Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Cool, thanks! :-)

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Indeed. Whatever format is easiest for you will likely work for me.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Thanks, everyone for the game. :-)

Thanks, P33J, for running it for us.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

If nobody declared picking up the Periapt, Decka will run back, get it, and put it on Yakima.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Seeing all of his companions succumb to the enemy, Decka continues his assault.
- Swift Action: First, a 5-foot-step to avoid cover penalties.
- Full Round Action:
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13, Arrow, Holy Balm: 1d8 + 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (2, 2) + 2 = 10
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24, Arrow, Holy Balm: 1d8 + 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + (3, 4) + 2 = 16

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25, Arrow, Holy Balm: 1d8 + 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + (1, 3) + 2 = 8
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24, Arrow, Holy Balm: 1d8 + 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + (4, 1) + 2 = 8

"Fall! Fall! Fall!"

And 5-foot-step...

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Thanks. I'm guessing only the first arrow will hit. So:

Holy Balm: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

7 extra damage, please.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Shooting at whichever enemy seems more hurt. Then 5-foot-step.

Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

"Fall, abomination!"

I don't have the ACG. How much extra does Holy Weapon Balm add to damage?

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Decka uses this turn to apply the balm to 10 arrows.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
"Know eternal rest!"
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

And 5-foot-step...

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Shall we proceed, then? Is Yakima taking the offered splash weapons?

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Decka offers all 3 of his vials of Holy Water to Yakima.

"Use these as you will."

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"I also have three vials of Holy Water that may be shared."

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Not my intention to start a rules lawyer session. Just pointing out that we can't know what you're using: the alternate racial trait prehensile tail or the racial feat grasping tail--each of which let you do slightly different things. As you say, leave it up to the GM. Regardless, you may wish to update your character profile.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

ROFL!

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Hey Yakima. You don't have your feats or traits listed. But, if you only have prehensile tail, you cannot ready and action with your tail, you can only obtain an item for use. You can't even carry it.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Hearing the ladies' evil banter, Decka reacts:

- Free Action: "By the light of the Flower of the Dawn, know eternal rest!"

- Full Attack (sending both arrows into the same target, outlined in red):
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15, Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

- Swift Action: 5 foot step

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"Pathfinders, shall we continue through here?" Decka asks.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

While the others heal their wounds, Decka will take 20 (for a perception of 30) t search the room.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Second verse, same as the first...
Again, outlining my target(s) in red.

Flurry with blunt arrows:
Flurry of Blows: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 , Blunt Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attempt to confirm Crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 , x3 Crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 5) + 4 = 17

Onto the next target:
Flurry of Blows: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 , Blunt Arrow: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Having faced skeletons before, Decka uses his blunt arrows in a flurry of blows (Zen Archer):
(I've highlighted my target in red.)
Flurry + Wis + Point Blank = 8
Flurry of Blows: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 , 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Flurry of Blows: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 , 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

I suppose I should roll the knowledge check:
Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Keep left/north. Somebody posted earlier that we should do the "outer" parts first.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"If it is meant to be used thusly, I would not eat it. It has been in here with those bugs for an unknown amount of time. I do not believe that I would enjoy flavoring my hardtack with vermin excrement."

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Who would like to hold onto the Dust of Dryness?

Shall we proceed North towards the eerie glow?

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

While his compatriots tend to their burns, Decka moves into the room and takes 20 to search the boats.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

No worries. :-)

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Yakima wrote:
7 points fire splash (Ref DC16 for half to Swarm, Yakima, Decka and Dvalin)

Not sure why you're including me in the splash? I moved 5 feet into the hallway at the end of my turn, and I'm first in initiative.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

- Move Action: Draw an acid flask
- Standard Action: Toss!
Ranged Touch+Dex+Point Blank+BAB: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 + 1 + 2 = 23
Acid Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 , So 4 points because it's a swarm.
- Swift Action: 5-foot-step back

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"What do you eat, Sad? I prefer humble victuals, myself. Would you like a trail ration?" Decka proffers something that looks like a cross between a biscuit and a cracker. "This is called hardtack."

The hall way is 10 feet wide, you'll avoid it just fine. It's more of a nuisance trap for when you're playing live.

Okie dokie.

P33J wrote:
you see that there are two woven reed boats sit end-to-end in this chamber, covered in a thick layer of dust

"Looks like nobody has been here in a very long time. Yakima, I don't understand why there are boats in the desert." Just havin fun. :-)

P33J wrote:
I've got a cardinal don't I?

Okie dokie.

P33J wrote:
You deftly avoid the traps in the hallway thanks to your high perception (2 of 3 checks).

"Pathfinders, do we want to take a moment to try to disable these traps? In case we need to make a hasty retreat..." Decka asks the party.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

I've added an arrow to the map to indicate what I think Dvalin meant.

Dvalin, going West means going through the ceremonial door. It's the only option in that direction. The other options are South and North.

I don't know who added the compass to the map, but that's incorrect. North is to the bottom of the map, given its current orientation. :-)

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"Very well. I bow to the wisdom of the group."

Standard marching order?

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"Oh! Look at this, Pathfinders. Shall we open this door right here or check out these hallways? Plus, there are those concealed doors you found in the room with the mimic! Where shall we go first?"

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

"Thank you, Sad. What's a Packminder? I thought we were Pathfinders." Just havin some fun. ;-)

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Decka moves forward a bit, "What statue?"

As his light falls upon it, "Oh. That statue!"

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Assuming one of the others finishes the mimic before Decka's turn is up, the monk will move towards Dvalin to try to help detach him from the adhesive. I don't have any solvent; it's just what Decka would do.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Common monsters can be 5+CR. It's doubtful that a mimic would be considered "common."

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

All the cool kids are doing it:

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

- Move Action: Get out from behind soft cover.
- Standard Action: Shoot Longbow: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

:-/

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Unless others in the party feel the need to maintain stealth, Decka will activate a sunrod and tie it to the end of the sash around his waist. Since we're Pathfinders, Decka will also jot a few notes about the pyramid thus far.

"Does anybody have any idea how long this place has been untouched? Obviously the traps still work. What else should we be on the lookout for?" He asks those with Knowledge skills.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Hearing Dvalin fall, Decka (literally) springs into action.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

He says to the dwarf in a concerned voice, "Are you alright?"

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 Because it never hurts to check twice...

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Since Decka cannot see in the dark, he will step a couple of squares back and await the "all clear" from his teammates.

"Please let us know if it is safe to proceed. I would not enjoy an encounter with another of those pyramid..." The Zen Archer, at a loss for words, pauses. "Things..."

Then he nocks an arrow, readying for trouble.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Ready to offer an Aid Another, if requested / required. Presumably, someone will want to check for traps first.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Survival: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Strength Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 (D'oh!)

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

No worries. :-) That's awesome! Happy birthday to him, and congrats to you! :-D

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

What the heck. It doesn't hurt anything or delay us, so I'll throw in a survival check, too: Survival: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Decka will provide an extra set of eyes, if needed: Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Fine by me.

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Sad, do you need any of my wand charges? :-)

Silver Crusade

M Human Monk (Zen Archer)/8

Happy to share wand charges with everyone in the party. :-)
