Eventually the PC's have a chance to get a fragment of the rod of seven parts, and a group of interested devils comes to 'relieve' them of their prize by force. If the devils had succeeded in my game I would have used the opportunity to send the players into Hellspike Prison to get it back before the devils could turn it over to their master. Alas, the party prevailed and I had to put my beautiful maps away for another day.

3 players, 3 pcs, three instances of the leadership feat, plus one undead leadership feat. So, 7.

Just about to start Prince of Redhand, after a sidetrek into the bowels of Maure castle.

Aden NE Human Fighter/Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker
Cash CN Human Sorceror/Archmage
Zeke CN Human Cleric

and their cohorts

Abdul NE Human Rogue/Assassin
Spike CN Half-Dragon(Augmented Human) Fighter/Tempest
Sean CN Ghost(Augmented Human) Bard

I remembered the Fire Resistance.... But forgot the Spell Resistance... You can imagine how that turned out.

The lack of a rogue shouldn't be too much of a problem. I only had 3 players and none of them was a rogue and haven't had any problems. The cleric may be a bit more of a problem, but really favored soul can heal almost as well, the only thing you're really losing is turning (or in the case of my players, rebuking...).

Speaking of traps, my players actually had something of a complaint about Bazol's trapped chest in his bedroom. That complaint being that for such an amazingly thought out and well described trap it was overcome by something as simple as a dispel magic.

My players decided to do most of my work for me with the dopplegangers without realizing it. How? They all took leadership! Not only that, but one of the cohorts was a rogue only a few levels above Ixaxian, so using the same stats for most of the game was no problem since they had very similar abilities. Plus, that pc was evil and had his cohort spend their first day in town away from the party pickpocketing. Perfect opportunity to be replaced.
