Shadow Lodge

I’ve determined that this campaign will take my group at least 5 years to finish. I have at least two players that like to GM every so often. I debating letting them run not only their character but also one of the companions so they could step in and GM their companions adventure. This way I can get a break every so often without ruining the our Kingmaker progression.

Gunslingers with electric damage weapons make many encounters very easy, especially at higher levels. Character built around teleportation and summoning are going to have problems in the final book.

I just had a player make the same realization about summoning and was quite pissed. For good reason too. His character build is focused around summoning. I'm just going to allow creatures to be summoned, otherwise the character he's been playing for a year and a half and having fun with will be useless. He was also looking for to having his own demiplane to rest in. I might let that one slide too, since the odds of him playing a character like this again are slim. If I do, I will just amend plane shift's casting time to 1 minute while in the Silver Mount so it can't be done in combat.

You have to extract the map from the adventure PDF itself and not the interactive maps pdfs. They aren't completely player friendly. Specifically some secret doors on IG maps extract as gaps in the walls.

If technology is option. I'm running a game with five players and two of them are remote. We use D20pro for mapping. I loaded the map into D20pro and created a fog of war for each hex. At game sessions I run the GM server and we plug a single laptop into a large TV so everyone at the table can see the map. I did this so all my players wouldn't be buried behind laptops. It was pretty inexpensive since we had all the gear.

We finished Rise of the Runelord Anniversary Edition last week. I was a player. We're making characters for Kingmaker tomorrow. I'm GMing. It's going to be interesting. I have six players, three are remote. I've been slowly putting everything into D20pro.

In the Kingdom Building rules from Ultimate Campaign I can't seem to find how long it takes for a building to be completed. Can anyone direct me to where that information might be? I know there is time listed in the Downtime chapter, but how long does a building take to be completed when using build points?
