The Globe of Invulnerability spell says like Minor Globe except it stops 4th level spells. Minor Globe says it can be dispelled by Dispel Magic. It does not make sense to me that a Globe that will stop 4th level spells can be undone by a 3rd level spell. What makes sense to me is that it would take Greater Dispel Magic. Any advice on this? Thanks
Hello, I received my May Shipment in three separate boxes. 2 Cases of Miniatures and the other one had my books and one box of the Crimson Throne Room minis. I did not receive my second case incentive box. I do not think I have another box coming, because I received emails on these three boxes and no others. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Hello Paizonians... My March shipping was supposed to have three Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set #6 in it but it only had one. I always get my order the day after I get my shipping notification being I live in Lacey, WA. I have waited to see if there was a second box that did not make it with the first but in about two weeks I have not received a second box or the other two iconic sets. Thank you for your attention to this issue.
I sent message about this a week or more ago. On my orders it says that my minis were sent out on 6/11/14. The response said that it would be sent out by 6/20/14. I still have not received the minis, and I am wondering if they were sent yet and lost or not sent yet. I also have not gotten my Emerald Spire hardcover, and I do not see that it was sent out yet. I also have not received my map pack for this. I can totally pick these things up at Paizocon if they will not go out right away. Thank you...
I thought that my miniatures had been shipped but I have not received them. I checked today and they were sent on June 11th. Usually I receive shipments from Paizo in one day and on rare occasions two, even Pathfinder Battles cases. But this hasn't arrived yet. I know it is too early to panic but I thought I would mention it in case there was a problem shipping or something on Paizo's end. Thank you
Hi, I am a little confused on this order. Last week I received a box with my subscriptions, my two incentive minis and one case of Wraith of the Righteous minis. I thought my other case would arrive the next day (Friday) and when I went back it had not come in yet. Saturday I had a game so I couldn't check. This morning when the website came back up it showed one case was shipping and the other was pending. I checked the UPS tracking and showed the package was signed for but not what was in the package. That status seemed to show both cases had been shipped in one package. To confuse the issue a bit more. I got an email that said problem with order ??? (Don't know which order) followed immediately by an email that said my things were shipping, and I could access my PDFs. And my stuff all arrived the next day so I thought okay no problem. So, I am writing this to make sure my other case is on the way and to make sure there are no problems someplace that I need to handle, due to the first email, or if the second case is pending to get it out the door. Thank you for all the great service I receive from Paizo. As I charter subscriber I believe I have only had to write (maybe) three messages like this since Burnt Offerings. I appreciate that more than I can ever express.
What would you like to see in Pathfinder Battles? I would like to see the following AP sets in the following order: Mummy's Mask
This and keep up with the current APs as they are released (as Wrath of the Righteous is going to be in December). And the rest of the Dragon Evolutions

So my Carrion Crown group gets to Feldgrau (sorry if I messed up the spelling I am travelling and don't have my book in front of me) and as is there new way of adventuring (since starting the 3rd chapter) they go around town to check out the tower first. They find the wights and destroy them with only one level lost. Then the cleric of Desna dimension doors three of them to the top of the tower after the skeletons start shooting arrows at them. Of course there is not a full roof on the tower so they fall to the floor below, while the witch flies up separately and destroys the skeletons with a lightening bolt. Vrood of course hears the noise. Takes a couple of rounds to prepare for the encounter (while I keep the party in rounds) and then opens up on them with Circle of Death. He takes out the summoners creature and then kills the fighter. That leaves the witch, the cleric and the summoner without his best creature. They put up a very good fight and I was not sure for a moment whether Vrood would survive. They used Black Tentacles and threw a wall of fire on him and hit him with a lightening bolt and then sent a couple of fire elementals at him. Vrood failed a spell or two from being grappled and then hit them with cloudkill, turned invisible and got off Protection from Energy (fire). The witch had only a few hit points and summoner had lost 9 CON and they decided to take the fighters body (so Vrood could not do something nasty with it and run). They were very lucky to not have attracted attention and they did not get a random encounter the whole time. They decided to run to Carrion Hill to find more help and to heal and regain anything they will need to make a second run at Vrood. So, I am considering running Carrion Hill while they are there. I was thinking about it before and had kind of passed on the idea but if they are going to show up there.... Well then I think they deserve some fun.
Currently I have four area I would like to see more development on - in this order. 1. The Solar System - Distant Worlds was a taste that has left me hungry or maybe starving for me. I have had a hit of crack and I am searching for the next high... 2. Vudra 3. Sunken Azlanti 4. Dragon Kingdoms. I know this is not how things go but I would buy a hardcover on all of these areas in a heartbeat. But then I would just like more Golarion hardcovers.
The following is from the PRD Enchantment School The enchanter uses magic to control and manipulate the minds of his victims. Enchanting Smile (Su): You gain a +2 enhancement bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate skill checks. Does this mean that for an Enchanter - Diplomacy, Intimidate and Bluff are class skills for Wizards who take Enchantment as their chosen school? I realize this is probably been discussed someplace on the boards but a search did not reveal the hidden information. Thank you all in advance for the discussion that ensues....
Hi all, I know it is early in the game for concerns but... I usually get packages from Paizo the day after they are sent. Two at the most. My account says that my Tome of Horrors was sent on the 24th and it has not arrived yet. When people started mentioning they got theirs on the 31st I looked at my account. I had been to my mailbox on the 31st but had no packages. I went today and had them double check and it is still not there. So, I thought I would check in with you and see if there is a tracking number or any way I might figure out where the book went. Thanks for all the great products and service Paizo provides. I bought all the fiction in epubs and then tried to read them on my Kindle. It seems like the first three novels that came out are a bit different the the newer epubs. The older novels work find on my kindle but the new ones do not even show up. Am I doing something wrong. I transferred the files to the documents folder on my kindle. This worked with those older novels but not with the latest novel or any of the other Pathfinder Fiction. Help...
There have been threads on the message boards about taking PDF maps from adventure paths and having them expanded and printed at Kinkos or someplace like that. Is there anyway to get a short letter giving permission to have these printed for personal use. I have had a few put on vinyl and I love them but it is sometimes a hassle to get it done. Thanks....
Hi all, You tried to run my credit card for this order and it didn't go through. I threw some money on the card and tried to tell the website to run it again but it just kept telling me it did not go through before and I had to give another option to bill it. I have for years been fascinated by the idea of an campaign centered around the idea of shadow magic, the shadow plane, and other shadow themed concepts. So, I am just throwing the idea out there. Scattered throughout the 3.5 books there were many of these spells, classes, monthers, etc. including the Tome of Magic which had full and prestige classes. Help me keep the shadow from enveloping Golarion.
James (rightfully) closed down the other thread that started by talking about consolidated lists. I understand the realities that James talked about in that other thread and do not disagree with any of them. And I do understand that this is how D&D has been from the start. Some of the best 1e monsters came out in modules. I also have had the experience of knowing I saw something somewhere in some book and could not find it when I wanted it. So, maybe an annual compilation is not possible but maybe one every few years to include rules, prestige classes and other information that is applicable to the bigger game and not just an AP. James thank you for input on the boards and in the above mentioned thread.
Recently it has come up in my group that some of my players think they get a saving throw immediately when receiving an energy drain attack. I have looked over the rules in the Core Rulebook, Heroes of Horror, the Pathfinder Bestiary, the 3.5 books and I cannot find anyplace where it says anything about an intial saving throw. My understanding is that the only saving throw comes at 24 hours to see if the negative levels become permanent (unless the levels are restored through restoration). It seems to me the negative levels take effect immediately and then there is a save 24 hours later but that is the only saving throw. I wish the book was just a bit more clear on this one. Somehow some of my players read it differently. Thanks for all your input.
I have resisted using my laptop at the gaming table for a long time. I have tried a couple of different software packages but they have not grabbed me. What are people using - why are you using it and how easy is it to use at the table. I am computer literate but I am not very interested in something that has a very steep learning curve. Money is not really an issue as long as it is a great program that will help me at the table and make things easier rather than harder. I have a friend who uses something and I find that he spends a lot of time with the laptop and not with us (although sometimes I do to with stat blocks or text - so I see the trade off). Maybe something to help make combat faster but it has to handle unique creatures and that then means a lot of input and I am not hot on that or even have the time. DM Familiar has some of the AP inputted already but not enough to help me. The last one they did is the next one I will be running and then I have over run them. Thanks in advance for your help.
Please with all future map folios or region books may we get a poster map of the main town or region. I like to take them to Kinko's to get them made larger and put on vinyl but somewhere their software has changed and they cannot do it with maps within a PDF anymore (of course unless they had the password). But when those maps are placed on the blog or are separate PDF's then they can do it. Next week I plan to take the map for Darkmoon Dale over and get it done. I know that Vic has talked about selecting the image but when I do that I lose all the annotations (which sometimes I want and sometimes I don't). I certainly can copy the image without them but have not been able to copy the image with them. (Before Vic says do control copy - I have tried them all). I am also not the Photoshop poster boy - although I own the program. I guess I could figure out how to add those annotations back in but all the street names, etc? Man... Anyway, thank you for listening to my whining. And thank you for the fantastic work.
In the Crown of the Kobold King D-1 it says in the module that the 3rd level of the Dungeon will be covered in a later module. Today preparing D0/D1/D1.5 combo I realized I mistakenly thought that D1.5 would have that deeper level but alast that is not true. Are there any plans for that deeper level or has it been published and I missed it someplace. Thanks for the amazing work you do.
Our group just converted our RotR group to Pathfinder. We were playing Sins of the Saviors and during the play Dispel Magic came up two or three times. We found the spell to be confusing and had difficulty resolving the spell in relation to the effect it was trying to overcome. We did not feel that going back to the 3.5 was a good option either. As the DM I made a guess on the effect and we moved on but it took us quite sometime to try and figure it out and never really got a good resolution to the situation. |
