Silver Crusade

Hello all,

I couldn't find a thread anywhere addressing this so I'm sorry if this was settled already and I'm just asking again. I've been playing society for a couple years and my main character is a tattooed sorcerer with a familiar. I used to play where when delivering touch spells through the familiar, I would use any spells(including ranged ones) that were not area based(things like snowball, acid arrow).

Somewhere along the way, someone said that the deliver touch spells through familiar only applied to melee touch. I'm not sure what the reasoning for this is, as the ability states:

Deliver Touch Spells (Su): wrote:
If the master is 3rd level or higher, a familiar can deliver touch spells for him. If the master and the familiar are in contact at the time the master casts a touch spell, he can designate his familiar as the “toucher.” The familiar can then deliver the touch spell just as the master would. As usual, if the master casts another spell before the touch is delivered, the touch spell dissipates.

It doesn't specify melee touch or ranged touch as far as I can tell, so I would rule that it applies to both. The only part that might be misleading is when it says "the 'toucher,'" but right after it says deliver the touch(unspecified as to melee or range) spell as the master would.

All help is appreciated,
~Primus

Sovereign Court

So I realized this was possible, and that it cuts the price for firearms in half, which is very nice. But, it does make the weapon fragile. I was curious as to what would happen if I rolled a one though. Firearms misfire on a 1(usually), but fragile weapons also gain the broken condition on a 1. So what would end up happening? Would it gain the broken condition twice(which is impossible/would destroy the weapon?)? Is this illegal in PFS?(Hero Lab said nothing of it). Didn't see anything about obsidian firearms anywhere else, so I would appreciate some help.

Thanks

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if the kitsune is PFS legal without a boon. Thanks

Scarab Sages

Hey everyone,

A while back I created a Tiefling PFS Character and ive played with him once so far. Yesterday i got on Hero Lab after updating it and i found that Tieflings were illegal in PFS(according to it.) Is this correct, and if it is, does that mean this character is void?

Hey guys,

For my lvl 2 sorcerer, i have a scorpion that gives me +4 initiative. at lvl 3, im getting improved familiar so i can get a better one then and later at 5-7. Should i wait on that, or get it now? currently at lvl 3 i plan to use a quasit because theyre pretty sweet. Any advice?

Thanks

Hey PF People,

I am wondering if the Mage Armor and Shield spells stack to a +8 AC and if its worth spending two rounds/just doing mage armor way before combat buffing. (Im level 2)

Thanks

Hey PF people,
I am a tiefling and i want a bite ability. Tieflings can get these, but my character creating program says its illegal for PFS play. Is that right?

Hey Paizo people,

I'm making an inquisitor who uses a bastard sword, and a race that was proficient with it, but am thinking of going tiefling(oni-spawn) for more effective ability scores. Now i cant use a bastard sword, and i want to use it one handed. So, i need proficiency with it. Should i burn a feat on it, or is there a better way? I dont want the heirloom trait thing, kinda dumb after a couple levels. Help me figure this out.

Hey PF people,

Can you make me a list of swift action spells? Or maybe nonstandard/not full round. I know the Litany spells and one other, but couldnt find any lists elsewhere. Help me out?

Thanks

Hey people,

This is just a short question: Can you bite(im a tengu) people when TWFing?

Thanks

Hey PF people,

Im making an inquisitor for PFS and hes mostly set, but im trying to figure out which domain to go with. I want a true neutral deity so i can cast any aligned spells. He isnt going to be super spellcasterish though. OBviously inquisitors arent but this guy just not much either. Other than some healing and litanys and maybe later on inflict wounds. And buffs. But death domain gives you a 1d6 per round bleed effect equal to half you cleric(inquisitor?) level. And at level 8, you heal from negative energy. That sounded sweet to me, is it a good choice?

Thanks

Hey PF People,
Im an inquisitor and have proficiency cause of race with Bastard swords. Got 16 strength. So lvl 1 ive got a -1 to hit with both(including TWF). Is this worth pursuing? I wanna make it be a fun guy, and i thought this would be a good idea. Let me know.

Hey PF people,

I'm a draconic(bronze:electricity)sorcerer. Bloodline Arcana is

Whenever you cast a spell with an energy descriptor(mines lightning) that matches your draconic bloodline's energy type, that spell deals +1 point of damage per die rolled.

So when, for example, i cast fireball with elemental spell metamagic feat on it to change it to lightning, would i get the extra damage?

Thanks

I am a blaster sorcerer(most of the time). I like chain lightning cause i think its pretty OP able at max to hit 20 guys =400d6 spread out I believe. Is it one of the better spells? I also have draconic bloodline arcana that gives +1 damage per dice on electricity spells, so this spell(im pretty sure) will murder bad later on. What is your opinion on this spell, and should i get it at lvl 12? Also is it worth getting elemental spell to change stuff like fireball to lightning ball for that +1 damage per dice?

:P

Hey PF people,
I have a PFS lvl 2 sorcerer character and am wondering how to get a familiar. I dont have the arcane bloodline, so i cant get arcane bond. Does improved familiar just grant me that? In the feat description it says
Improved Familiar

This feat allows you to acquire a powerful familiar, but only when you could normally acquire a new familiar.

So what do i need to do to be able to normally acquire a familiar? And what are good improved familiars? Im most interested in the Inevitable Arbiter, Pseudodragon, or a mephit.

Thanks

Hey PF People,
I am looking to create a fetchling gunslinger character for PFS. I know there's alot of hate on gunslingers, but regardless i want to make it, and i'm looking for help. What are your oppinions on this? I am going to use the mysterious stranger archetype so grit will be based on Charisma. Fetchlings caught my eye cause their ability mods are perfect(dex+2, cha+2, wis-2) for what i want, and they have useful stuff like resistance to cold/electric 5 and shadow blending(50% miss chance in dim light). Im thinking of stats being
Str 10
Dex 18
Con 14
Int 7
Wis 5
Cha 19

Thanks

Hey guys, I'm a level one sorcerer and I thought it'd be fun to dual-wield crossbows(like a lot of other people, i later realized). I currently have the two-weapon fighting feat and +4 to dex, and two masterwork light crossbows. It comes out to a total of -1 to hit with each of them. So this works well, but my problem is; how do i reload them? I've seen some talk about the wondrous item Spare Hand, but it's 12000 GP, and im *poor*. Is there a good way to do this? It's been suggested to me that i use Prestige Points to buy a porter or the like to reload my crossbows on his turn(if he has one). I need some ideas..

Hey PF people, i am wondering if multiclassing is worth doing as sorcerer, and if it's worth doing with dragon disciple which basically stacks on top of all the draconic sorcerer bloodline abilities. My concern is if I multiclass, I wont reach a high level with sorcerer. Since spellcasting classes get big 'bonuses'/high level spells and abilities later on(lvl 15-20), multiclassing will keep me from that. Is it worth doing this? Also, this is a Pathfinder Society character so I have restrictions on some things.

Thanks
