I'm afraid I'm away for the weekend, but I should be able to write up my character by Tuesday at the latest.

For me, that depends a bit on what politics means. If we're talking about a game where we start out opposed to one person, find out they're being manipulated by a second, who's secretly in the pay of a foreign power which is being cleverly tricked into starting a war by....the first person, then I'm all for that.

On the other hand, in this format I'd prefer that the party be working as a team, at least locally. That is, I'd like us all to be working together towards the same outcome. (Though it's even better if we have secondary motives that don't align, so we might have reasons to prefer different ways of achieving those goals.)

I'm still playing around with my concept, so I'll mention the things I'm definitely interested in, and the things I'm still considering (but which are easy to change if they conflict with other people).

I'm envisioning a somewhat-disgraced priest. (Think demoted and given a lousy assignment, rather than outright defrocked.) He'd gotten dragged into the great game through family ties, and then blew an important mission by falling in love with the wrong person (offending, of course, both his family and his superiors in the church).

I'd originally conceived the character as a Vodacce, but if we're actually in Vodacce it may make more sense to be exiled from somewhere else. (Some small tweaks to the backstory would be necessary.) I figure I'll make that call when I have a better idea what countries other people are from.

In terms of party role, I'm thinking a mix of scholarly and spy skills, and perhaps (depending on what direction we decide we want the game to go in) some basic self-defense. I don't feel strongly about any of that, so I'll be flexible about stepping on roles anyone else wants.
