Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

I am sorry to have to do this, but I will be pulling out of this game. I'm starting a new semester at school and I'm taking 20 credit hours, and I fear with too many games I'll be too distracted to focus on school. I'm sorry to do this so suddenly and leave a gap, but my schooling is more important. I wish all of you the best of luck!

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

My apologies, I've been very busy of late. I'll hopefully get Drelsh properly leveled and such. And yes I'll be going cleric to keep things simple.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

I believe I'll stick with cleric. Could I possible use a none-core god, as long as it's still Paizo? Like Milani or something?

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Hmm, if we already have a cleric and a druid...perhaps Drelsh could go inquisitor? Not one of the normal ones, but hmm...

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh sits, chin rested on his folded hands. Rejoin? No, I'm far too old to be running around with the army again. Drelsh sits, unmoving.

Long shot question but will the battlemage training grant increased armor/weapon proficiencies or a reduction in spell failure chances in armor?

That would be a magus good sir.

DM wrote:
Drelsh, please add a stat line to your profile sheet like the other characters.

Done.

DM wrote:
Also, I liked your map, but am unable to change colors/textures, draw lines, etc on a new map...

That's because I created the map. If you sign in and create your own you have power over it. But yes, it is slightly limited. If you have complicated terrain Google docs can serve you better. I use Dungeongrid for simple maps because it requires very little effort.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh stands at attention (as much as his leg lets him) and recounts their entire journey from start to finish. He's brutally honest about his own mistake in searching the merchant's wagon, but he doesn't mention the friendly fire incident.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

"We're gonna tell her exactly what we heard."

He also offers your group two weapons for your efforts: a +2 magical dagger and a masterwork spear!

*Spits out coffee everywhere*

Holy crap, that's worth 8000gp. We should sell that.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh thanks the bartender for the generosity, then lets the others know they're off duty and can enjoy themselves. "Drink, but don't be foolish. Remember you're needed in the morning." He warns them. He takes a smaller cup of the ale, sipping it and reading during the festivities.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh rubs at his leg with a scowl. "Damn things got my leg locking up. I'm alright though."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Crit Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Wielding a weapon in two hands does 1-1/2 str modifier in damage.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Drelsh shakes off the effect, then stabs at the cockatrice again.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh grits his teeth as his leg locks up. Damn thing. He stabs forwards again.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

And then he steps around to help provide flanking.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Done. I've also put the map link in my header for easy access.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

I've created a map to help GM &rew. I wasn't sure where the rest of the party was positioned so I put them moderately close to the fire, the dwarf brothers close and Lambert isolated. Map.

Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Drelsh grunts in pain, then yells out "Up at at 'em, we're under attack!" He grabs his own shortspear and stabs at the creature.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Well it's one thing to rap him on the leg to get him to stand up strait, this was me directly addressing him and then hitting him on the head. Guess I just expect most people react to some degree to violence lol

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Man, hit him on the head and I got nothing? That is a stern position.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh leans back, seeming satisfied. "So it was simply idiocy on your part. That's all I needed to know." He sharply raps Lambert over the head with his quarterstaff. "Do it again and I'll drag you back, mistake or not."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh stares at him in silence for another moment. "I suggest you start talking boy. This is your chance to explain yourself. Otherwise I'm going to charge you with attacking your comrades and bring you back in chains to await the king's justice. I wouldn't see treason as far fetched. So, right now you have the chance, why exactly did you deem to knock half of your comrades out?"

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Once Delora is healed Drelsh stands, limping his way over to Lambert. He stands next to him for a moment, staring at him. "So. What exactly happened back there?"

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh pokes the snake again through the spine, making sure it's dead. Then he turns to Delora. "Hold still girl."

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Ah, you read the rules as saying I have to counterspell when he begins his spell as opposed to any point during his spell. Well I disagree with you, but I won't question your judgement.

Round 1 Action

Drelsh scowls in fury at the friendly fire. "Think boy!" He ignores the pain in his leg and steps forward, stabbing with this spear.

Damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Actually, I can. Since sleep is a full round action to cast and counterspelling is a standard action regardless of the spell, I can hold a standard action on my turn until his spell is supposed to go off. That is one of the risks of casting full-round action spells. They are easy to counterspell.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

If I saw him preparing to cast sleep, is there any chance I could counterspell?

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Cmon dice gods, we're underpowered so we need your luck! Cmon Desna!

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Sleep is a full round action to cast. Sorry to burst your bubble :(

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

The stone sentinel speaks. "Well at least there's some good news. I think I found somebody grumpier than me." Drelsh keeps a strait face, but there's a laughter in his eyes that shows it's dry humor.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Same watches.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

WHY WOULD YOU DRY FIRE A BOW? DON'T DO THAT.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Congratulations. You've been demoted from Bryn to Drelsh.

Drelsh mostly ignores Meldar after the initial conversation, focusing on getting back to Daggermark quickly and in one piece.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Twould be painful both in character and out. Fairy dust away master &rew.

But seriously, he was acting suspicious as hell.

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

"I have seen his innocence with my own eyes and harbor no ill will towards the man, although I do think him a fool for being so secretive of his goods. If he is willing I would apologize for my suspicions and be willing to travel with him."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh walks outside and to his pleasure the horses are already prepared to march. "Good man Bryn. Let's get moving."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh nods. "We appreciate the understanding."

~~~~~
"You don't apologize for anything. That was on my orders and I'll take the responsibility for it. You only did as I commanded."
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh walks out at a quick limp, standing in front of his men. "The merchant's who own this wagon gave us reason to believe they were smuggling something illegal. Since they made clear their intentions to bring said wagon into our jurisdiction I thought it prudent to have the wagon searched. You'll find nothing stolen or broken amongst their goods, and luckily our suspicions were not confirmed so we shall bother these merchants no longer."
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
We aren't going to take the wagon apart, just glance under for a moment.
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh watches them go, his suspicions only rising. When Bryn mentions going out to check Drelsh puts a hand on his shoulder, giving a slight nod and whispering in his ear. "I'll watch the stairs. Make it quick."
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh works his sore tooth around. Lad's got a silver tongue. Sometimes I forget working in the militia is different from the army. He still doesn't apologize, just holds his tongue and waits to see their reaction.
Drelsh is being rather rude about it, but I still don't intend to escort them without looking in their wagon. They've been way too protective and secretive of their cargo and it's making my bones itch.
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh folds his arms stubbornly. "If you prefer us to see it in the morning it doesn't make a difference to me, but either we see what you're hauling or you can make the trek yourself. And I don't trust you becomes I'm a grumpy old fart who's too stubborn to care what you think of me. I was just going to throw back the tarp and take a quick glance but now I'm thinking we should go through everything. Don't worry, we'll help you repack."
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh stares the man down for a moment as the others all try to politely ask what goods they are escorting. Then he puts a swift end to it. "So, we'll go out right now to see what it is we are guarding and then we'll leave first thing tomorrow." His voice doesn't suggest any leeway given on actually seeing what is in their caravan.
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh shakes the man's hand and listens to him quietly.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
He nods after a moment of thought. "We could certainly do that, we are heading strait to Daggermark."
Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5
Drelsh gives the man a grateful nod.
~~~~~

Drelsh enjoys his meal slowly, wiping his mouth when Redbeard returns. "We appreciate the hospitality as well as the warm meal, so we won't be bothering you too much longer. We are just looking for any general disturbances for the road, any news or anything out of the ordinary."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

"We are militia from Daggermark to learn and report about the road conditions as well as any news. And it appears from all the metal walking around you might have some news."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Drelsh chews his bread slowly. "Only another few hours. And you're right, on the back back they're be less sightseeing and more moving."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Sorry for the absence.

Drelsh approves of the lunch and bow idea. "I know very well the effectiveness of a good arrow." He says, tapping his leg.

As Mike orders wine Drelsh raps his quarterstaff on the ground. "I don't believe I relieved you of duty yet. You can order one but so help me if I see you open it."

Male Tiefling Magus/Rogue 5

Mike-Drelsh-Aldras

Drelsh sits quietly by the fire, enjoying the others conversations. He gives Lambert a glance. He makes me look friendly.

Appearance:[spoiler]Breeze is a small grey and black striped Catfolk. She's a cute little thing, with eyes that are larger than what seems normal for her head. She keeps her fur groomed fastidiously. She has a nervous tic of licking the black of her wrists, and top of her head and ears while seemingly not noticing. When she's happy, she has an audible purr, which of course she keeps to herself when sneaking around. She wears dark blacks and greys, to blend in with her fur and the darkness/shadows.

BackstoryBreeze wasn’t born in Korvosa, but from an early age she always wanted to relocate there. She spent her entire savings and hopped a caravan to the city. Her original plan was to get into the Acadame, as she has a bit of latent magical talent. She was never accepted to the school however, so she did what she needed to survive in the city. Like a lot of the ruffians in the town, she fell in with Lamm and his ‘children.’ She hated the man, but had to admit that he taught her a great deal and developed her other talents, that for thievery.

She eventually went her own way, not being able to take the beatings that accompanied his lessons any longer. The trouble began when she received a missive that one of her relatives was also heading to the city to seek out his fortune. She waited and waited on her nephew but he never arrived , much to her dismay. That happens about three months ago, and she’s searched the city to her best ability with no answers.

During that time, Breeze heard that a group had shut down Lamm’s operations and put him down for good. That certainly didn’t hurt her feelings. Perhaps she could locate this group and get them to help her search for her nephew. She had accumulated a quite a stash of gold to help sweeten the package.
