Ok, the biggest reason I switched to D&D 5e is because I got absolutely fed up with managing a grid and all the various minutia involved in managing battles on a grid. 5e on Roll20 is RPG gaming heaven - approximate distances, much greater emphasis on theater of the mind for battles.
So, my question is, will this new version basically require a grid in the same way that the current version does?
Also, keep in mind, I know you technically don't HAVE to play Pathfinder with a grid. But, come on, we all know you pretty much need it in order to stay true to the rules and how combat works. It's really designed with a grid in mind.
