I am getting ready to play it with my 7-year old (as long as she embraces it), and I do not necessarily see any moral issues with it. All depends on how you present it to the child. After all, this is just a game...

Yep, that was my reasoning. Thanks guys!

Just expanding this question. When Seoni uses her ability to roll arcane die for the combat check, is the check (i) just 1d12 + 1d6, or (ii) 1d12 + 1d6 + 2 due to arcane trait? I have been including +2 in my check. Would it be correct?

Those two are probably at least 20 a pop now, as old as they are. Can't say for sure though, eBay doesn't want to load for me.

I have bought both on ebay for something like 25 (for both) last week, and I considered it a deal?:). I would say 15 each should be the target.

This barrier seems to be tricky. In powers, it says "if defeated, add 1d4 random weapons from the box to your hand. I undefeated, you may banish this barrier".

Since it does not say so, I presume that upon defeating this barrier, a character will throw a dice, pick a few weapons from the box, and then... shuffle the card back in the location deck? I presume, this would be the normal handling of a barrier; but, isn't it a bit of a cheat in the game? You can have a character with decent Disable (say, Merisiel) rummage through the weapons box over several turns, collect all the magic weapons from the box, and then divide the plunder after the end of the scenario (not even necessarily winning it...)

Am I missing something about this Large Chest?

If you defeat it, you banish it, just like any other bane.

Thanks for the clarification. I got totally confused by this card for some reason...

Yes, you can use it on your own character. You can choose yourself. There are cards that instruct you to choose "another character" or "another character at your location". In those cases, you can't choose yourself. But Potion of Glibness has no such restriction, so you are free to choose yourself.

Also, just a lil additional clarification.

When a card says "Choose a character at your location," you can also choose your character, as your character is at your character's location.

Thanks to both of you. Very clear now.

Good day All!

I thought this would be a common question, but could not find the answer on the forum. So, this is my first post, and potentially pretty dumb one.

The power of Potion of Glibness suggests that upon banishing the card I would need to choose a character who succeeds at a check. Can my character (Merisiel) use it on herself?

The card does not specify that the hero who has this potion becomes an ineligible character, but still something bothers me about this "choose" word. Any advice?
