Male Duros Scout 2

I'm going to have to pull out of running Ellor as I'm not really doing him or Nichos any justice at the moment, and it's not fair to either of them. He's still available for NPC use, but I need to focus my time and energy a bit more.

Male Duros Scout 2

I'm here, just trying to deal with a inconsistent work schedule.

Male Duros Scout 2

Pilot 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Seeing that the others are content to simply fire away at the skiff, Ellor backs up enough to give them room to do so while staying close to the enemy skiff.

Male Duros Scout 2

Pilot 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Ellor continues to hound the other driver, staying right on his tail, and even bumping right up along side to disrupt his opponent's stability a bit.

Male Duros Scout 2

Pilot 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Ellor takes over the controls, keeping on the heels of the enemy skiffs, clearly enjoying himself and his current role.

Male Duros Scout 2

Will get a post up in the morning. It's been a rough last several days.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor relaxes internally as the situation is clarified. "I am agreeable to that. Thank you for the further details; it is much easier to carry a job when one knows precisely what one is facing."

Male Duros Scout 2

"I would imagine the schematics of the palace of a major crime lord are not easily obtained under the best of conditions, which these are most certainly not. Still, we can keep our eyes open for any alternate entrances that may be hidden in the general area."

Male Duros Scout 2

"I suspect at this point, their numbers are reduced enough that infiltration would be tricky at best, suicidal at worst. I suggest we disrupt any activity around, into, and along the perimeter of the castle, keeping them off balance and making them think they face a much larger force, while identifying weak spots we can enter when the main assault begins to hit them from behind. When fighting with a guerilla sized force, it's best to stick to tactics that best suit that force. Direct assault will be necessary for ultimate victory, but it can only succeed if preceded by feints, distracting subterfuge, and the general sowing of chaos amongst the enemy. I don't suppose anyone picked up some high explosives at the armory? That would make the breaching part much easier when the time came for it."

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor should be ready to go. Venkru, we already got the hp for this level and the next.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor, not finding the hostility overly helpful, addresses the rodian quietly, "It's less about what I would want, and more about what is called for in this situation if I do not desire to see it get worse. Right now, it is still possible to cause some havoc before they can fully set their defenses. The more people who go to help do this, the better, but even just the four of us can improve the chances of tomorrow's larger assault." With that, he simply turns his bike to the droideka and the the other half of his team on the other bike, "Come on, we've talked long enough. Time has come to prove our words or prove our worth by dying in the attempt," before heading off toward the palace.

Ellor's idea is basically to hit and run on the flanks and weak spots of the castle and those who are still trying to get there to defend it, as well as set up campfires as if the palace was being surrounded by troops simply waiting for dawn to strike, keeping the defenders off balance enough to prevent them from digging in.

Using Trailblazing to find the best route to the rear of the palace. Survival 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Male Duros Scout 2

"Taking the entire palace probably isn't possible, but getting an advance team or two in that can prevent them from digging in might make a world of difference when the main force hits tomorrow." Ellor comments thoughtfully on his ally's idea.

Male Duros Scout 2

Intelligence 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Watching the explosion, Ellor can't help but ponder how desperate the defenders of the palace will be. When Yeebo shows up and explains the next stage of the plan, he can't help but wonder if he may have signed on for the wrong side. Still, without more evidence that the high loss of men came from bad command decisions rather than poor personal decisions on the part of those who died, he wasn't particularly in a position to voice his concerns out loud, despite his grave concerns about assaulting the palace. Even with the droids they "rescued," it wasn't going to be pretty, and it would be necessary to have a plan B ready just in case. Waiting to see if any of the others have any questions, and whatever answers they might get, Ellor waits for a chance to fix the droideka up properly. Catching Jarl's look, it relieves him that he may not be the only one to see the potential stupidity of this plan.

Male Duros Scout 2

"Works for me."

Male Duros Scout 2

"Shouldn't we warn the others?'

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor will take the rear again, covering their tail.

Male Duros Scout 2

Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Computer Use (to diable lock) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Ellor will sneak up and try to disable the lock so that the party can enter the room.

Male Duros Scout 2

"If it's locked by anything other than a computer, I'm not going to be of much use. As bad as it could get very quickly, I suspect our best bet is to bust the door down, and hope they aren't standing right over the bomb. I don't think anyone here is particularly good at non electronic locks."

Male Duros Scout 2

Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Ellor moves back to the group. "They're setting up a bomb to make this place go boom, and are about to move out. Time to break up the party, methinks."

Male Duros Scout 2

"Something's certainly off here. I just pray we aren't walking into a trap, and it's that the attack caught them unawares."

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

"Stay back here. I hear some voices, but can't quite here what they are saying." Ellor speaks quietly and will try to move forward stealthily to make out the conversation.

Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Male Duros Scout 2

"You lead. I'll cover our backs either way."

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor will wait for the others, and go last, keeping an eye behind him for anyone trying to catch them from the rear.

Male Duros Scout 2

stairs

Male Duros Scout 2

"Sounds good to me. The droid to cover our back while we strike the leadership. Just watch out for their bodyguards; trapped rats have a tendency to bite hard."

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor watches the alley as the others focus on the door, making sure that no one is coming on their rear.

Male Duros Scout 2

"Looks like its the end of the road for the free ride. Unless any of you folks fancy an old fashioned shoot out being on the wrong side of the defenses, I say we keep going on foot."

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor will start to circle his bike around the flank of the main action, getting a good sense of the surrounding area, and making sure enemy reinforcements are intercepted.

Male Duros Scout 2

Pilot 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

Male Duros Scout 2

"I say take the fight to the offices. Put some pressures on the higher ups to save their own skin." Ellor speaks as he slings his rifle on his shoulder, and hops onto the driver's seat of one of the speeders. "Hmm, not the best I've ever seen, but beggars can't be choosers."

Male Duros Scout 2

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
damage 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2) = 7
crit confirmation 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Duros Scout 2

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
damage 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) = 9

Ellor tries to take advantage of his enemy's surprise.

Male Duros Scout 2

Repair 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25+2 w/tool kit
Computer Use (reprogramming) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Ellor grabs a tool kit from the armory, and quickly goes to work to get the droideka functional enough to move, setting the programming to passively following (to avoid friendly fire) for the time being, leaving the full reprogramming to be done later by the experts. That done, he is ready to go to the garage, and see what further toys he can find there to play with.

Taking a tool kit (250 credits), and trying to establish just enough functionality on the droideka to be able to safely take it with us.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor will start with the droideka and maintenance droid, looking them over as he activates them.

Male Duros Scout 2

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4

Male Duros Scout 2

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
damage 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2) = 12

Ellor continues to shoot at his opponents from the cover of the doorway, focusing on the guard so that he can't activate any more droids.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor will edge up to the corner of the door and shoot at the neaest target from behind it's cover to give the melee types a clearer path.

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3) = 9

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor continues to watch the rear of the party, rifle ready to deal with anyone trying to come help from the garage.

Male Duros Scout 2

He never said he was a very good medic.

Male Duros Scout 2

Treat Injury on Jarl 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Duros Scout 2

Treat Injury on Torin 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Male Duros Scout 2

I'm still here. Just waiting on further action by the grenade throwing people.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor lets the combat experts take care of the sentry guns, his rifle aimed at the original entrance to cover their rear.

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor searches the dead guard for a key or override of some kind to open the door before trying one last time.

Computer Use 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 + anything he finds on the guard to be of use.

Male Duros Scout 2

Computer Use 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Looking at the dead man, Ellor comments quietly, "Should have fled while he had the chance."

Male Duros Scout 2

Escape Artist 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Male Duros Scout 2

Ellor gets to work on the door to the armory, trusting that the others can take out the outmatched guard.

Computer Use 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Male Duros Scout 2

"Not much left in either location, but if we move quickly, we can still secure some of the goodies you're looking for. Where do you want to head first?"

Male Duros Scout 2

"If it wasn't, I wouldn't be here. Even if this attack by itself is not worth much, the long term goals it supports are."

Male Duros Scout 2

"Battle does seem to cull the unfit, doesn't it. Shame to lose the good ones, as well, but at least they died for something they felt was worth fighting for. Sometimes that is all one can ask for in this harsh world." Ellor speaks quietly as he continues to go through the databanks of the computer.

Male Duros Scout 2

Does the computer list an inventory of what's in the armory and garage?
