About Erodel Alorius

Erodel was tough and quick and none too strong, but most of all he was a prodigy. Erodel was fascinated by books. He read stories of great adventures and hidden treasures and brave heroes on quests and he dreamed of one day exploring the world himself. He considered knowledge to be the greatest asset one could have, and he couldn’t get enough of it. He gathered as many books and scrolls as he could find and even became quite well-known to some of the Pathfinders as well. He looked up to them as mentors and as family and they’d even occasionally let him borrow a few books or a scroll or two. One of the Pathfinders even gifted him an old compass which he forever cherished. He used it as his focus in his studies of the arcane arts in hopes of restoring it to its full functionality. When he wasn’t reading about adventuring he would study magic. He saved up his money to buy himself a Pathfinder’s Chronicle on Arcana which he must have read cover to cover dozens of times. Erodel also developed a knack for deciphering, learning, and reading languages as he realized not all knowledge is written in Taldane. Erodel hopes to record his own adventures in writing so that someday he may be remembered as a great adventurer like the ones he read about as a child. Erodel had spent his entire youth preparing himself for the challenges he’d face as a Pathfinder and his mind is set on joining the Society.

Traits:

Pathfinder's Focus (Magic Trait)
You can select a magnetic compass for your arcane bond class feature; this compass is non-magical, but you can later spend 250 gp to upgrade it into a wayfinder.
Choosing this trait allows you to upgrade this wayfinder to a variant or unique wayfinder per the normal rules for improving magic items. A bonded wayfinder must be held in your hand to grant the benefits of being a bonded object.
