Spending time to rip his way out of the webs, he sees that the blue spider has moved too far away for him to lob a ball of fire at it. Striding forward and away from the webby walls, he'll throw an Intimidating Glare at the remaining spider, hoping to scare it off guard for if it attacks Olaf.

Intimidating Glare: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Intimidating glare loses the Auditory trait and gains the Visual trait and doesn't suffer penalty for not speaking the same language. I have very scary eyebrows(which isn't as cool as having scary fire)

Yeah I was reading the Afflictions rules and it seems like the poison is treated as separate. Seems like it has its own rules for if she gets the different degrees of success.

I'm not sure if the monster's stat block says anything differently for if there is a critical with its poison. But it seems to me they are treated as separate sources of damage.

Fentus, knowing he should have led with fire, runs up next to the radiant Zainab and flicks his hand producing a small fireball and throws it the Yellow Spider directly head, "I'll start blasting the ones in the back, if you hold the line Olaf!"

Looking at the others, "We might as well finish exploring this cave to its fullest since we are right here? Then double back and finish the castle's basement? Both seem equally important, we might find more answers in this cave but the Citadel seems pretty pressing as well. Divine Evolution: Prerequisites bloodline that grants divine spells

The divine might provided by your bloodline fiows through you. You gain an additional spell slot of your highest level, which you can use only to cast your choice of heal or harm. You can cast either of these spells using that spell slot, even if they aren’t in your spell repertoire.

Oh I did a little bit up, it was right after my recap I posted.

But I can post them again. It was a pretty low key level for me.

1 new spell learned, Blood Vendetta .

Also on the spell front I can cast Heal 1/day for free at my highest spell level. The other class options weren't that great honestly.

And his skill feat he learned was Bon Mot, which I also wasn't terribly sold on but didn't really see anything better at this time for him to take.

Opening and closing his hands, "I don't know about that, I feel like I only unlocked this healing magic thanks to your influence. Seems like the more I experience the more power is unlocked. Also level four for Fentus brings a new spell, Blood Vendetta . I really like the flavor and utility of this spell. A real "How dare you make me bleed my own blood" kind of spell. Made me laugh a little. Felt in character.

Also he learned how to Bon Mot I guess. And he gets a free spell slot to cast Heal or Harm at his highest spell level (lvl 2 spells currently).

I feel pretty good so far about where the story is at personally. My understanding of the story so far is:

My version of a recap, huge block of text:

So far we all gathered around to answer the Call for Heros by the city council. During that initial meeting the council building was lit on fire and attacked by small fire creatures and a devious halfling.

Additionally there was some sort of danger to the goblins at the old castle/citadel on the hill. Coincidentally it seemed the halfling had escaped to the citadel as well. With our sights set on the citadel and saving the goblin tribe that lived there and catching the Halfling we set off to begin our journey.

Arriving at the Citadel we decided to just brave the front entrance, turned out there were some terrible hairless dogs guarding it so we backed up slowly and looked for an alternate entrance. Finding that alternate entrance we then began romping through the castle getting into fights until we arrived at a large courtyard with a dragon thing guarding it. We fought it, defeated it barely then saw the Halfling threatening the remnants of the Goblin tribe.

Using some of Fentus' infernal magic, he charmed the Halfling Calmont and was able to convince him that the goblins were beneath him and that Fentus and Calmont were fast friends. I convinced him to go into hiding in the woods and wait for me to return and I'd help him with finding the treasure in the basement.

The goblins explained that very strange creatures had forced them from their home in the basement and we agreed to go kick some ass in the basement. We went into the basement and begun kicking ass. Fought a bunch of Lizardfolk or something and strange birds from the Far South. Seemed impossible for such creatures to be all the way up here unless magic was involved. We also found some Kobolds and we befriended them and placated them by calling them great dragons and such. They agreed to help us secure the basement or at least not fight us as we secured the basement. We explored another wing filled with terrible undead. We almost met our end thanks to these specters and zombies and revenents. Here we found a tunnel that led all the way back to Town and popped out in the basement of the seedier bar in town. Fentus intimidated the owner into spilling her secrets that Voz used it.

Connecting the dots that Voz must be responsible for whatever is going on with the Castle and the Undead there we went to her house. Inside while exploring Fentus was almost sliced in half by a terrible trap he sprung. Barely living through that they found evidence that Voz was at a local landmark known as Guardian's Way. We asked around, got directions then set off.

Bringing us to today where we stumbled upon some bandits in league with Voz but we were able to convince them it was in their best interest to leave Voz's service. We traded away a magic item and some promises and then went into this Cave where we confronted Voz. She revealed she was evil and now thanks to her letters we have proof she is an Adherent of Norgorbor and truly unredeemable evil.

Looking at the others after reading the letters, "We'll have to do everything we can to stop her. And more references to Alseta's Ring. Seems like everything is coming to a head in the basement of the Citadel. Might be time to head back there and finish exploring it,"

Fentus releases the energy he had crackling in his hand, letting the hellfire pounding in his ears slow to a steady dull thrum. "Let's not talk about my attempt at being heroic, it didn't really go as planned."

Looking to the spider creature, "I'm sure we'll see Voz again before this is all over,"

He'll begin to explore the area with the others.

Fentus blinking his eyes as he re awakens, wounded, and in pain, he weakly croaks as he sees the rest of the group, "Did'ya at least stop Voz?"

He stands shakily to his feet then blasts a black inky ray from his hand, trying to sap some of the intense bugly strength from this monster.

Ray of Enfeeblement: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

If that hits, it needs to make a Fort Save DC19. Ray of Enfeeblement Kind of a sucky spell, requires both me to make an attack roll and them to fail a saving throw.

Rushing headlong into the room chasing Voz, he comes eye to many eyes with the spider creatures, "Oh that witch, she's led us into a trap! Go on without me, I'll hold these spiders off, you guys chase Voz! She's heading back for the entrance!"

Fentus rushes the rest of the way into the room, in a heroic act of defiance he wouldn't have thought possible for himself to commit to before casting a new spell, he slams his hands together creating a thunderous clap, exploding on the spider-like creatures.

He'll then add some fire to the flames and throw a produce flame at her.

He moves to the side to keep sight of Voz, not letting her slip away he moves his flaming sphere back on top of her. And then folows up, providing guidance on Olaf, trusting the big guy to handle whatever those skeletons can throw his way.
