Seeing his tormentor flying toward them, breathing fire, and shouting about how he will torture him again, Elrohir decides to take matters into his own hands.

Focusing all of his anger, torment and pain into his bow Swift action, activating Wind Reader and takes a shot at Grimjowl.

Guys, gals and all others,

I want to apologize for my extended absence, I am having serious difficulty getting into the proper mindset for post torture/wingless(natural) Elrohir. He's been severely damaged, and since I've not every even kinda experienced something like that, I don't really know how to portray him.

I'm not saying I'm quitting, but if you guys want me to leave, I will. I just am not sure how best to play 'Sting' at this point, and it's super frustrating, especially cuz 'Flick' was super fun.

Sting joins the others on deck, glancing warily the incoming ship. "Uh, guys. That's the Blood Drake, the ship Grimjowl helms. It's crew can see in the dark, and it's much more heavily armed and armored than we are. About the only advantages we have is that we're slightly faster, and most of their crew can't fly."

Obviously Sting has his revenge, but beyond that, he loves to explore. While his capture and torment killed a certain amount of his personality, his innate curiosity was too strong to completely die.

Looking back, I would say that's probably why he singed onto the group originally, before my leaving. A chance to go new places, see new things, and of course, fly around/among them all.

Upon landing, he goes to Connor and fills him in on everything "I'm not sure that cloaked figure is my tormentor, but it sounds like it could be."

He flat out ignores Volita, and any talk of trading and cargo.

Sting bows in thanks first to Ma'ver, and then to the red-haired elf, and the girl with the big bow. "Thank you all so very much. I greatly appreciate your help and information."

He turns to leave, then pauses, and looks back "While our first impressions weren't the best, it was nice to be among fellow elves for a little awhile, even if we aren't the exact same. Again, thanks" He says with a warm smile, shades of the old 'Flick' floating to the surface.

Yea, I'm not really into playing Traders & Cargo Haulers. D&D is my more speed.

That said, as long as it doesn't clog up too much of the actual game(which is what I was worried it was doing before), and it gets Volita some action, but also moves forward other story, I'm cool with *some* trading.

As the blonde makes her comment that seemingly sounds like she might try to take his wings, Sting unslings his bow, but before he gets a chance to knock an arrow, the elder appears and he puts down his weapon.

Turning to her, he bows in respect "Honored one, as I just told these children, my wings were torn off by a monstrous lizardfolk, who then saw fit to torture me for his own amusement."

Sting lands, near one of the groups, but with enough room between them to not appear openly hostile or intrusive. He keeps his hands visible, and away from his bow or other weapons.

"Afternoon. I, uh, am with a, um, trading vessel, that stopped here after getting lost. Uh, I could use some information, if possible" He says, in Elven, clearly a bit intimidated.

Are they winged elves? Or do they lack wings and they are sneering cuz mine are magic?

Sting accompanies Conner, as finding a map seemed like it would involve interacting with the least amount of people. With his current mindset, he was a bit of a liability, and figured it would be best to avoid getting into any unnecessary fights.

Elrohir spends as much of the intervening week as possible flying around, whether its in the city or just around there ship. Whatever time is not spent in the skies is generally spent either engaging in target practice, or personal alone time(ie brooding).

When the group gathers to discuss what to do next, he comments "I get the feeling we've exhausted our options here. If the only place where even rumors of the blue/grey lizardfolk are from the south, then should we not head there?"

Upon landing back on the airship, Elrohir went belowdecks pretty much right away. As somebody more likely to fly than walk, he *hated* when his wings got wet.

After drying off, he tied himself to his bed, knowing that to try and remain un-secure would be very bad indeed.

Once the storm was over, with all of its rocking of the boat, Sting made his away back up top.

Spotting Conner he said "Well, that was just plain awful. Can we never do that again?

Sorry mdt! My Septs are always crazy busy, as its not only my birthday, but also my bestie's(seven days after mine). This year was extra nuts cuz I'm potentially in-between jobs and still looking for a place to live(Been staying at my mom's atm).

No worries, as I said, I don't think I was clear enough. Just bummed about potentially missing out on a scene with the Elf captain.

The entire time they are in the tavern, Sting is super fidgety. He had just gotten back his wings, and he was aching to try them out. Granted, he had flown some along the ship, but that was different. He loved to glide, dive, whirl and soar within a city, as that was challenging. Plus, doing so always allowed him to see so much more than those bound to the ground.

So he sits near Connor, near twitching with the need to get outside and take to the sky. "How much longer you think before Adran either gets into a fight or decides he's done being yelled at and walks away? I wanna stretch my wings" Despite the incredible torment and torture he knows Elrohir endured, this is something Connor recognizes from the old Flick, the almost burning desire to fly.

I think there was a mix up, probably on my end. What I was trying to ask upon landing was if we were told by locals about any particular laws against flying specifically in this city. As most of us have wings, I thought it would be kinda basic/general knowledge to be told not to fly. Like, if there as a no guns rule, and we all had rifles strapped to our backs, I would expect those who greeted us to be all 'hey, no guns allowed'. Unless they are all horrible jerks looking to screw over newcomers.

Uh, that's not the way things sounded when I asked earlier. Both you and Connor seemed to suggest that flying was generally not allowed in places with non fliers, and as I specifically asked if I was allowed to fly in the city and wasn't told I could, that indicated to me that I wasn't allowed to fly. Something about itchy bow fingers.

Cuz seriously if I knew I could fly in this city, I had planned to go off after the elf chick and chat with her in private, but that's clearly a missed opportunity now.

Being unable to fly around the city is a pretty big drawback for Sting. It's like he might as well not even gotten his wings back till after this trip. I'm not saying he's totally incapable of interacting with people, but so much of his character and personality revolves around flying that it's hard to picture him just walking around trying to talk to people. I had something all planned out for the dock scene, but then was told I can't fly, so that ruined the whole plan

I gotta agree with Alys, the whole trade stuff is not anything I'm super interested in. I know RP is important, and I get things could go really well for us, or really badly, but for the most part while I am OK with some of the RP and such, I don't wanna get too bogged down in the details of trading our stuff.

Wasn't sure if we would have been told, considering most of our crew are winged. Would seem kinda standard, 'don't kill unless in self defense, robbery is allowed unless you get caught, oh and since most of your crew has wings, we have a no flying withing the city limits rule'

From his perch, Sting is able to overhear a good portion of the conversation between Connor and the small group that met them. The elven captain was intriguing, perhaps a potential ally there.

Sting would be on the side closest to the dock and probably perched up on a mast or some other spot that gave him a vantage point.
