I let them take the elevator down and then had it break at the bottom where they're assaulted by the children of belcorra, made for a reasonable "welcome to book 3" encounter. Also they're stuck in the swamp with bog rot until they can find a teleporter back up.

I ended up house ruling that ghost touch runes allow precision damage on ghosts at least, it doesn't solve all the problems but with a swashbuckler and a precision ranger they were getting totally destroyed by ghosts, and ghost touch allowed precision damage on ghosts in PF1E, not sure why that was changed. Not like a swashbuckler or rogue does more damage than a fighter who optimizes for damage anyway, and fighters get 100% of their damage on ghosts back with the rune.


Does anyone have any suggestions for backstory on the Majordomo? My players just fought it, and it was definitely the most brutal encounter so far (they have a swash and a precision ranger, so the immunity to precision damage was rough.) They had an extra shadow at the end and had to book it out of there.

When they make it back into the crypt after the new shadow fades, there's no real loot or information about why the shadow was there, which I think will be a bit of a letdown. Figured I'd check to see if anyone had something they were using before I started coming up with my own stuff.

There's a sidebar about killing her, and notes elsewhere that the only way to open the doors without her is to smash them open. I think the expectation is actually that the players kill her and then smash their way through the temple, rather than letting her lead them around, but the option is there.

I'm guessing they missed the folder with all the art assets in it. The map in the PDF is pretty blurry, but that's probably to keep the PDF size down. There's a high quality map in a separate folder which is quite nice.

Thank you - I definitely intended that as a question :) This is very helpful. I'm going to dig a little deeper into Foundry.

It's definitely not that hard to set up self hosting, but it's also not that expensive to just get hosting, and they handle all that for you. It will feel a lot more like using Roll20 except it actually works for pathfinder.

I switched my group over when Roll20 missed the street date, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. The PF2E module for foundry is really amazing. It's a bit more hassle to get the module prepped, but mostly just creating your own tokens. The lighting/walls can be done automatically.
