She moves to the left, out of the repel metal line.

Elmora pops her bow out of her glove, and fires a rapid volley of vital strikes.

Vital/Rapid Shot:+1 Mighty Holy Composite Longbow +21/+21/+16 [+15BAB,+5DEX,+4enh,+2focus,-2size,-2rapid] 3d6+3d6+10+2d6 P(19-20/x3)

Elmora moves to a location directly above the creature and blasts a maximized cone of cold down upon it. just barely making the penetration1d20+23=25 SAVE 1d20=6+17=23 FAIL!

Elmora feels herself being crushed, as if she wants to fold in on herself..."Implosion spell" she gasps...and with a last push of strength...makes the save 1d20+16+8=36 Partially due to her giant size.

Elmora flies closer, and Spontaneously heightens her disintegrate to 9th level. DC29

She then shifts to Huge Giant Form (Storm Giant) and pops her bow from her glove.

strangely enough, my feats disappeared off my sheet, I'll have to update it from my home file...

After Bartimus Acts:

Round 5: Elmora shifts her own for to that of a pseudodragon. Flies up and then casts Dispel Magic, Greater on the area where she sense the creature with blindsense. 1d20+19=32

The Greater invisibiliy is dispelled.

Suddenly, a Hulking mass of Tentacles yes and sharp toothed maws appears...

That Which Man was not Meant to Hear!!!

It continues to shift from ethereal to normal space via the blink spell...fading in and out...almost surreal....

Elmora Casts disintegrate Ranged Touch:1d20+15=28
Fort Save 1d20=16+19=35 = SAVE for reduced dmg.
DMG:5d6=18

Seeing the elemental doing nothing she commands it to attack the Earth elemental, "Bralani attack the Earth elemental."

Bralani cast Lightning at the brute. 6d6=18, 6d6=26, 6d6=26 for dmg (3,11,11)

Total dmg to the Elemental from elmora & crew: 75

Elmora realizes that this must be a pseudo-natural elemental...

"It is resistant to electricity and acid...."

Round 3:

Elmora casts greater invis on herself while she shifts for into that of a Storm Giant. (btw, the ceiling is a 50' vaulted ceiling.)

She orders the fire elemental to attack whatever's in the pit.

Round 2:

"SnapKrrrackllPaawp" she says to the elder fire elemental, "Into the room"

Elmora moves up to the door and casts haste.
(Will last through round 21.)

Elmora makes her saving throw, taking half dmg (17) (4 temp HP remain from greater heroism)

She casts greater invis on herself and waits where she is.

Casts summon monster IX to summon an elder fire elemental on Round 1
Casts Summon Monster VIII to summon 3 Bralani for healing duty

Already active spells: 19 minutes-5 minutes=14 minutes remaining
greater heroism on Grumble Grog.
greater heroism on self.

shape change on self 3 hours remain
flame arrow 3 hours remain
potion of owl's wisdom 25min remain
potion of barkskin +5 25min remain

OK I think I got her converted...

Elmora realizes the path of the summoner isn't all it's cracked up to be and casts a wish spell to re-spec into an universalist! LOL

EDIT: And it's a 27 HD dragon, not 25 HD.

No by the initial dragon's presence (4d6 rounds) And what round did that affect her?

How many rounds was Elmora Shaken by the Dragon's presense?

OK cool...Elmora then continues to flee...good luck sleepy....

It's like 25 HD or something ludicrous. Dragons suck.

I think it's only an adult white dragon which would be 18HD, which would make sense since it was the mount...

Actually is the dragon 18 HD?

Cuz if it's 18HD, then none of us are shaken, and the dazzling display will only put us at shaken instead of increasing the state to frightened/panicked

Frightened

A frightened creature flees from the source of its fear as best it can. If unable to flee, it may fight.

A frightened creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. A frightened creature can use special abilities, including spells, to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape.

Frightened is like shaken, except that the creature must flee if possible. Panicked is a more extreme state of fear.

Panicked

A panicked creature must drop anything it holds and flee at top speed from the source of its fear, as well as any other dangers it encounters, along a random path. It can’t take any other actions. In addition, the creature takes a –2 penalty on all saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. If cornered, a panicked creature cowers and does not attack, typically using the total defense action in combat. A panicked creature can use special abilities, including spells, to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape.

Panicked is a more extreme state of fear than shaken or frightened.

Frightful Presence (Ex)
A young adult or older dragon can unsettle foes with its mere presence. The ability takes effect automatically whenever the dragon attacks, charges, or flies overhead. Creatures within a radius of 30 feet × the dragon’s age category are subject to the effect if they have fewer HD than the dragon. A potentially affected creature that succeeds on a Will save (DC 10 + ½ dragon’s HD + dragon’s Cha modifier) remains immune to that dragon’s frightful presence for 24 hours. On a failure, creatures with 4 or less HD become panicked for 4d6 rounds and those with 5 or more HD become shaken for 4d6 rounds. Dragons ignore the frightful presence of other dragons.

How many HD does this white dragon have? 18 HD right? so none of us would be affected by it...am I correct?

Wait was this from the Dazzling Display or the Frightful Presence?

So Elmora's Round 8 action is ducking behind the column and casting Greater Heroism on herself

Elmora has some fire spells....mwuahahahaha

heh, cuz it's not a word, it's "boxes" O=Available, X=used. Apologies for the confusion...

Elmora ducks behind the nearest column (to the right of the screen) 15 feet movement

then she will cast greater heroism on herself.

Command the avorals to go lay on hands those that most need it.

*EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE* '

says Elmora as she flees at full speed away from the dragon...

"ohmuhgawd, ohmuhgawd, ohmuhgawd..." leaving a yellow trail in her wake

Dazzling display, nasty...well there goes the solid fog/incendiary cloud I was gonna set-up.

The avorals continue their magic missiling the dragon I would assume...will they follow me so I won't get outta their range?

EDIT: Runs like a little girl...frightened for 7 rounds...

I thought I had also ordered them to cast aid on those around, not sure if they would have gotten to it.

Wow I totally did stuff in my mind that didn't get on the board...LoL

OK so here's the reality of it.
Round 0 (prep rnd) greater invis
Round 1 greater heroism on Grumpy
Round 2 Summon Monster (Avorals cast see invis, even though they have true seeing as a SQ...)
Round 3 mass enlarge (Avorals sit around with thumb up their tails)
Round 4 activate armor/fly (Avorals follow)
Round 5 hold monster (Avorals cast magic missile)
Round 6 feeblemind (Avorals cast magic missile again, at the giant now.)

So, no giant form for her, it was all in my mind. As was the Aid, which I thought I ordered after the see invis debacle.

Sleepy had a good system last round, I think I'm going to have to implement a system like that myself when I DM my parties at upper level. Although, I was thinking of making a character sheet that had places on it for sliding paper clips like the old deadlands sheets did, but these would be STR/DEX etc sliders, to keep better track of effect on the character sheet.

I've also come to the conclusion that summoners suck at upper levels. (especially since I gave up evocation spells to be a conjurer...)

Oi...that would have been crazy...

wait, dragons are immune to paralysis? I need to run more dragons! I totally forgot that.

(I would have lived from that attack tho...+6 Con from Giant Form 2 = 45 HP, aid from Avorals, 13 temp HP....Unless I failed a Fort save for massive damage.)

Time to remove the dragon

Feeblemind

Spell Penetration 1d20+18=33

Edit:Changed my mind about what spell to cast

Cool, then they can just pelt the dragon with the magic missiles.

Elmora will also command the Avorals to use their magic missiles to strike every image of the dragon.

Oh yeah, I would have given orders for the Avorals to follow me...(not much experience playing a summoner)

Next rounds action since Elmora should be able to see the Dragon, she will attempt to Hold Monster on it.

Elmora will activate her armors flight ability, and fly up 30 feet, then toward the sound of the battle (60ft speed) Bow loaded with flame arrow.

Huh, great...see I saw that the Avoral had True Seeing as a SQ...and See Invisibility as a spell-like ability...and without my books, I made a bad assumption...oops....cuz why would they need see inis if they have Tree Seeing as a SQ....

Elmora will use a free action to tell one of the Avorals to cast see invis on Tialla next round.

I also have some other spells to counter those spells.

It doesn't matter what you roll for Perception -- my ruling is that it's a DC 0 Perception check to hear the spellcasting, and at this distance you automatically succeed. Likewise, you can't fail the Spellcraft check to ID the spells.

I'm not looking for the spells, I'm watching for the dragon and giant!

And no enlarge for me, thanks. I need my AC as high as I can get!

Well I could always baleful polymorph you into a bacteria...that would be a huge AC!

I would say it's self-only also...

Enlarge person, Mass for those who want it. (if that's not a full round action, then she'll use a standard action to activate her armor...

Commands an Avoral to cast see invisibility on her.

I believe her armor activation is a free action. I could be mistaken though...but it's not a huge deal. (no books at the office.)

An avoral’s bones are strong but hollow, so even the largest specimens weigh no more than 120 pounds. An avoral is about 7 feet tall. Each of an avoral’s wings has a small hand at the midpoint. When the wings are folded, these appendages are about where human hands would be and can do nearly anything hands can do.

An avoral’s visual acuity is virtually unmatched: It can see detail on objects up to 10 miles away and is said to be able to discern the color of a creature’s eyes at 200 paces.

Avorals speak Celestial, Infernal, and Draconic, but can speak with almost any creature, thanks to their tongues ability.
Combat

On the ground, an avoral can lash out with its wings to deliver punishing blows. However, it prefers to meet its foes in the air, where it can employ its talons and make full use of its aerial speed and agility. It can’t make wing attacks while flying, however.

An avoral’s natural weapons, as well as any weapons it wields, are treated as good-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
Spell-Like Abilities

At will—aid, blur (self only), command (DC 14), detect magic, dimension door, dispel magic, gust of wind (DC 15), hold person (DC 16), light, magic circle against evil (self only), magic missile, see invisibility; 3/day—lightning bolt (DC 16). Caster level 8th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.
Fear Aura (Su)

Once per day an avoral can create an aura of fear in a 20-foot radius. It is otherwise identical with fear from an 8th-level caster (save DC 17). The save DC is Charisma-based.
Lay on Hands (Su)

As the paladin class feature, except that each day, an avoral can heal an amount of damage equal to its full normal hit points.
Speak with Animals (Su)

This ability works like speak with animals (caster level 8th) but is a free action and does not require sound.
True Seeing (Su)

This ability is identical with true seeing (caster level 14th), except that it has personal range and the avoral must concentrate for 1 full round before it takes effect. Thereafter the ability remains in effect as long as the avoral concentrates on it.
Skills

An avoral’s sharp eyes give it a +8 racial bonus on Spot checks.

and activates the flight power of her armor. She commands the Avoral to begin casting aid on her and then her allies.

I have the extra spell slot from intelligence bonus, not from the Ioun stone.

Never mind I see where I made the error, I looked at the wrong line.

This gives her 45 additional HP
+2 STR over her +6 enhanced
-2 AC Size/+6 natural Armor
+2 CMB Size
-2 dex
-2 atk from size.

Bow does 3d6 dmg.
sword does 3d8 dmg

Anything in the 3.5 Monster Manual. Nothing templated, though.

Ok so then her round 0 action was to cast greater invis on herself

Her round 1 action is the Greater Heroism.

What giant forms are you allowing for this playtest, any SRD giant?

Yes, her round 1 action:

Inititative:1d20+6=12

"Oh dear, dragons can be so frightful...Grumble, you might need to be heroic in this battle...so here..."

Prep spell: Greater Heroism

"I...oh...bother, I wish they hadn't run off like that..." "In opposite directions as well..." "We should have stayed here to prepare more for the battle."

Elmora and the Bralani:

Elmora orders the Bralani to each attack one of the Barbed Devils.

1d20+18=21, 1d20+18=22, 1d20+13=18, 1d20+8=26

Hah, a 3,4, and 5 on my big attacks.

I don't think any of THOSE hit...

Bralani full attack hastened:
1d20+12,1d20+12=20,20, 1d20+7=26, 1d20+12,1d20+12=24,13, 1d20+7=19

I don't think any of those hit...

Lots of little arrows flying around...like gnats...bouncing off the barbed devils thick hides.

Well at least she removed the fear from Grumble and the bralani helped Bartimus back up, those Cure Serious are kinda handy.
