Thanks for the input Ecaterina, I really appreciate it. I think that I might just use a Samurai and reskin him a bit, it fits the word alot better.

So opinions on what I should call the samurai reskin?

Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Fighter, Rogue, Ranger, Paladin (TBD), Wizard (Wordcaster only), Oracle

They will not meet any truly evil foes for a while, just humans on the villages they raid.

And thinking about changing the requirement from "Lawful Good" to "Do what pleases your god"

Its not the spellcasting I'm worried about, its all of the abilities.

Thats what I was thinking, more having some abilities tied to certain gods and having some things taken away that do not deal with that god. Im just not sure what to pick and choose without gutting the class and making it unplayable.

Hey gang, I'm working on a homebrew campaign set at the beginning of the Viking age. Trying to find a way to fit a Paladin into my class list without them being ridiculously overpowered. What would you rule the Paladin not having in a low-magic word?

By low-magic, spells are uncommon but not unheard of. Items are very rare, but consumable magic can be found (scrolls, potions, ETC.)

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice! Flynn, really appreciate all the input you've given me.

Yea, oozes are going to show up alot for me I think, along with more aberations

Hey guys, my party that im running the campaign for is headed into the darklands, Any advice on tactis/monsters that may help drive the point home that this isn't kansas anymore? Party is 5th level, will remain in the darklands until the adventure is complete.

Grease, Create Pit, Mad Monkey Swarm

One of my favorite combos, create pit under a player, grease the sides, cast mad monkeys into the pit. Giggle

-Wind Wall- will help shut down the rogue
-Stone Shape- is more useful than you might think, use it was cover
-Glyph of Warding- sprinkle them everywhere, most parties tend to not even bother with checking for traps when they see the BBEG
-Symbol of Slowing- Handy
-Control Summoned Creature- If they summon, turn it on them
-Rest Enternal-, this might be an option against the cleric with breath of life
What are their alignments, target those for protections

-Silence- Forces movement
-Deeper Darkness- Cant attack what they can't see

Lesser Planar Ally!

Some choices to consider

Vargouille
Barghest
Nightmare
Xill
Half-Fiend Minotaur (One of my picks)
Bearded Devil (Harder to heal)
Babau (target the druid with this one)
Xorn

Hope this helps some more

Have you considered having some sort of dominate on the cavalier? Turn the tables and have him charge the party?, or have the cleric set up the battlefiend to disallow charging. At this point the BBG should know how the party generally rolls in their combat. So custom tailor the battlefield to shut them down.
A scroll of Maze would be hilarious for splitting them up.
Grapple the sorc, split the cavalier off/attack his will save. For the cleric, have the drake focus it.

As for the druid, separate like cavalier.

Rogue and cohort, will saves will be their bane most likely.

I finished Jade Regent a while ago, while the -Hungry Storm- installment was kinda a bust for my party, they absolutely loved the story and the setting.

I've recently started to run the newest AP which is the Snows of Summer, and so far it is an amazing AP that my PC's are quickly finding is not just a walk in the park for 90% of the encounters.

I recent decided not to run my Jade Regent campaign after my players turned on me when due to scheduling conflicts I was unable to DM for a few weeks.

We had finally set a time to run the campaign when two of my players decided that they would rather go do something else than play in my campaign.

When i was discussing how I felt abused due to this, he flat out said that i shouldnt complain because it's not like DMing is hard. And that he could do it way better than I could. (He just started playing pathfinder with us at the beginning of JR.)

Was cancelling this the right decision?

Awesome! Thanks for the advice guys! As for the alchemist idea, it is one that I had considered. But the minus of only hitting 6th level spells from a very limited list was a major issue with me being the only arcane source for the campaign, but I will definitely ask our DM about dual wand wielder!

The DM is not allowing dual characters from one person.

Any advice on ways to augment my amount of spells?

Could you possibly use Haste to use two?

Now, I'm not a new player by any means, but I have a serious question for the forums.

Dual Wielding wands? Is it possible? If so, what modifiers/penalties do you take?

The main reason why Im wondering is Im sadly the ONLY source of arcane magic in an upcoming campaign and I want to try and supplement my supply of spells to the UTMOST degree.

If dual wielding wands is not an option in addition to my regular casting (Im a sorcerer just for your information) We are starting out at first level and of course, the funds are not available for wands yet. But in a few levels im hoping to start building them.

Thank you very much for your input!
