Zombie Orpheus brought us Dark Dungeons (based on the 80s anti-RPG comic) last year. Before that, it was JourneyQuest and The Gamers: Dorkness Rising and...

OK, they've made a bunch of stuff.

They're running a Kickstarter for a pilot season right now, which includes a new original series with the 2002 cast of The Gamers, and the cast of Demon Hunters (where this all kinda started back in 1999).

The other two shows are also cool:
* The Mirror Game is Scooby Doo meets Cthulhu
* BRASS is all steampunk airships

The nifty thing, though, is that they are treating this like the pilot season you see with 'shows on TV'. Basically, they're making the pilots and letting us (the viewers) determine which get fulls seasons.

They project is also four independent production companies, working together to support each other.

It's kinda cool, IMO, and I thought some of you might also like to check it out.

Thanks for trusting us with your baby, Paizo!

There's so much great Pathfinder art out there. It was both difficult and a pleasure to choose which ones to include.

Looking forward to reading what people think.

LotFP's insane Grand Adventure Campaign is in the home stretch. There's a long way to go to get a lot of the adventures funded, but there's still plenty of time if you're willing to get on board.

What this about?

* 19 adventures by 19 different authors (including Monte Cook and Richard Pett!) all up for crowdfunding in separate campaigns at the same time.

* Each adventure will be 32 or 48 pages, depending on the length of the adventure submitted by the writers and layout needs of the adventure.

* The adventures are for the LotFP Weird Fantasy RPG, which Rone and I featured recently on the Atomic Array podcast, but as LotFP is a second-generation "retro clone," the adventures will be easily compatible with all the other retro clones and the original games they are based on. James, the publisher, told me that fans have used LotFP adventures with games like D&D 3.5, 4e, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Shadow of Yesterday, and probably more I'm forgetting. Each adventure comes with an "OGL 3.PF" conversion PDF, so you can use these adventures!

James said the point of doing 19 adventures at once was to offer discounts for getting multiple adventure bundles. Those are still an option for those of you feeling confident or generous, but forget about that right now. Just look at individual adventures, and what the lower contribution levels get you for each adventure should they fund.

Even if any particular adventure had $0 pledged on it (and all have a lot more than that), it would only take 200 people to get an adventure funded at the $30 level. I'm pretty sure there are 200 people here that enjoy the adventures written by Mr. Pett (as opposed to that Logue guy, right!?!) and would enjoy his adventure - or the bonus sandbox that comes along with Monte's adventure. The same holds true for each and every author. I think there's plenty of time to get this done.

So why should you participate in this?

* You are putting money into the creator's hands. Over 50% of each adventure's $6000 goal goes directly to the writer and the artist. Plus money to the editor. And the layout/graphic designer. LotFP won't make a dime until after these are printed and put into general sale for all the non-diehards who didn't jump on the campaigns.

* Each author gets "final cut" on the adventure. You're getting what Monte Cook wants to do. What Richard Pett wants to do. What each author wants to do. LotFP will provide editorial input but the writer has final say, and sets the tone for the artwork.

* COOL ADVENTURES! HELLO!

Some of the adventures have extra perk options:

* Kelvin Green's Horror Among Thieves has a special deal going... they're publishing the adventure whether or not it funds. If it doesn't fund, everyone who contributed automatically gets their money back at the end of the campaign but when it's ready they'll send you the adventure for FREE anyway.

* Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus of GWAR)'s Towers Two has a T-shirt+poster deal at the $50 level and that plus GWAR concert tickets at the $75 level.

* Aeron Alfrey has art prints available at the $40 level and that and a poster at the $75 level.

* Jennifer Steen is fresh off her successful Project Ninja Panda Taco kickstarter, and the $30 level for her Depths of Paranoia adventure also includes a mini Princess Ninja Panda Taco

Here's a link to the full list of adventures

If you have any questions, I'm sending this thread to James at LotFP so he can come over an answer questions...

PVP for Pathfinder excited me so much, I knew we had to have Mark on the Array. We released the show today.

Conflict Roleplaying (Atomic Array 042)

Most RPGs involve groups of players pitted against a challenge orchestrated by a GM, but there are times when that guy on the other side of the game table… man, you just want to slap the overconfident grin off his stupid mug. If you want player vs player competition—if you’re looking for a chess match that pits your wits against real-world prey—you want Conflict Roleplaying. Love this book!

A few months ago, I teamed up with Tucker Stone from comiXology to produce a show called Advanced Common Sense. Every week Tucker runs down the most pulled comics books - the new releases, that is - based on the preferences of the users at comiXology. If you like comic books, I hope you'll check it out.

Advanced Common Sense plays on War Pig Radio.

I also post the individual episode on my website, at least until I can find a permanent home for the archives.

The minute RPG writer Rone “The Jade” Barton saw the comic strips of Hugo “Butterfrog” Solis on the Paizo forums, he knew he wanted a to work with Hugo on a strip for Atomic Array, our biweekly gaming podcast. Hugo came on board and the two of them created Blammo’s Atomic Episodes – A new RPG-based web comic.

Atomic Array spotlights RPG games of every stripe, including our Pathfinder episode,so our mascot, Blammo, a sardonic lil mushroom cloud, saunters boldly from strip to strip, through the many specific game worlds featured on the Array.

Come check out our first efforts and let us know what you think. The guys are working to get a bunch done quickly and soon we’ll catch up to our latest episodes.

Blammo strips thus far:
Colonial Gothic from Episode One.
Reign of Discordia from Episode Two.
Prophecy from Episode Three.

Click on the strips to enlarge them, and while you’re there, go on and download an episode or two.

NOTE: You'll need to scroll down a little to see the script, and want to click the image to enlarge it.

Here it is! Want to hear Mike Mearls and Jeremy Crawford give an exclusive pre-release interview about Player's Handbook 2?

Wizards invited Rone (my co-host on Atomic Array) and I up to WotC HQ last week. We grabbed a couple copies of PHB2 and sat down with the designers to riff about what's inside.

Have a Listen: Player's Handbook 2 (Atomic Array 018)

Wizards also gave me a dozen copies of the book to share with some of my favorite bloggers. I asked each one to write an article about one of the new character classes:

* Critical Hits: The Avenger
* Campaign Mastery: The Barbarian
* Uncle Bear: The Bard
* Critical Ankle Bites: The Druid
* The Core Mechanic: The Invoker
* Flames Rising: The Shaman
* Stupid Ranger: The Sorcerer
* Musings of the Chatty DM: The Warden

Oh, and you can read a full-on review of Player's Handbook 2 on Game Cryer: LINK

Last week, Dan Repperger and I started a new project I'd like to tell you all about. Even though it's not 100% done, I'm really excited by its early success.

We have launched a 24-hour streaming radio station. Our goal is to cover two major demographics that podcasts don't easily reach:

1. General consumers that want quality RPG content they can play without needing to select, download, and queue specific files. You can now stream great gaming content while at work or doing chores around the house, or just looking to see "what's on."

2. We see an excellent opportunity to bridge a communication gap between consumers and publishers by offering this to retailers to play throughout the day in place of muzak. The station has just now gone live, and we've already got a short list of stores signed up for this.

As of right now, the play list is primarily material from some hand-selected podcasts. However, we have some new, original content we're actively pursuing. We're also looking to diversify, keeping our focus on gaming while giving some air time to anime, movies, comics, and such.

This is a new effort, so we're still polishing it. Several improvements are already in the works, primarily centered around the content. But if you want to see what we're doing from the ground floor, check it out at:

http://www.warpigradio.com

NOTE: If you're lucky, you might tune in while the Pathfinder episode of Atomic Array is on the air.

I've been trying to get this off the ground since June 2008, and am just... I'm excited! Having Dan as a partner is also exciting. I've relied on his advice while launching Atomic Array and I'm a big fan of his podcast, Fear the Boot.

I'd like to stress one thing: retailers. While there are a couple stores playing War Pig (eight signed up this week), we'd like to add a couple hundred. Want to help bring War Pig to more gamers? Ask your local retailer to consider playing it in the store!

What's more, Dan created a widget so that you can add a War Pig player to any website. I created a video that explains how to set it up. Feel free to spread the disease little piglets...

... and by that I mean, feel free to syndicate War Pig to any and every website and blog you can find.

Paizo.com, maybe? Erik? Vic?
