Vatale stands just over six feet tall. Garbed in a well fit chain shirt that seems to made of mithral with an armored kilt attached, a well worn quiver is slung over his back. A katana rests at his hip but in his hand he holds a massive longbow. Almost matching his height it's carved from a dense dark wood, and gently creaks with every draw. His mount stands beside him clad in chain barding.
His horse is beyond gorgeous. An andalusian, she stands 15 1/2 hands tall and weighs in at a mighty 70 stone of pure muscle. Her midnight black coat is so dark it seems to actually absorb the light that strikes it. Yet despite this in the noon sun her flanks gleam with such a brilliance that it has brought blind men to tears. Fierce in temperament, she refuses to let her mane be touched, yet despite this in its unkempt natural state it reaches a majesty other equines can only dream of. When she runs her hooves stamp out a beat that has driven great musicians mad with it's simple but glorious elegance.
Few know her name and even fewer can do justice to her mere shadow in description. Yet among all those who have seen her none use the term "horse" since she so outstrips other specimens in every respect. Typically these witnesses refer to her as "the holy one" or "the beauty". Those that do know her name almost never speak it aloud in her absence for doing so only magnifies the pain of knowing that she is not near. Her name, is Gyllir.
