Had some doubts about your character (not fond of most 3pp) but I like your character. Good background, and all your class abilities are listed. Personally, I would have gone with the slayer class, or ninja, since the stalker resembles them, but you got to go with what you like. You need to detail your equipment.

I've tried out a lot of melee POW characters but not an archer. Wanted to give it a try. Doubt that will change. I thought I had given him at least some gear but I guess not. Also need to choose some maneuvers but I figured that at least could wait until after knowing whether I was in or not.

That's a fair point hedwick, I'd like to point out that I did. I have it outlined in my backstory as loup originally wanted.

If chill still doesn't allow it, I understand.

You realize they are the bad guys right? The runelords. And having at least finished part of the second book, I can tell you that is a bad idea. It will most likely pit you against the party.

Sad I missed the first recruitment but if your gracious enough to run another table I would be happy to try again. Everything should be good if all the previous creation rules are in play.

Nevermind. Went with Gunslinger (Musket Master). A naive kid who wants to be a pirate and go on adventures. Little does he know how awful they can be.

The sights bob around the target. Something so distant was hard keep a steady fix on. But wait. Arc. Bullets were like arrow. They just moved faster. So it would still drop as an arrow did. The sights raise, now bobbing an inch above the target. That should be enough. Next came a slow exhale. Relax. Pressure on the trigger. The weaving sights slowed. They settled over the target. Now the hard part. The world went black. There was a thunderous boom and a moment of heat over his hand and face. He continued to exhale so as not to breath the smoke. Then a sound so faint he almost missed it. His ears still rung from the explosion but the ting of metal was unmistakable. The world came back, the sights no longer in the way. The target is no longer there. This is the last memory Emilio remembers along with a singular emotion at that point. Intense satisfaction.

Here is part two. Instead of changing the whole character I decided to leave the first level as rogue, for rogue skill set, but the rest are going to be pure magus, unless someone knows a way to get Stealth, Sleight of Hand, and Disable Device as class skills.

Backstory Part 2:

"Is this your card?" Emilio said for the third time that day. He had lost count how many times he had said it over the last few years. He was sure the true number would drive him to suicide. But he was a very important part of Lamm's Little Lambs now. Lamm's favorite but the Lambs' least. He was the distraction now, the one that drew the eyes of the crowd while his associate's pocketed all the shiny baubles they could find. A child that could do magic tricks? How could people not stop and stare. In some cases the magic was legitimate, enough to make even the most skeptical in the crowd ponder the act. Which was the point.

Once Lamm discovered Emilio could use real magic, he told him to start doing magic tricks. He didn't say how the boy was supposed to do this, just when and where to do it. That meant Emilio had to work fast and learn quick. He had to recall the minor parlor tricks his father performed and watch street performers to make a good show. His first attempts were less than stellar, and he paid for them. By the time he got it, he was almost as spotted as a Dalmatian. But when people finally started to stop and watch, things changed. Now he was Lamm's favorite, his golden goose. With real magic, Emilio could out perform all the other corner magicians. That meant Lamm was getting more money from his little Lamb's that were sifting through the audience, cutting purses and picking pockets.

Unfortunately, this also separated him from all the other's like him under Lamm's rule. He was Gaedren's favorite. He was treated differently, better. They didn't like that. And they showed him how much they didn't more than once. Things escalated slowly. First it was shunning. No one talked to him like they used to. Then they completely ignored him, giving him mean looks. He tried to share the extra stuff, food and blankets and such, that he was getting, but it didn't help. It eventually devolved into mean pranks, tripping, shoving, itching powder. And then outright violence. More than once Lamm had to step in to protect his investment.

They never realized the pressure he was under to perform, to meet expectations, or meet Lamm's foot. If he wasn't getting it from the orphan's he was getting it from Lamm. Its no wonder he snapped one day. He'd had enough. He pulled a knife on one of the other children, one of the bigger and meaner ones, right out on the streets. The guard took it from there. Gaedren went to clear him out but he wasn't in the cell. All they found was the key ring, which usually hung several feet away, in the lock of his open cell.

Emilio planned the escape. He knew his magic could reach the keys and intentionally got himself arrested. Once free, he disappeared into the shadows of Korvosa. For a short time he tried to find legitimate work, but thievery was too hard wired into him at this point and he was untrusting of everyone. Eventually he fell in with the only group he could count on to be anything but trustworthy, the Cerulean Society. They were largest band of rogues and cutthroats in the city. They could offer protection but only if he could offer something equal. For once, Lamm's teaching actually aided him here. He was a more than capable thief and smarter than most of them too. He also found he had an invaluable knack for spellcraft. Sure, he was in almost the same situation he was in with Lamm, but at least he was free to choose it this time. And that made all the difference.

Seeing your confusion here is some crunchiness. I think I have finally settled on rogue/wizard/arcane trickster. Rogue first. And unfortunately, it will be closer to half BAB. I thought about magus but I want to have higher spell levels and get Arcane Trickster earlier. Very sad but I am going to roll with it. More of a rogue-y wizard than a wizard-y rogue.

Don't have enough time to right a whole backstory like I normally do so here is the idea and synopsis.

Hanz:
Hanz adopted father was a well known paladin and adventurer back in his home. But after many years he decided to retire to the simple life of a farmer far away from where he was famous, which was right next to the plot of land that became the home of the Silver shields. And being a paladin, he and Colewin became fast friends. Hanz entered his life a few years later. The half-giant child was orphaned and left for dead until the former paladin found him. He sensed no evil in the child so he brought him back to the farm and took care of him.

Hanz is not bright and he is shy around most people as they haven't been very welcoming. Children a fourth of his size have bullied him, taking advantage of his gentle nature. He stands nearly 8 feet tall and is strong enough to lift a wagon but he is scared of the dark and spiders. Colewin never saw much of Hanz initially but one day some men from the paladin's past came looking for him. The fight started at the Silver Shields home but Coelwin lead several off alone. He got ambushed on Hanz's father's farm. He was about to fight his way out when Hanz showed up. He seemed more confused then concerned about the armed men on his father's land. Then the mercenaries attacked, thinking him some kind of monster, until Hanz pulled an apple tree out of the ground and started swinging it at them. While they tried to figure out how to flank the beast, Colewin charged their own flank and made short work of them.

And after the fight, Hanz seemed more concerned about Colewin and the tree he uprooted than the men that just tried to kill him. Colewin saw possibilities in the usually gentle giant and invited him to become a Silver Shield, to help stop bad men like the ones he fought today. He said he'd have to ask his pa first.

Hanz speaks slowly and doesn't get the words right all the time but every now and then has a moment of clarity and insight people find surprising. These are usually prefaced with "Paw always said" because his father has attempted to teach him the paladin code in ways he would understand. His father also saw the hill giant rage hidden deep inside, hidden usually by his gentle nature. As a child, he sometimes threw tantrums capable of leveling a house. So his father has done his best to teach him the difference between right and wrong and to put others before himself. To turn that anger into righteous fury. Both he and Colewin believe it worked.

Here is my submission. Still working on it though.

HP level 2: 1d12 ⇒ 3

6 it is.
