Fair enough Cheshire figured if he could see what happened from the tree he would know it wasn't us. This made his accusation historical or lies.

Thanks for posting your take on this.

I assumed that the 'deception' was going to take more than one round (at least two rounds). So the deception worked for the first round and I then asked you what you wanted to do for the second round, where you were still far away from the snare site.

I gave you two options: a) double move but 'maybe' get shot at or b) single move and then...

That makes sense and that is the choice I made. So we are we are. I hadn't made the connection that it was too soon for what I was intending. After having read Turn 246. I think I interpreted it as I had found them tricked them and started leading them back I was thinking that was over a minute or so of bobbing an running and weaving through the woods. That was why my following post narrated that kind of movements out. I added the deception check because the way you had narrated my actions called for one. I think I failed to understand the space/action economy involved without the map I thought it was more freeform. Sorry guys.

Thank you for the heads up I added it to my sheet.

As for my thinking. I was simply trying to RP the last portion of my efforts. I figured that my drawing them in would be more than one round and it would be a process or luring them over time. This is what I thought you had started in the last recap. I was simply playing that up leading to the scene. There wasn't a map so I wasn't as concerned with movement. Where I became concerned with actions was the last portion. I wasn't sure if you were going to consider my skill as my "action" if so my next available would be to poof to safe.

At one point he was concerned that the foes had lost sight of him so he tripped cried out and scrambled back to his feet. Finally he made a small rise that overlooked the ambush setting. He cried out in a whimpering cry, "Don't hurt me? Please." When he was sure that they were again closing in he ran toward the ambush clearing. As he made it to the location. He feigned a stumble and rolled over on his back and crab walked a few paces a look of hopelessness in his eyes. He moved to a fallen log careful to keep a bit of his red cloak easily seen.
