I'm planning on playing a Winter Witch in an up-coming PFS game.
I don't like the familiars you get to choose from for a winter witch, so I was wondering if I take improved familiar feat at "1st level", may I choose say for example the Greensting scorpion?

I'm curious about playing a winter witch in PFS.

How's does it work?
Can you start out as one at 1st level, or do you switch over to one at certain level?

Does having Keen Senses as a half-elf make perception a class skill, or just give you a bonus of +2 if you should get that skill?

Okay first off I'm fairly new at Pathfinder, so for those of you that are old hats at this game please bear with me.

I was wondering between either a Half-Elf or Human, which would be better for playing a Witch for Min/Maxing.

Fairly new to Pathfinder, please bear with me for not knowing a lot of the abbreviations used.

I'm interested in playing a card carrying/slinging witch.
I've the Harrow Handbook, Deluxe Harrow Deck , plus pretty much all the other books I think I might need.
This character would be played in PFS games.

Race: Half-Elf

Stats
Str:10
Dex:16
Con:13
Int:16(14)
Wis:12
Cha:10

What I'm wanting to know is, what feats would I need to take?

Example
Point-Blank Shot at 1st.
Precise Shot at 3rd.

How do you get slight of hand? I see that you get Deadly Dealer at 2nd level in-place of the hex, but it says that you need 5 ranks in it.
Do you get it included just like Arcane strike so you don't need ranks in it?

Ability stats are locked to this, I can't change them.

Int-12
Wis-18
Chr-7

Starting out at 2nd lvl.
I've the option to either playing a Human or Half-elf.
Main weapon is a weighted spear from PPC: Melee Tactics Toolbox.
Cannot use a shield.

I've Focus Weapon: At 1st level, a warpriest receives Weapon Focus as a bonus feat (he can choose any weapon, not just his deity's favored weapon).

What do you think would the be another good feat (or feats if I pick a human) to take?
