So, my name is Cho'gal. This *gesturing toward a lion-sized demonic feline nearby, which glares around in undisguised hatred* is Garrosh. We're sort of... stuck together. An old deal one of my orcish ancestors made. I've been with the Sczarni for a while now - I was raised by a Sczarni operative who knew some magic and recognized that I wasn't crazy when I talked to an invisible demon, just a potential summoner. I like working for the Sczarni, and their brand of getting things done appeals to me. I've never big a big fan of the law, really, preferring to just get by, and it's not like half-orcs are well treated by most guards.

It's just that, well, I've been working for the Sczarni for a while now, and I don't feel like I'm any closer to breaking free of this demon that's bound to my soul. They're decent people, sure, but am I getting what I want out of it? It seems like the Dark Archive might be the place to look to find out how to break a generations-old pact with a demonic entity that's bound to my bloodline.

With the Sczarni partnering up with Qadira - and really, it feels like they're taking over our business interests - I'm a little concerned that it may be time to find a new home.

A dark-skinned half-orc in Varisian clothing smiles at your question.

Uncle Guaril exceeds at helping people find whatever they're looking for - even if it is something as simple as a fine meal and the knowledge of how to cook it. Helping people find what they need is what we of the Sczarni do, after all.

Our upcoming partnership with Qadira will, no doubt, expand our reach even more. I've heard that Qadira has access to even the exotic spices and recipes of Tien Xa - a whole new world of food for you to explore. I think the Exchange would be an excellent fit for you and your desires. Perhaps one day soon I'll be able to call you cousin, eh?

So, yeah, the Exchange as a trade faction should fit well for you.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
To find out how to break a pact with a demon that my great-grandfather made. This thing is bound to me, and I'd like to get rid of it forever, and make sure that it doesn't stay bound to my bloodline. I'd like to be able to have kids one day without them having a demon screaming at them in Abyssal all night.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
My first name is Orcish; my last name is Varisian. Guess so.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in Varisia. It made me who I am today - growing up on the streets of Riddleport led me to Rathul, and he's the one that took an interest in me and sponsored my membership to the Sczarni and taught me about magic, and how to control some of Garrosh's worst tendencies.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I've got the dark skin and bestial features of my orcish blood, though some of the skin tone comes from my other parent - I'm guessing she must have been Varisian, but didn't stick around long enough for me to know. I'm mostly wearing armor - leathers, with quite a few metal studs and spikes. I've found them useful when people try to grab me. This is what I wear most of the time, but if I'm not expecting trouble I'll usually wear nicer Varisian clothes - breeches, a nice, loose shirt, and a bandana. I've got a pair of reading glasses if I need to read something.

Garrosh, my demon, looks mostly like a lion with black fur, flaming eyes, and a mane that burns like coals.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Treasure has never meant much to me - it's just the illusion of security. I love my brothers, well, Rathul's sons. I lived with them for a few years, after Rathul found me living on the streets and decided to trust me.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
My demon. This thing doesn't leave me alone, wants me to hurt people. You should be glad you don't hear the things he says in my head. And, I suppose, my great-grandfather for binding me to it.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Rathul was a Pathfinder too, and he inspired me to become one. He figured there was a good chance they'd be able to help me get rid of this demon, once I'd made enough friends in the organization. I didn't have the money to buy my way into one of those fancy mage schools anyway, and maybe once I'm a well-respected Pathfinder they'll help me out and I can get rid of Garrosh once and for all.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I know I'm not the only half-orc to have been abandoned in Riddleport. We mostly stay away from each other, though - stay away from everybody. I guess if I wasn't an orc I wouldn't be cursed with this demon bound to me, since my great-grandfather was an orc himself, and he made the deal.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Hah! Nah, not afraid of anything... out here. When I sleep, Garrosh shows me things. Where he's from. Hunts me in my dreams. So, I guess, sleep.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
I try not to get attached to things. Maybe the key to Rathul's home. I don't get back there as much as I should, and it's not even his home anymore. One of my brothers - well, Rathul's sons - owns the place now that the old man has gone to the Boneyard.
