I feel like there should be a second vote meter for priority on new feature requests, beyond the "do I want this" measurement that the votes currently stand for.

Depending on how much traffic that site sees, I'm not sure if I want to see every idea created relayed through the @GoblinworksInc Twitter account. For now it's relatively useful to get people onto the site though.

You're apparently reading my mind because that post tracker and the map you mentioned in another thread are two ideas I started looking into myself.

I was one person that said I don't like the planned capture mechanic, but I also admit I can't think of a better idea off the top of my head. Ideally something less reliant on raw numbers?

I'm not fond of the simplistic mechanics for capturing towers (and will push for their proper replacements until they arrive) but I appreciate that there will be focused PVP objectives available from day one.

I *want* to see the Bard and Paladin first (in that order) because those are the two classes that I want to play, but I'm guessing they take more effort than the Barbarian and Sorcerer.

So I'm still catching up; could someone explain (or just link the relevant blog post) the difference between a Point of Interest and an Outpost? I get that settlements are the player-run towns but didn't know there was a distinction for smaller sites.

And for what it's worth, I'm perfectly fine with PoI as the term, but I suppose something like holding, steading, or station would work too.

Hi there!

I'm usually a lurker in most communities I've ever been a part of and this one is no exception. Though I was a backer for both Kickstarters, I didn't pay much attention to the actual progress on the game before a few weeks ago. I've slowly been catching up on all the threads here since then.

As of yet I haven't settled on what kind of character I want to play so I'm unaffiliated for now. I've had alt-itis in nearly every MMO I've played before so I want to make sure I come up with a character I can stick with this time. I initially had my mind set on a dwarven paladin so somewhere like Forgeholm or Ozem's Vigil seemed appealing, but I also think a character more oriented toward managing markets as part of a widespread merchant guild or serving with an independent mercenary company could be a lot of fun too. I just can't decide!

I'll admit that I was one of those dragging my feet and this finally made me get my act together and get my account hooked up.

Now I need to find a company to join, I suppose...
