Draylin Thul's page

Draylin looks around the room, suppressing a sigh. This place was downright depressing, and they didn't even really know what they were looking for here. Still, Draylin knew that it was important, so he set his mind to the task.

He wasn't skilled with Computers or Mechanics, so he closed his eyes, concentrating on his connection to the Force, and attempting to see if he could sense anything about the area.

Use the Force: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Draylin nods at Irina, face tight. This place...it was giving him all sorts of mixed feelings. Here was the history of the Jedi...but such terrible things had happened here.
"Thel, get the layout of this place on your datapad. We'll probably be looking for archives or vaults or something of that nature. You find us a way and I'll lead us there with Temil. Kon, be on the lookout...I've got a bad feeling about this."

Draylin unclipped his lightsaber from his belt, wanting to be ready in case they faced any foes inside, then made his way into the temple.

Draylin moves over to Thel, putting a comforting hand on the young man's shoulder.
"Thel, don't worry, my friend. You won't have to use a blaster if you aren't comfortable with it. No one is going to force you. I'll do everything I can to make sure you're safe. You did great last time; you stayed quiet and you were getting us intel. You can just keep doing that, okay? Just make sure to be careful and not get too far away from us. I do think that Joran has a point...we might want to get you some sort of weapon to defend yourself with, or have you start practicing a martial art. That's probably a good idea, but we can work on it slowly. Does that sound okay?"

Draylin was definitely down. He had just been in his first real combat...he had just fought and hurt and killed for the first time. He knew that he would have to wrestle with-

An almost childlike excitement bubbles up in Draylin and he excitedly goes to shake Han Solo's hand.

It's a real honor to meet you, sir! I'm Draylin Thul. My father, Istian, talked a lot about you and Chewbacca and the Falcon when I was growing up. She's...quite a ship, isn't she?"

Draylin is moving as he talks, not wanting to hold up the group.

Don't think it's annoying at all, really. I myself am looking forward to some good RP with Thel about dealing with what we've all just gone through as that's some pretty heavy stuff for a teenager.

Draylin looked askance. He hadn’t really processed everything that had happened yet, but he knew that when he had time to decompress, Draylin would have to come to grips with the knowledge that he had just taken a life for the first time.

He did not have that luxury now. He simply listened to their new orders then excused himself to ready his supplies.

Draylin travels light; other than what he has, he simply packs a few spare sets of clothes. Then he makes for the hangar.

Draylin, already in the temple, will look around for anything out of the ordinary.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Draylin wouldn't be opposed to a frag grenade, but everything else is sort of meh for him.

Somewhat uncomfortable with Ean and Joran's actions, but not quite knowing what to do about it, Draylin makes his way inside the temple, searching for whatever the Reborn were looking for.

Draylin does not strip their armor, but he does remove all of the weapons and other equipment. Upon finding the datapad, he grunts, then turns and looks for Thel.
"Thel! Got something for you. Think you can crack into this sucker?" Draylin asks, holding the datapad aloft.

Draylin grimaces, about to say that Master Skywalker would never do such a thing...but as he opened his mouth, he caught the look from Ean, so he decided to busy himself doing something else.

As Master Skywalker suggested, Draylin examined the gear of their defeated foes.

Draylin shakes his head, brought out of his distraction by Temil and Kon Laan. He moves to do as the Kel Dor suggested, removing weapons from the Stormtrooper.
"Anyone have some binder cuffs?"

Draylin spins in the direction of the explosion, utterly surprised. Looking around and seeing no immediate threats, however, he deactivates his lightsaber and turns to his companions.
"What in blazes was that?"

For a moment, Draylin is nearly distracted by the blaster bolt passing mere inches from his body. However, he had felt no threat, and Joran’s aim is true, felling his foe. Draylin turns his attention to the one facing Temil. Irina was doing a fine job of harassing the Reborn, and Draylin leaped into action. Summoning the Force to bolster him, he made an incredible jump, flipping over Temil and the Reborn, twisting in midair to land facing towards them. As he landed, he struck in a powerful two handed blow, hoping to catch the Reborn by surprise.

Move: flank bad guy, flip is just flavor. If I wouldn’t have enough movement and need to roll acrobatics let me know. Swift: Battle Strike. Standard: Attack
Battle Strike: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Damage: 2d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 1) + (1) + 8 = 16

Yikes! These guys are NOT screwing around!

Draylin lashes out with his lightsaber at one of the enemies in front of him, hoping to drop (or at least damage) them before they can work in concert against him;

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (1, 6) + 8 = 15

As he does so, Draylin exposes himself to his other foe. He is new to this, and seeing vulnerabilities in his method of attack even as he successfully strikes. As Draylin retracts his attack, he twists his wrists, snapping his blade downward to parry the thrust that will surely pierce him otherwise.

Use the Force- Parry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Draylin sees the bolt flashing towards him and senses it's about to catch him center mass. Out of position from his charge attack, he desperately swings around his lightsaber, attempting to bat the bolt out of the air;

Draylin I assume manages to send the bolt away, and before he can follow up, his companions have brought his enemies down.

Hearing the ignition of lightsabers from with the temple, he will call out to his companions.
"They're coming! Don't let them get close; I'll hold them off!"

Draylin moves to stand directly in front of the entrance to the Temple, though he remains four meters away from the actual entrance...he wants whoever is inside to have to come to him. He concentrates, centering himself. This will be his first time facing another lightsaber-wielder with deadly consequences, but the Force is his ally; Draylin trusts to it, losing himself in it's eddies.

Ready Action; attack an enemy that moves to within melee range.

Charge Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
With a snap-hiss, Draylin's blue lightsaber ignites. The young Jedi rushes out of the trees, moving towards the lone Stormtrooper and attacking with his lightsaber. His move is not particularly graceful; he's not going for finesse, but efficiency.
Damage: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (2, 6) + 8 = 16

Doing that as well as the other action if possible :p

Based on what DM Rag said I'd like to instead use my Surprise Round action to Ready a Charge; directed at the Imperials that move, when they complete their move action

Draylin moves into position, waiting for the ranged attacks to go off. When they do, presuming the Stormtroopers move as predicted, he will move and attack one of the ones that does not move to investigate.

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Ouch...
Lightsaber Attack (2H): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 8) + 8 = 20

"Sithspawn", Draylin whispered again. He would bet his last credit there were Force-users in there. Urgently, he turned to Joran and Ean.
"Whatever they're looking for there is going to be bad. We have to incapacitate the Stormtroopers quickly so we can bring our full might to bear against whoever's inside...I have the feeling they're not going to go down easy."

Draylin looks over at Thel.
"Well, you should stay behind cover. Use your datapad, see if you can find any communications or anything."

Draylin shakes his head.
”They may be monitoring long-range communications. If we can capture them alive, we should, but Master Skywalker said he trusts our judgment. I say we strike. Ean, Joran, you two have the most experience. What’s our play?”

Draylin smiles patiently before chiming in. He knew a teachable moment when he saw one.
”I don’t think there’s any scenario where talking to some splinter-group Stormtroopers who’ve infiltrated the planet of the Jedi ends well. I do know what you’re saying about the climate. I hear you. But remember, Irina, you’re not bound to just your physical senses. Reach out with your feelings...let the Force flow through you, and you’ll know what to do.”

Draylin Searches his Feelings- will speaking to the Stormtroopers have immediate positive or negative reprecussions?

Assuming Thel takes Starship Designer and Tech Specialist we’ll need every last credit (and more) for ship modifications.

”Sithspawn”, Draylin curses softly. He opens the comlink to the GUTF’s secure channel.
”Guys, we’ve got company. Imperial company. Ean, can you get eyes on them and try to figure out what in blazes is going on?”

Draylin smirks over at Temil.
"Hey, the only way I've gotten better is by letting Master Katarn and Master Horn embarrass me over and over again...what kind of friend would I be if I didn't pay it forward? Besides, I'll bake you cookies to celebrate your first real sparring. Tell me that's not a great deal, I dare you!"

Draylin nods at Irina.
"Let's say ten meters ahead, yeah? If you hear a lightsaber activate, maybe just assume there's trouble."

Draylin grins, happy that Thel has pushed through his unease.

Unless any of the others have a different tactical plan, Draylin walks at the front of the group. He's not stealthy, but he plans on being the first to charge in if danger rears it's ugly head.

Draylin puts a comforting hand on Thel's shoulder.
"You can stay there if you want, Thel. That's okay. But we might run into some trouble that we need you for...no one's as good with tech as you are. We'll make sure you're safe either way though, pal."

Draylin removes his lightsaber from his belt clip but does not ignite it. After taking a look around and noting the location of the temple, he shrugs.
"Looks like it's a bit of a walk. Shall we?"

Draylin is a barely contained bundle of energy. He can't really sit still; his leg is fidgeting and he has a nervous but excited smile.
"So," he begins conversationally, "What's the plan? Anyone particularly sneaky and feel like taking a look first?"

DM, because we've worked together before, I'm going to assume that we all have comlinks and know each other's frequencies, yes?

”I know, right? Way better than a morning jog!”
Despite the quip, Draylin was all business, especially when Joran called for a bit of order. He’d come to respect Joran as a soldier and trusted in his tactical acumen.

”I should probably only fly if you want us to maybe crash,” Draylin said. He wasn’t being flippant; whatever Jedi ability let them excel as pilots was yet to manifest in the young man.

Draylin fights to keep his excitement under control.

I just got a mission from Master Skywalker! he thinks to himself, in much the same way one might think It's my birthday!

Draylin bows briefly.
"At once, Master Skywalker!"

Assuming everyone in the group agrees, Draylin will make for the hangar immediately.

Stat-line up.

Initial thoughts for some Bonds (tell me what you think, other players!)-

• Kon Laan- Kon Laan has the makings of a great Jedi, but perhaps not a great warrior. My protection will help ensure they have time to grow.
• Joran Callos- I respect Joran as a soldier. I know he'll have my back when I need him.
• Thel Mereel- Thel is shy but sweet. I'll bring him out of his shell!
• Irina Kayzeld- Irina's great but she's "on" all the time. I have to help her understand that you need to unwind sometimes...preferably with a so-bad-it's-good HoloDrama.
• Ean Flennic- I don't trust the Empire, and I don't trust Ean. My father told me what the Empire put him through, so Ean will have to prove himself to win my trust.
• Temil Androti- I know I can rely on Temil to have good judgment in any situation. I trust their decisions.
