Appearance
Eljah has wild, spiky black hair, a long mustache and chin beard and deep black eyes. He has a large tattoo of an earthen hand crushing a rock on his chest and piercings on his ears, nose and lips. He rubs dirt on his hands constantly and even sprinkles it on his food when he can. He prefers dark colors and rarely wears a shirt unless he has to. Eljah refuses to sleep indoors unless the weather is truly horrible; instead he beds down with a blanket and a rock as pillow near his childhood home.
Backstory
Born to poor parents in the district of Magnimar known as Underbridge, Eljah quickly showed promise as an understudy to a then unknown shopkeeper, Unsta Brilon, who opened up an apothecary shop in the Vista District. Eljah has worked in the shop most of his life, but though skilled at his craft, he often dreams of the day he can quit the shop and chase something more exciting as a profession. Unsta is frequently frustrated with the gnome, who has a history of being late and is often ungroomed. Truth be told, Unsta would have fired Eljah long ago if he thought he could find a better potion maker. Eljah's time away from work is spent mostly in Underbridge, where he practices his arcane gifts to the point of exhaustion. He hopes the letter from Gesario offers some promise of adventure.
