragon's ankle. Unfortunately, she manages only to slap it against the stone wall.
Move to AU9, drawing whip; trip vs. Lotus Dragon 10 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 - 4 = 1
She still has her rapier in her other hand but doesn't have a free hand to cast spells atm.

ROUND 9
CURRENT EFFECTS:
Bless (entire party)
Festa waits in readiness for the Lotus Dragons to open the doors again, while Tippi moves down the hall towards Felos and Jacinth. Her attempt to trip the first Lotus Dragon, however, only hits the wall.
To the north, #3 and #1 enter the kitchen and move up towards Jacinth. Ready and waiting, Jacinth stabs at #3 as he approaches, but the Lotus Dragon ducks to the side, beginning a roll.
Lotus Dragon #3 Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 -- fail
The Lotus Dragon is clumsy in his attempts to roll to the side, allowing Jacinth another stab at him. Unfortunately, Jacinth's attack of opportunity misses as well.
Lotus Dragon #3 rapier at Jacinth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 -- hit
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
#3 stabs at Jacinth, piercing his shin.
#1 moves up behind #3, but stops short of Jacinth's reach (at AY 9).
To the west, another Lotus Dragon (#9) arrives in the hallway (reaching AU 15), adding to the line in front of Felos.
Lotus Dragon #10 rapier at Felos: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 -- hit, critical threat
Lotus Dragon #10 critical confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 -- not confirmed
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The injured Lotus Dragon in front of Felos lashes out with her rapier, scoring a hit by his stomach.
Finally to the south, the door in front of Festa opens again, the same Lotus Dragon (#12) as before, apparently hoping to get an attack in before Festa can react. Festa is too fast for him, however. His kick shatters the man's rib cage and takes him down. Another one (#14) moves up to take his place. Festa can see at least one more Lotus Dragon still in the room.
Lotus Dragon #14 rapier at Festa: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 -- miss
#14 nearly trips over #12's body during his attack and ends up stabbing the air instead of Festa.
Next Up: Felos, Xanthippe, Jacinth, Festa, Lotus Dragons.

Felos |

Felos growls at the woman in front of him, heals himself with a quick touch, and swings his flail at her.
LoH: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Flail: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 1 = 8
Smash!! Shards of stone and dust rain down on them as he misses well high.

Xanthippe |

Recoiling her whip expertly, Tippi turns to the north and tries again, this time trying to trip the Lotus Dragon who just cut Jacinth. Seeing that the Sarenite has no room to bring his spear to bear, she quickly retreats to the corner to allow him to step back. "There's certainly a lot of them, aren't there?" she calls to Festa encouragingly.
Trip vs. Lotus Dragon #3 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 1 = 14; move to AU 7

Navior |

Felos attempts to attack the Lotus Dragon in front of him, but he hits the ceiling instead.
ROUND 10
CURRENT EFFECTS:
Bless (entire party)
Tippi tries using her whip to trip again, this time against the one by Jacinth. Alas, the confined space makes getting him too difficult. She steps back to give Jacinth more room.
Jacinth takes advantage of the space vacated by Tippi, steps back into it, and stabs again at #3. This time, he succeeds with a nasty wound to the leg.
Next Up: Festa, Lotus Dragons, Felos, Xanthippe, Jacinth.

Navior |

Botting Festa...
Festa focused blow at #14, bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 1 = 25 -- hit
Damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1) + 1 = 4
Festa swings around and brings his knee up into #14's chest, briefly knocking the wind out of the man.
The Lotus Dragons continue to press their attacks. #3 moves up to Jacinth (5-ft step to AV 9) and attacks. #10 and #14 attack from their current positions.
Lotus Dragon #3 rapier at Jacinth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 -- hit, critical threat
Lotus Dragon #3 critical confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 -- not confirmed
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Lotus Dragon #10 rapier at Felos: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 -- hit, critical threat
Lotus Dragon #10 critical confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 -- not confirmed
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Lotus Dragon #14 rapier at Festa: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 -- miss
#3 and #10 score hits on Jacinth and Felos, but Festa is able to dodge the attack from #14.
To the north, #1 moves in a little closer, but still keeps his distance (5-ft step to AX 9). To the west, #8 and #9 motion to each other and then move back down the hallway and out of sight.
Next Up: Felos, Xanthippe, Jacinth, Festa, Lotus Dragons.

Navior |

Can I close the door on this guy? Would that be a move or standard action? Would it draw an AoO?
It's a move action that does not attract an AoO.
Felos tries again to hit the Lotus Dragon in front of him, but once more his flail only contacts the stone wall.
Next Up: Xanthippe, Jacinth, Festa, Lotus Dragons, Felos.

Xanthippe |

"Third time's the charm," Tippi murmurs to herself, recoiling her whip and flicking it past Festa to the Lotus Dragon in the room. "Or not," she sighs. Rapidly running out of options, she reaches around Festa and attempts to open the door next to him.
Trip attempt vs. Lotus Dragon #14 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 = 13; open door at AT 7
C'mon, cure wand storage room!

ROUND 11
CURRENT EFFECTS:
Bless (entire party)
Tippi's whip only strikes the floor again. Reaching past Festa, she opens the door on the left to reveal another corridor. Although she can't see far down it, Festa can see that it turns to the right after only a short distance.
Jacinth shuts the door in #3's face and then channels energy, being sure to exclude the Lotus Dragons from the effect (a good choice as Felos did inflict some damage on #10 a couple rounds ago). Healing warmth spreads over Jacinth, Felos, and Tippi.
Meanwhile, Festa continues his attack on #14. Although his next strike isn't as powerful as he intended it to be, it turns out to be enough to knock the Lotus Dragon out.
Lotus Dragon #13 (the one behind #14) looks down at the two bodies now crumpled in the doorway and apparently decides that it's not worth facing Festa. He backs away from the door and out of sight.
Beside Jacinth, #3 opens the door again and attacks. #10 continues to press her attack on Felos.
Lotus Dragon #3 rapier at Jacinth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 -- hit
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Lotus Dragon #10 rapier at Felos: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 -- miss
#3 scores a nasty hit on Jacinth, but Felos is able to dodge aside of the attack on him.
Next Up: Felos, Xanthippe, Jacinth, Festa, Lotus Dragons.

Xanthippe |

Tippi hangs her whip back at her belt, grabs her brass key, and gives it another twist, slamming the door in Lotus Dragon #3's face once again. "Mind your toes! Festa, go help them on the other end! Jacinth, this way!"
Move: sheathe weapon; standard: close door at AU 9

Jacinth the Bright |

Once again, Jacinth shuts the door, but this time, rather than healing, he spears at #10.
Longspear: reach, bless
to hit 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 = 20 to hurt1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Finally a hit. Now you guys follow that up.

Festa Fire |

Can Jacinth also take a 5ft step toward AU8, then Festa can take over door duty; either way:
Festa nods and dashes passed Tippi to where Jacinth was guarding the door - again he prepares to smack whatever foe carelessly gets in too close.
Focussed blow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 1 = 5
