Or Paizo can Donate the boons to the Charity Auction that happens Saturday Evening and advertise what boons are being offered near HQ or the Token exchange.

I dislike the idea of participation boons for an auction. The driving force is the rarity or value of the item. Like gold foiled signed Star Finder and Pathfinder Core Rule Books. The one donated (Pathfinder) to the Charity a few years back did not make as much as the one offered up in the ballroom. If Paizo had stated that other books or even products had been donated to the Saturday Charity Auction in addition to the Boon and Books they had done that year. Those books would have gone for a lot more.

I have attended the Saturday Auction every Gen Con for the last 12 Years. Those who donate end up having increased traffic to their booths just on curiosity and a thank you from those who attended. The Guy who won the Mummy"s Card Game also bought Shackles Sunday. Plus on word from Frank Mentz got one of his iconic character cards signed by Reynolds. It's the little things that make a lasting impact for the Charity Auction and bring people back.

Same can be said for Paizo. I would like to see not just boons, but more personalized stuff from Paizo Staff. A painted mini from Eric Mona. A Pathfinder Character made by John Compton. Have Lisa Stevens Beat Box for your Bard's Inspire Couage and recorded for a sound board or cell phone . No matter what you Ladies and Gentlmen decide to do. Please participate in the auction.

I was not suggesting he or she could not have it. I just said "Most of us can make a plausible argument against any feat." Generalization. Just a way of looking at Feat choice. Not legalities.

If your area has a local lodge shirt then you can have a reroll. In Florida we have a Florida PFS Lodge Shirt. Counts as a Reroll. So for that friend who had a local shirt, if his lodge allowed it then yes it counted FOR that area and may count beyond that if they have the Coordinators Permission.

At our game days we allow one re-roll if you make a purchase over $5.00. Must have a receipt. Its a local thing we do to promote goodwill with the shops we run at since they do not charge us for the table. In some areas they do. Down here in Jax we are lucky they do not.

In the PFS Guide their is a list of what gives a reroll.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the lodge
Not an adventurer was stirring, not even those with a Cheliax cause.
Bags of holding were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that a Mythical Elf would bring them new magic to share.

The faction Leaders were nestled all snug in their beds,
(Except for a certain Para countess all dressed in Leather red)
And Drandle behind his desk reading scrolls of lore
Had just settled which Pathfinders he would send for.

When out in the court yard there a rose such a clatter,
Drandle sprang from his desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window he flew summoning those unlucky few,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

Showed him the growing horde far down below
When, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
But a Large Brutish Man whipping eight vicious dire deer

With Crimson eyes, so lively and quick,
He cast three spells with just a flick of his wrist
Drandle knew in a moment who it must be

More rapid than eagles his undead minions flew,
And he chanted, and summoned, and called these creatures by name!
Drandle did not hear them, but knew them by their growing fame.

As quick as only the undead could fly
They met unexpected resistance and fireballs lit up the sky.
So the Dark Sleigh Rider armed with battle axe and heavy mace,
Pointed down at the main house and made all haste
He smiled knowingly as he descended faster,
This Dark Fiend knew no master

And then jumped from the sleigh in a spinning dive,
He made his acrobatics check DC: 25
I shook my head as I heard the clatter,
Drandle yelled for us and we rose to see what was the matter.

As I drew my blade and my friend her Bow,
Down the south passage is where we would go
There he stood ten feet tall,
Calling out a challenge for one and all!

He was dressed all in Armor, covered in spikes
Armed now with a Wicked battle axe that must be Plus five!
All buffed with plenty of spells,
His eyes twinkled with the power of several hells.
When much to our horror he went for his magical sack,
We all knew right then we had to fall back

After we dove for cover our wizard made a plan
Blast him with lightning and a Crushing Hand!
We charged him then without a thought,
We needed to flank him without getting caught.

He was quick deadly, and resistant to fire
And according to my Knowledge Check he would never tire.
With a move action and a twist of his head,
He brought forth his last minion, Rudolph the Red
Laughing out loud, feeling me with dread
I prayed and used smite, dropping his henchman dead

To our surprise he withdrew to his sleigh,
Eyeing us closely as he slowly made his way
I heard him exclaim as he rode into the night,
“This is not over, Your GM let you off lite!”
Merry Christmas to all and to all good night.

I was wondering how come the top 8 who did not win are not allowed to ever participate again? These are people who have a passion for pathfinder and some great ideas, but I have heard little from them since they are no longer allowed to submit ideas. I know that On the PFS side of things we have many who have submitted stuff for scenarios and John receives proposals in droves, but this rule I believe limits the talent every year in a very negative way. It's great if you got in the top 4, but heck I'm sure it's a downer if you are in the top 6 and knowing two of you never get a shot at this again.........ever.

I would like to know why they cannot re-enter the following year. This rule makes no sense to me. I have never even made it into the top 32, but it sucks to think if I made it into the top 8 or 6 that's it. I'm out forever more.

In what way did the campaign need to be turned around? New things are being tried. More changes have come about because of the great feedback from the members in this Living Campaign than any other. PFS has given more back to its community than any other hands down and things are still moving forward with all kinds of story lines and new places to adventure. John and Mike do not need to turn things around. They need to keep going forward and do what they do. Be innovative explore and report.

I'm of the opinion that they should be used for taking credit a second time when GMing, rather than for replaying - renewable each year.

As I see it, encouraging GMs to GM scenarios multiple times results in a better experience for the players.

With the amount of emphasis on not replaying scenarios present, I don't see how allowing any replaying is a good thing.

Anybody who has gmed over 60 games im pretty sure has gmed the same scenario more then once. Seems highly unlikely that they have just run 6o or more separate scenarios. (as an example)

The players are already getting a good experience by having an experienced GM sit down and run at 2+ Stars (Not a slam on people just starting out GMing or someone who has just sat down to GM a PFS Scenario and have years of time behind the screen)

The Stars are nice reward for those GMs stepping up to run. It should be their choice on how to apply the star. (At 60 its not like IM NOT GOING TO GM lol I already love GMing otherwise I would not being doing something I dislike 60 times) If I had a choice to sit and play a fun scenario or get credit for rerunning another scenario I would like to sit with my friends and Play the fun scenario GETTING another credit OR not. Its a game and its suppose to be enjoyed. Unless the GM/Player sitting down is ruining the fun then that's up the GM running the table to ask the person to leave or remind him that he is ruining it for the others including the person running it.
Whats to stop someone from reading the scenario ahead of time and doing the same thing?? You cannot. You have to trust the person sitting down that they are not going to be "THAT GUY". I think the person with the Stars has earned a bit of trust in that department. I think replay is a good thing and like any game people can cheat. Only honesty/integrity imposed by the players and GMs themselves can stop from ruining the game. Replay is fine. They should not limit it to a one time deal. In fact it would be nice to see that as a Boon for the general player base. :D

They were photo copying the boons at Gen-Con. Alot of boons were given away, but all the players I saw were glad to have them. The Tien/Orential flavored ones like the kitsune were very popular. I wish the Strix were playable.
