After Skorabor has left, Davlamin paces the room a little. When we fought the moneylender, we were at a disadvantage with our current gear... Saul, could you see to it these items are sold to a reliable fence. Come up with some story to award the three of us a bonus, Skorabor took many wounds in our last battle and I would like to see him in some sturdier armour. Diplomacy

Davlamin quietly moves his steed behind Skorabor and casts Shield of Faith upon the Dwarf and Guidance upon himself. Best be ready for trouble eh...

Remember, the Goblin seems to have many enemies. Perhaps the same fiends that planted the snake also tried to set up Smeed. Either way, I doubt we'll find Feldin now... Lets go report to Saul.
As far as i'm concerned, Saul's debt is paid- although you seem to know nothing of his death, the circumstantial evidence against you is compelling. Don't bother him again, and we won't pursue this further. By pursue this further, I mean i'll let Skorabor decide what happens to you...

Davlamin allows Moonchaser to take a sniff around, but is unable to communicate with his Wolf verbally...
Davlamin attempts to bring his mace to bear, while simultaneously trying to get his wolf to attack. The gnome almost falls off his mount, but manages to get a good swing in with his mace. Ride check, DC15 to let both MC and DJ attack. Failed. Attack
Davlamin channels the flow of nature to once again seal Skorabor's wounds, although they cannot fully heal the nasty damage dealt by the scimitar. Once the spell is cast, Davlamin shuffles Moonchaser into the melee, the wolf's jaws clamping only on air. CLW for Skor

Skor... No shouting until we're in a fight please. Then, oh king of bouncers- I expect you to shout and rant until your hoarse... Davlamin follows Skorabor in, riding atop Moonchaser. Just before they enter, Davlamin plaes a protective ward on the Dwarf.
By the gods Skor, i'm angry too- but lets go in via the back door, not the damn front! Davlamin hisses, showing Skor the back door behind a pile of barrels and old crates.

I've considered it, which is why I wanted to have a poke around Feldin's home- and snoop around here a little too...

Davlamin chuckles in mirth before looking for a back door and checking the rear of the building (if its accessible). I am sure you will good Dwarf.
Davlamin holds his hand up to call for a halt, sure that Skor will soon attack the door. Lets look for a back door... he whispers.
My ability to communicate with Moonchaser is part of my innate gifts, and I cannot do more than once in a day. If I continue along the path of nature I have chosen, I will be able to remedy this someday. Davlamin says with a sigh, frowning in frustration.
"Does he smell anything other than our guy and this one who stinks, perhaps the door tha was torn asunder?" Davlamin shakes his head. No such luck.
Listening in to his wolf's insights, Davlamin nods. The squatter has nothing to do with this; his scent has never interacted with Feldin. It seems that the moneylender is guilty after all- and we shall have our vengeance.
Davlamin leans down to whisper in his wolf's ear, using his innate magic to communicate with it. What do you smell my friend? Other than the squatter...
Noted- I look forward to seeing your axemanship on his skull if he is indeed guilty. Davlamin says somewhat darkly, Moonchaser growling in sympathy with the gnome's restrained anger.
Davlamin takes a deep breath to calm himself, clearly hurt by Skorabor's words. Too trusting? Nay Skorabor. Not trusting enough. This seems too obvious- what if that crime lord gentlemen who graced our doors set it up to look like Smeed kidnapped or killed Saul's employee- moneylenders are not in the habit of killing or making enemies of people who pay back their loans on time, its bad for business. This is the kind of behaviour you hear of when the loan isn't paid back. Davlamin looks his stubborn friend in the eye with a steely glare. Someone IS trying to sabotage the Gold Goblin- and what better way to do it than have us make even more enemies in Riddleport? I only ask that we check out the house first carefully- and if nothing turns up then we can pay a visit to Smeed. We have time to do both. I spent my youth agitating against these crime lords and I have no sympathy or loyalty towards them, nor any qualms about delivering natures wrath- shattering their lives and livelihoods if this Smeed has truly crossed us...
Once Saul has left, Dav puts forward his plan to the others. We don't know for sure this moneylender is involved- although it does seem likely. I suggest we head to Larur's home first of all and keep an open mind. This seems too obvious to me...
