The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

To speed things up a bit guys, make sure to roll for your jobs, and to give me a brief rundown

Bought x (cost 7 gp)
Sold y (gave me 2gp)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Sorry guys, it has been a very stressy time and I have had very little time to spare. Working on the sheets now.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

OOps sorry, will do them tomorrow. Kinda fell of the planet for some time

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Almost september, almost more free time.
Finishing up this AP and looking for the PDF of the new one.
I'll keep you posted.

Some questions to keep the interest flowing!
--
Did you enjoy it?
What were positive things?
What were negative things?
If you could, what would you have done differently?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Working on it! :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Back!

The venture captain looks at all of you, and listens to your tales. In the end, he looks at the bundle Leiff presents, and starts reading. A servant that was standing to the side motions that this could take a while, and ushers you out.

You go back to your lodge.
I assume.
--
Technically, this is the end of the adventure. Please tell me what you want to do/buy before I fill in the sheets :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

As everyone is ushered into the Venture-Captain's chambers, you notice he is quite busy.

When one of you coughs to break the silence, he looks up to you and speaks.
"It is you who have brought back the braid, and for this you have my personal thanks. I can not have been an easy task, but you have pulled through, as I had been told you would."

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Anything anyone wants to do, like Thaurux, before going to see Amara Li?
Second question: we are reaching the end of the first book. Could you clarify if you (A) want to continue with this character into the second booklet, or (B) want to step down, due to whatever reason. No hard feelings :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Nothing anymore, I guess? :)

As you reach the lodge, you dump your stuff back into your own quarters and start cleaning the gear, replenishing your arrows and getting some muchneeded "feet in the air" time.

A few hours later, a runner comes for you. He says that Venture-Captain Amara Li will want to see you.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Your level in hitpoints.
Oh, and nobody is fatigued due to the altitude anymore :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

The group arrives at the bottom of the mountain with little trouble.

Anything you want to do while going down, put it in spoilers.
Whot do yoo do when you reach town?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

As you all set up for the night, the winds pick up and a small snowstorm picks up. You have enough shelter to not be bothered by it, but being outside would have been more challenging.

In the morning, you notice the weather has turned to a calm winter breeze again, and you can make your way down the mountain without much trouble.

Whut du yu du?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

You start making your way down the path, and experience little trouble. You know what is where, what is best avoided, and where not to put your feet. You reach the cavern where you last had a good night's sleep.

Snow clouds are gathering up ahead, and by now everyone is feeling the effects of the lighter air.

IC: continue or rest?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Creature is dead.
Assuming you once again prepare to leave to go down the mountain? Press 1 to confirm. :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

As Horatius charges, his attack strikes true and he clefts the creature almost in two.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Going with "returning without further ado" to get things rolling again guys.

As you are all preparing to leave, everyone feeling dizzy and tired from spending so much time at great height, you start to distribute the weight. Leiff hauls his mountain-like backpack on his shoulders even as Theor is counting the braids, and Horatius is still looking at the text that Thaurux deciphered.

You make ready to leave, when you see the creature you wounded and which ran away, drop from the roof in front of you. He pounds his chest, and seems to want a rematch!

Initiative:

Horatius: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Leiff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Theor: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Lynthara: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Thauraux: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
---
SY: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Horatius and Lynn, you get to act! Please do so within 24 hours.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Thaurux:
You succeed! Nothing special to report.

What's the plan guys?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

This is an unadorned, simple room.
This room probably served as the monks’ store room, but nothing of value remains inside.

You have explored the entire temple.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

That's the downside of PFS.. Got the booklet on my pc, ain't getting near my pc, so need to wait to advance the story a little lads.

Will try to post the next room in the next 24 hours.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

25h shift, will post.. Well, in 25 hours :p

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Yey! =)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Thaurux:
You take a few minutes, and manage to decipher and piece together the last few pages, which tell of the horrors experienced by the explorers (bodies you found) while trapped beneath the avalanche. The last page of the journal lists the names of those that died during the expedition, including Pathfinder Rickard Murton.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Apparently not :p

The party is feeling the weight of the air on them, as their minds drift easily.

Anything else you guys do?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Theor's question:
"Your guess would be better than mine, seeing as you know the date and have particular good eyes. I have but thoughts, and time to reflect upon them...

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

How it works?:
Only the master of the monastery would know how the Braid of a Hundred Masters functions.

What do you do?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Can we help?:
“You cannot. My freedom is my own to achieve.”
Any wisdom?:
"Be careful what you ask for."

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Is this the braid?:
"Yes... You have found it?"

What happened to you?:
“I foolishly asked for wisdom. In response, I was given time to find that wisdom for myself.”

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Who are you?:
“I am Jiang Dan, a simple servant of the Master of Masters.”
What is the fate of the braid?:
The last master, Li Yao, left the monastery and the braid here many, many years ago.”
What happened to the monastery and the other monks?:
“A petulant student believed he knew better than his master. The student proclaimed that the master unfairly gained power from the Braid of a Hundred Masters, cheapening the path to self-perfection.
He challenged the master to remove the braid and compete against him without its power. The master did so and, in the process, defeated the student.
Once the master had proven himself to the student, the master left the
braid at the student’s feet, then turned away, leaving the monastery, never to return.
The master took one student with him that day, the young disciple, Ying Pei, while the remaining students squabbled and fought over the braid.
None could call upon the power of the braid and so they left the monastery, one by one, once again seeking their true paths to perfection. Eventually, only the petulant student and the braid remained. Here he stayed, until the day he died, contemplating the significance behind his master’s actions. Perhaps, through searching for the master and his last disciple, you may uncover the answer to the Braid of a Hundred Masters.”
---
Theor, Thaurux, Leiff:
When you are telepathically talking
Your eyes are drawn to the "nest" of a yeti (presumeably) and you notice a number of things, some of them surprisingly fragile items of value
There is a braid, an antique Iroran silver holy symbol, four jade gemstones, a magnifying glass, a set of silvered armbands depicting pouncing tigers, and a bejeweled ceremonial masterwork temple sword.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Jiang Dan... My name is Jiang Dan.

Maybe it's best if you all simply state all your questions, so you don't have wait every time for the answer. I will answer them all together then, since it's telepathy anyway :)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Those who responded, telepathically:
My na...When is this?
It's been a long time.. Are you pupils of mine?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Everyone in the room:

As you are searching the room, you can hear a strange and old voice in your heads. At first you don't believe it is there, but the longer you concentrate the more it reminds you of a very very old man, scratching his throat while speaking.

Telepathically
Forsooth, it haveth been a longe time since a man's mind hasseth entered this here temple... What would be thy name?

Yes, my old english sux :p

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Well done Horatius! ;)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Any of you still remember what you are looking for?
Theor: I'll assume you go to the next location: F4

This fifteen-foot-by-thirty-foot room seems to have escaped
the destruction found throughout the rest of the monastery. A
statue, leaning against the northern wall, appears out of place
among the rest of the room’s contents—clay pots, ruined
sacks, and aged tools. The statue, made of finely carved stone
with jade inlays, depicts a man with a serene face, standing in
a meditative stance.

Going in?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

You wait for several minutes, up to half an hour, and you see no sign of the creature anymore. It seems to have fled into the mountains.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Poke all the others!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

OKay, time's up :)

You notice the creatures drops its spear, and you can hear claws on the wood behind it. Next thing you know, it opens a door and starts running out, leaping over anything that might slow it.

Party up!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

After what Leiff said, i'll give you guys a chance to respond before the yeti's action :-)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Poke the others!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

The creature looks at the overwhelming numbers that stand against it, and retreats towards the back of the room. Ill-lit as it is, you can hear it growl slightly less dangerous than before.

Withdraw action.
Rest is up, then Theor and Horatius

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

You cannot take AOO against opponents with cover relative to you. Also, there is a wall between you and the yeti. So if you move two right, one down and one southwest, you can stabinate the yeti, since it has no reach. ;)

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Waiting for Lyn and Leiff

The creature howls in pain as it is being attacked from all sides. It proves to be relentless though, even as it smashes Theor's spear aside!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Don't forget about fatigued penalties, for those who were.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

claws: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13>1d4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (2) = 6
claws: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
shortspear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7>1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The creature steps up and unleashes a fury upon both Leiff and Horatus, before showing keen intelligence and stepping back to avoid the spears somewhat.

Claws vs Leif, Spear vs Horatius.
Rest is up!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

After a creature has been dazed by this spell, it is immune to the effects of this spell for 1 minute.
== No stunlocking Lynthara, I'm afraid. :p

The creature ignores the sphere of light, knowing what effect it will have, and dodges Leiff's blow. The sound he makes intrigues it, apparently.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Leiff and Lyn, I believe you still have your round 2 actions?

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Theor strikes true, making the creature howl in anger!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

1d20 ⇒ 4
Creature is dazed, so it skips its turn right now.
Theor and Thaurux, do your action, followed by Theor, Lyn and Leiff.

The creature seems fascinated with the light, and is unable to draw its eyes away from it.
It realises too late it is still in danger!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

claws: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18>1d4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 2 + (6) = 11
claws: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
shortspear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21>1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

The creature steps up and unleashes a fury upon both men. It tries to avoid the long spears as it thrusts its own, followed by claws all around.

Claws vs Theor, Spear vs Thaurux.
Rest is up!

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

No charge, since you are fatigued :-(
Will post yeti's turn in a few hours.

The map // Initiative >> Theor & Thaurux > Yeti > Rest

Check. Next up is Thaurux!
T-24 before the yeti does its thing!
