I'm excited, this will totally introduce a lot of people to Golarion.

I mean, maybe, but it's pretty self-contained in its location, which is probably why they chose to convert it.

I think a good GM is someone who is able to improvise when necessary, and to be able to tell a memorable story. They also understand balance, both in encounter difficulty and the balance between a GM and their players.

Hi all, my name's Ducky. I've been playing Pathfinder since 2014, and I played 3.5E before that in college. I'm currently on hiatus from GMing Age of Ashes, as my group switched back to a Blades in the Dark campaign that one of my players has been running, but will be getting back into running 2e again soon. I like both crunchy and fluffy games, though I admittedly have a bit harder of a time conceptually with more rules light systems, just because I'm not the best at improv.

Thanks so much Top. Exactly what I needed. And yeah Baredyn, I don't mind the six month few or buying each book separately but just not looking to do it together. Maybe I'll pick up some data packs if they have a sale.

Did you give up on HLO because of the code thing? It's a simple couple of clicks to get the same kind of stat lock, as seen on this profile.

No, I just didn't like the interface as much as HLC. I also don't want to spend $13 for every new Lost Omens book when I already spent $35 for the hardbacks. Like, I get it, they need to make money, I'm just not really interested in the product anymore.

I might get back to using it at some point if I'm playing more from a player's side

if you make a post in the Gameplay thread this will allow the lodge to show up in your Campaigns. Otherwise recruitment for games will be found underneath the recruitment tab.

Awesome, thank you. I'll make a post in Gameplay to have it show up in my campaigns. It's been like four years since I've done a PBP game.

I'm interested in joining a PFS P2E scenario or quest. I'm experienced with PFS and P2E, but not together. Currently the closest active game store that does PFS does it at the same time as my home game, so I'm looking to get into PBP games.

Also, I used to use Hero Lab for PF1 which was able to output the nice bb code for characters, but I gave up on Hero Lab Online for 2e. Does anyone have a good resource to generate that to fill out a pbp character sheet?

Not sure if this is the right tab to post this, so I apologize if it isn't. Not new to PFS or p2E but new to combining them. Currently running a 2E home game of AoA, looking to join a pbp game as a player. Is recruitment still done in gameplay (I saw that mentioned in the Flaxseed one). Just trying to get my bearings about where I need to look to join a game.

There is the Laborer background, which gives you the Robust Recovery Skill Feat, which has as a Pre-requisite Expert in Medicine. So if your GM rules that you have to have the skill to qualify for the skill feat, you can argue that this means you can have Expert in Medicine.

This is absolutely not how ignoring pre-reqs work. You sound like the guy who argued that because he took a Shoanti ancestry trait using Adopted in 1e, which required you to be 8+ feet, he could have an 8 foot halfling. If something gives you a feat or ability without needing the pre-req ability, you don't also gain the pre-req.

So, a good friend of mine has a very good rundown and link list for how to play a Play-by-Post game

http://paizo.com/people/GMTheFox

Please review both links there under "Guides" and his Expectations, because they will be my expectations as well. The links are suggestions on formatting to be consistent.

This is where we will discuss the rules for the play-by-post game.
