Draahzin attends the meeting dressed in his salvaged scale armor and listens to the debates. Hearing the girl has Dragon Blood he sees the child with more interest than just a tasty meal. Dragons after all are sacred beasts to the Kobolds and thus someone descended of the dragon is to be respected.

Draazhin gives a bow when the elder addresses him and says, "Draahzin Greyscale of the Dragon Order is at your service great Athraaz. There is honor in defending a heir of the Dragon and I shall do my best to see to the child's safety on this journey. I shall make sure that the child is delivered to a worthy human who would best nurture the child for greatness."

Draahzin thinks to himself, 'A task such as this could bring great respect from the Dragons. Such shall be a moment of glory for our tribe. The great Dragon Gods shall give great favor by protecting one of their spawn.

Draahzin gives a grin on his face looking forward to this adventure.

I'm in and ready to go although expect my posts to be slow this week as I am currently taking my vacation.

Shadow Lodge

Draahzin was able to loot a good deal of weapons in his time. He has a weapon for every situation. He does move around in a medium load though with his equipment but as he wears medium armor anyway it does not affect him that much. Eventually he'll get himself a bigger mount as he has gone Beast Rider.

Shadow Lodge

I have updated Draahzin Greyscale's backstory to include why he's on the mission. While he does not care that much about the baby, he's been given an order by the elders and he'll carry out his duty to the tribe. He sees himself as the group's protector on this mission although he can get rather bossy at times when he believes in a proper course of action.

Shadow Lodge

I am still interested in playing the Cavalier. Having a mounted leader style character would be good for the party. In addition I have the Order of the Dragon so me tanking a target gives other PC's bonuses to hit and damage. Too bad the -4 strength really hurts me. I hate going 18 strength and gimping my character's other stats so I went 16 which became 12 strength so that's pretty horrible for a Melee character.

Shadow Lodge

I still have a Kobold Beastmaster Cavalier that I used for another All Kobold game previously. It should be rather useful in this game as well if you'll have me.

Draazhin is honorable but is also evil. He does not see himself as an equal to the rest of the party. While he will take advice and plan accordingly he does not trust Yresk to get the task done alone and him sneaking off risks the plan. Hence why he wants to get in there and get it done and he will not be told by Werpfoil to do otherwise. Obeying him would be a sign of weakness.

Shadow Lodge

Draahzin Greyscale sees that Werpfoil is not going to obey him and has an urge to move to more physical means of persuasion. But merely attacking him would be a violation of his cavalier oath and make him a "Traitor" to his people. Still yielding on this issue would be a sign of weakness and that he can not do. He would not yield to a lesser Kobold.

He looks to Werpfoil and says, "Then stay here and shiver like a rat in a hole. If you will not obey my commands then I shall get the job done myself."

With that he jostles his wolf and rides out stealthy and looking around for holes where the Mite may be hiding.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
wolf stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Draahzin Greyscale snarls and says, "I am the leader here. I got the big wolf and my great warrior might. Don't lip back to me Skoll. I do not serve under a weakling like Werpfoil nor do I take the bantering of a druid to sway my actions. I gave an order and I expect it to be obeyed. Get in there and start cleaning out those holes."

He pulls the reigns of his wolf and it growls. He gives a fearsome glare at the others and looks very angry and menacing.

Wolf Intimidation Check 1d20 ⇒ 2
Draahzin Intimidation Check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Draahzin Greyscale is Lawful Evil. It would be against his alignment to have people in his party not obey his commands. He sees himself as the superior officer in this situation. It would be a sign of weakness to change his actions and follow a lesser Kobold like Werpfoil.

Draahzin notices that Yresk Shadowscale has vanished and growls, "That fool disobeyed me. His impulsive actions could get him killed and ruin our surprise. Kobolds, sneak up and watch for holes in the ground. You see a hole, search it for mites and kill all you find. All of you sneak out first. I shall follow behind and cover the rear and cover the party against Mite attacks."

He pulls out his sword, readies his shield and points for the more stealthy folks to go ahead intending to follow behind to cover the rear as he is much less stealthy while mounted on a wolf.

Shadow Lodge

Male Kobold Cavalier (Beast Rider) [HP 12/12, AC 22, FF 19, CMD 15, Init +3 | DV 60', Spd 20' | F +4 / R +3 / W +0]

Draahzin nods to Skoll and says, "It is good you know who the leader here."

Sitting tall in his saddle he says with pride he says, "Here is my command. We shall flush the holes for Mites and face them in smaller numbers. As Glyphar and myself cannot fit in the holes I will stay outside and provide cover against any emerging Mites as well as make sure we have a venue for escape. Better we catch the ambushers first than walking straight to their lair and allow them to emerge from behind us. If their numbers become too many we shall retreat and regroup for another assault in the future."

Shadow Lodge

Male Kobold Cavalier (Beast Rider) [HP 12/12, AC 22, FF 19, CMD 15, Init +3 | DV 60', Spd 20' | F +4 / R +3 / W +0]

Draahzin Greyscale shakes his head to Yresk's suggestion, "We cannot leave you alone to do this Yresk. If you get caught we will not be able to close the distance fast enough to save your life. Werpfoil's suggestion seems like the best one. We will edge ourselves towards the tree searching for holes along the way and flush out some Mites and then retreat when their numbers get to plentiful."

Draahzin Greyscale also stays low and in cover thinks on the situation. After pondering he says "By looking at this tree I can tell that the Mites have many exit points. Just walking up to the tree is setting us up to be ambushed. I have a few ideas of what to do. We can set fire to the tree thus forcing the Mites to leave their holes in order to protect their home. This might burn the statue as well though if it is stored in that tree. Another option would be for someone to act as a decoy to draw out the mites and get surrounded. Once the Mites have emerged though we can spring our own trap and surround the mites. This will put one of us at risk though as they will be surrounded and it will be have to be someone who can weather the blows of weapons. Only myself or Sezzen could fulfill such a role. A third option would be to search for holes and clean them out of mites one by one. Kobolds are about the same height as mites so we should be able to fit into their holes although Glyphar can not."

Shadow Lodge

Draahzin nods to Werpfoil for finishing off the mite. He then addresses the group and says "Glyphar has found the trail these foul mites have taken. Their trail will lead us back to where those bastards hide. There we may find our lost statue and complete the task we have been given."

Draahzin Greyscale nods to Krik and says, "Yes, that is a good point Krik. We spent enough time dealing with this fool. Finish the Mite off and we shall track them back to their holes."

He takes some of the mites blood and puts it to Glyphar's noise and says, "Track Glyphar."

Tracking Roll for Glyphar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

His wolf picks up the scent and Draahzin rides on the wolf as it follows the scent he gave him to find more of these creatures.

Draahzin after scouting the area rides back to rejoin the rest of his fellows who have surrounded the hapless Mite and stabbed it. He nods approvingly to Yresk and says, "Good strike Tresk. Right under the ribs with a twist for good measure. Make use of that technique against more Mites in the future."

He looks to Skoll and says, "Yes yes, keep him alive for now. He could tell us information. But be careful, mites tell lies."

Shadow Lodge

Draahzin looks to the others and says "Mites do not travel alone. This may be a trap to draw us in. How did he fall into one of our traps when we don't live in this region? Before we shall scout the area to make sure there is no Mites hiding in the surrounding woods waiting to ambush us. We must also check if they have not dug any traps near him. Tricky bastards those Mites are."

Draahzin proceeds to ride on his wolf carefully though the woods keeping a good distance from the trapped mite. He says to Glyphar "Glyphar, Track" His wolf Glyphar then sniffs around for hidden Mites while Draahzin searches around for anything unusual.

Perception (For Drraahzin): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Survival Tracking (for Glyphar): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

I did mention that Draahzin packed some extra rations into his saddlebags. Roughly an extra days food for each person in the party. Just so you know while Draahzin is not encumbered, the wolf is as he is carrying both him and his equipment and thus carrying a medium load (The wolf is only 13 strength so it is not a powerhouse). Hence its speed is only 35 at the moment, not much faster than the average kobold. The wolf does have the Endurance feat though so can easily handle the weight.

Draahzin nods to Krik, "Then it shall be night we traveling. We rest out of sight during the day from those who might see us."

Shadow Lodge

Draahzin nods to Werpfoil and says, "Yes, yes. Kobolds see better in the dark. Daylight very bright and hurts eyes. Mites also see in the dark too though so we see each other. Maybe they are sleepy during the day and we get them by surprise when they are not awake. Also Glyphar and other beasties work better during the day. What does the rest of you say? We travel by day or by night?"

Draahzin being the most imposing character in the group mounted upon his wolf and bearing a full suit of armor takes the lead of the group. Indeed this is tactically advantageous. He certainly cannot be very stealthy mounted on a wolf and wearing a lot of armor but the size of his wolf (Medium Size) means that he is an effective screen for the rest of the party. Kobolds can use him as cover to hide their numbers thus allowing them more venues to sneak around the battlefield. He of course looks around from his good vantage point checking for dangers that may be hidden in the wilderness. He keeps control of his mount (with a ride check) and looks around (using perception).

ride: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

He is as sharp as a razor looking around for dangers that may be apparent.

At the same time his wolf Glyphar will sniff around for unusual scents and perk up if he notices anything.

Survival (Scent Tracking): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Draahzin Greyscale salutes the Chief and says, "When the Mite Chief is found we shall slay him and bring you his head Chief Sootscale. We shall accomplish our goal and restore the strength of the Sootscale Tribe."

He looks to his fellows and says in a commanding voice, "Gear up and be prepared to march! I don't want any of you slacking off! We leave within the hour to the realm of our enemy. The Mites will regret the day they crossed us!"

Draahzin awaits being given leave from the Chief before heading back to his tent and preparing Glyphar for travel and his gear for the journey. He makes sure to pack some extra provisions in his Saddlebags for the trip.

Draahzin scowls at Skoll and says to him, "There can be no talk between the Kobolds and the Mites! They have stolen our statue and thus must pay in blood for their crimes. Still, if they were strong enough to defeat the champions who came before us then they are likely too numerous to slay to the last creature on our own. We must move quickly and secure the statue and retreat with our prize before they overwhelm us with numbers."

Draahzin Greyscale gives a respectful bow to the Chief and then says, "I shall serve the Sootscale Tribe and bring fear and death to those that impede our path to the great statue of Old Sharptooth. I do not fear the mites. They are the same size as Kobolds so it will be a fair fight for mighty warriors."

He gives a slight look to his companions and then looks back to the chief and says, "My fellows among the tribe to make some good points. Directions will be needed to travel these lands and find the prize that we seek."

Draazhin Greyscale knowing beforehand that the group was meeting the chief and a sizable part of the tribe made sure to be dressed in full armor and equipment wearing his shield on his back, a metal shield that has been repainted over with the symbol of the Sootscale Tribe. At his side a scabbard with a long sword within also made of metal and sized for someone of his stature. He strides in confidently forward knowing that he is deserving of any honor that shall be bestowed upon him.

His wolf Glyphar at the moment is back at his tent and ordered to stay there as Draazhin knows that many of the tribe fear the beast he rides into battle and now was not the time for intimidation. It was now the time to show respect to the chief of the tribe and his fellow kobolds.

He looks boldly to the chief and stands at attention, showing uncommon discipline in his posture and awaits the words of the chief. Indeed if the chief has a mission he has a duty to serve the tribe and make sure that mission is accomplished.

Indeed the Precise strike feat is probably the best one to take as a 1st level Cavalier, especially since we as Kobolds are not big damage dealers unless we do precision damage. Of course eventually as a beast rider I hope to be riding a large & strong beast of some kind in the future like a T-Rex so that should give my character some more damage dealing potential.

As for a suicide mission, Draahzin has survived those in the past and came out on top. He's pretty confident for a Kobold.

Thanks for accepting my character GM. Looking forward to playing this game.

Shadow Lodge

I am still interested in playing this game. Having a Cavalier with a mount could definitely add some melee support for the group.

Shadow Lodge

Anyhow I have added a background to my character sheet. It might be good to have some people who can do Flanking Attacks. My Teamwork Feat is Precise Strike which with my Tactician ability I can grant to the party allowing everyone to do +1d6 damage when flanking with an ally. I took the Order of the Dragon to provide various bonuses to the party in combat. I can see a lot of people going caster for the simple reason that Kobolds have Low Strength and Constitution.

Shadow Lodge

As the team needs some muscle, I created a Kobold Cavalier (Beast Rider) character. Of course since Kobolds get pathetic physical stats he's not too strong but he's got a large wolf backing him up as his pal and has leadership abilities that make his allies more efficient in combat. I shall create a background later for him.

Since he's strong (For a Kobold), I maxed out his racial height and weight. Eventually I hope to be able to be able to ride around on a Dinosaur of some kind at later levels.

Shadow Lodge

Hello GM, I am interested in the way of the wicked game. I have created a Half-Orc Transmutation Wizard (With the Shapechanger Subschool). Basically making a melee-oriented wizard who uses buffing spells to make himself stronger and tougher in combat. His Stats and Background are on the attached sheet. Suffice to say he's a child of a human slave of an orc tribe raise by orcs, taken under the wing of a shaman and trained in magic and then joined a pirate crew with orcs seeking to conquer new lands across the sea and ended up in Talongarde only to be captured and charged with Piracy.
