So does Missile shield work against a Pinpoint targeting attack?

Pinpoint targeting: As a standard action, make a single ranged attack. The target does not gain any armor, natural armor, or shield bonuses to it's Armor Class. You do not gain the benefit of this feat if you move this round. So you can make the argument that logically if the shield doesn't count towards AC, the shield shouldn't be able to be used to block the ranged attack.

On the other hand Missile Shield states: You must be using a light, heavy, or tower shield to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with an attack from a ranged weapon (not including spell effects, natural attacks, or massive ranged weapons), you may deflect it so that you take no damage, as if you had the Deflect Arrows feat. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.

SO, just looking if anybody has a definite ruling on this or if it'll be left up to the DM's discretion.
