Hey, Suny! You just can't stay away from the seafarin', can you?

*hums the Jaws theme song before she bites*

Hehe.. glad I was looking for a new game to join! ;)

Female Halfling Druid 3

"Of course, Kai. Whenever I have the time I'll be sure to get a new word or two to learn." She smiles. "I don't doubt I'll be fixing up the Seaborn soon."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Hehe, silly electronics trying to hold data for a watery game!

Back! Holidays man, holidays...

Female Halfling Druid 3

*hums the theme song to Jaws*

I'm doing pretty good.

@ Thanksgiving~: Being stuck at work they usually cook a huge meal for us but by the time we got back to the main camp the turkey was all gone! xD Although I heard it had been deep fried, so I think I was lucky I missed out lol.

You are not lucky, deep fried turkey is delicious!

Female Halfling Druid 3

"You make it sound like you'd trade language lessons for healing ones, but it doesn't matter one way or the other to me. I'd be happy to teach you when we have the time."

"If I can get a bit of rope to hold on to, I can help pull too. I'd be more help doing that than trying to keep pace with Kai in the rowboat."

Female Halfling Druid 3

"She has to be moved very carefully. Flight could be more dangerous right now."

She looks to Keev.

"I have no idea how to speak draconic. I wouldn't mind learning though."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine catches the Captain's eye(both if possible) and gives the tiniest shake of her head before she goes back to soothing Keev.

Her condition is worse than I first thought. I feared some broken bones, maybe a poison.. More to be revealed through role-play.

Female Halfling Druid 3

"Don't worry about her Suny, I can start the basics here I think, while the talking is going on. Better I do this than someone who has no idea what they are doing."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Hearing her named called urgently, Nerine wastes little time getting up on to the ship and inspecting the injured lady.

Heal:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Then, to ease her pain, Nerine casts her last healing spell, making sure to touch where she is least likely to cause pain.

Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

"I will not lie, because I believe you already realize this, but this is bad. If we could get you back to our ship, I might be able to make your recovery go more smoothly, as well as determine the true extent of your injuries. My name is Nerine by the way."

Female Halfling Druid 3

While waiting for a rope to be dropped, Nerine is constantly rubbing her arms and legs, trying to get that horrible feeling of the dead water off of her skin.

Probably not a good idea to use the grappeling hook to get aboard..

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine gasps as she surfaces about halfway to the ship.

"Damn curses.." She mutters as she swims through the water, defintely not enjoying the swim.

While the talk is going on about how best to get across to the other vessel Suny turns to Nerine,

"So, whut do ye know about this thing, lass? C'n we separate it from yon ship?" There is a look in Suny's eyes when she asks her question. Then she frowns,

"Aye, an' that does bring a ferbodin' thought. Whut would be t' happen if'n we attract this here Doom's ire?" She adds.

"If we can get a rope tied to the other ship, we [i]might be able to pull it out if we don't get to close. With the air and sea like it is, we could end up like them."

"So far, Garth flying over there and taking the rowboat are the best ideas so far, in my opinion. Garth's wings are like a bat's, and while wind certainly helps, he doesn't need it to fly. But I could be wrong, since I have little knowledge of dragons. The same goes for the rowboat, or even Waveflier if you don't mind getting wet."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine barely has time to grab on to something before the Captain tilts the ship in his attempt to try to avoid the Dead Water.

"It's not just the water." She breathes as she stands again. "The air here doesn't move either, there are no winds to fill the sails. We got out before it's too late."

Yay, Karma points all around!

Female Halfling Druid 3

Knowledge(Nature):1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Nerine gasps as she realizes just where they are.

"Captain, turn the ship now! That one is stuck in a Dead Calm and ships unfortunate enough to enter one may never leave!"

Female Halfling Druid 3

Having been wandering about the ship looking for something to do, Nerine slips around people like waters as she answers the Captain's call, her calm demeanor in stark contrast to Suny's.

Female Halfling Druid 3

The child was dead Captain, there was no need to hush the poor little one. I had 'Flier dive and let the current take the child. I saw no reason to to keep him/her with us once you were aware of it and had decided to follow the current. Making no means to get the body on board while you did so I might add.

Female Halfling Druid 3

*climbs back on to the ship*

Okay, there is a metal man acting as the anchor for that ship over there...

:)

Female Halfling Druid 3

Things are getting interesting...

Female Halfling Druid 3

Reminds me of the Warlock I thought up once.. DM was fine with his powers coming from the Elemental Plane of Water..

Eldritch Spear = Pressurized Blast of Water

Female Halfling Druid 3

Posted, and it seemed appropriate! ;)

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine raises her spear to copy the Captain and is the first to cheer!

"Oh Captain my captain!" She shouts.

Female Halfling Druid 3

"If you have any injuries, I will see to them no matter the time. I can be found in Olek's garden at night when not on watch. I can also lend an ear. The only difference between this room and the ocean at night is the lack of water." She whispers to Kripya before leaving the room. Almost immediately, she went to the railing and peered down at Waveflier and the child, knowing there was nothing she could.

"I bear witness to your passing young one, as sad as it makes me. Go now to the next life, and be happy again." She prayed, not realizing she was talking out loud. She gave the command for 'Flier to dive, and fought back tears as she watched the body wash away. She watched until she could see it no more, then just stared down into the waves until the Captain called for everyone to gather.

Female Halfling Druid 3

What bothers me the most, is that he doesn't a last name..

The Orb of Found Familiar still reminds me of Pokemon!

Female Halfling Druid 3

Slipping around everyone, Nerine walks to Kripya, a worried look on her face.

"Are you hurt?" She asks softly. "I have a spell left that would heal an injury."

Offering to use my last Cure Light until I bleed for them again.

Female Halfling Druid 3

*begins dragging Avion statue to the railing, pushes it over*

There! Now, who wants to celebrate?

Female Halfling Druid 3

Um.. wow. I didn't see that coming..

Hey Suny! I know where all those drugs you wanted went, since Avion is clearly stoned! XD

Female Halfling Druid 3

You can find it in the book Unearthed Arcana or HERE. I've actually used it twice before for other druids, and thoroughly enjoy it.

I asked about in it Character Creation and it was approved.

Edit: Ooh, another Wave druid? Fun!

A toast to those about to die, possibly again!

Those poor undead shall finally rest in piece, away from the greedy clutches of a mad cleric...

A toast then, to freedom, both before and after death!

Female Halfling Druid 3

Score one for the Seas! Could this be an omen that the undead should have stayed dead? ;p

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine calmly steps closer to Kai and lays a hand on him, letting the power of the Seas course through her body to heal his wounds. Just like salt water on an open wound, the process stings...

Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

She smiles. It seems she can heal wounds like she can fix ships!

I'd love to, but the Captain is bombarded with notifications right now. If it all goes well, he might make combat tricky in the hold, since the ship would be turnin' mighty fast...

EDIT: DM, Nerine gave a vague direction - which way did the body 'float' from, according to her? I'll assume it's the right one, and so on when I post.

I gave a vague direction because I wasn't given a direction.. hehe.

Female Halfling Druid 3

"From that direction I think." Nerine explains to the Captain, gesturing in the correct direction. That's when she hears the muffled scream and notices both Kai and Suny's hurried movements.

"Too many bad things are happening today Captain." She says as she runs to join the others, taking her spear in hand in case it's needed. She calls out for someone to get Olek just before she enters the hold.

"I see we should have destroyed you when we took out the others." She says calmly as she takes in the undead's new appearance. "Would any of you disgusting aberrations of the Natural Order care to tell us why your keeping us from getting to your foul master?"

Willpower DM wrote:

DM: You may have missed a piece of wood, but you don't miss this.

** spoiler omitted **

"Oh no.."

She dives into the water and gets Waveflier to surface and keep the poor child next to the ship before climbing back up and running to the Captain.

"Captain.. I was fixing the ship and there was a thud.. there's a dead child down in the water. The poor thing wasn't one of ours, so that means there was another ship, right? It can't be too far, if the body hasn't been eaten yet."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Spot:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Happy with her work(her best so far), Nerine goes about helping the crew, humming a cheerful halfling tune.

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine arrives in time to see the body being hauled to Avion's lab, and decides to leave it be for now. It's too early for a talk with that man anyway, so she gets back to work on fixing the ship.

Female Halfling Druid 3

"Seas take them if someone fell through that hole I had almost done.." Nerine grumbles as she rolls off of her cot near Olek's Gardern and heads off to find the source of the screams.

Female Halfling Druid 3

"Apologies Captain, but I had to know where you stood on the matter. Now I know you stand on the ship." ;)

"As for the pets, we will handle them in our own way on our own time. We can't let personal feuds effect our work. I in particular need to continue repairing the ship."

Willpower DM wrote:

DM: Are there things anyone wishes to do before morning? If so let me know so I can set that up. Otherwise, I plan to run something in the morning.

DM and Olek:
I believe Olek and I were planning on "cleansing the waters" of the undead under the cover of night.

"Captain" Devannis Pantera wrote:

With a great sigh, he leaned back in his seat, looking over the map. He had listened firmly, and had waited to voice his opinion, but perhaps too long - for Kai and Avion had left the meeting already.

He'd hoped the other would have had something to say, but instead continued on, to close it up for the day.

"Alright then. I agree with Kai's idea, however, I do believe we have a growing problem. I want you to keep an eye on our dear surgeon - and remind your peers that you can always come to me if you have something you want to address. This also applies to you - I'm readily available if you want to talk. Now then, I believe we'll keep our heading 'til we arrive about... here," he points to a location that would take a few days to obtain, "and we'll turn to put us going... here." He uses the bits of string and so forth to arrange a predestined course.

"Now then, if we recieve any information from scouting attempts, that would obviously change our course. If you find anything important under the water, Nerine and Olek, let me know - your mantas are large enough to carry me, right? If so, I would like to either accompany you or be shown, before we move any further on them."

He'd wink, and reseat himself. "Does anyone have any questions regarding this?"

"Olek did mention that the fish told him about something shiny below us, but he can tell you more about it. We may find out out more later tonight after we take we handle a small infestation that's on the ship's hull."

"As for the Surgeon, Olek and I can heal people as well. I've already spoken to Gunny and told him as much."

"The course seems fine Captain, so I have only one question. If it came down to it, would you side with Avion?"

Female Halfling Druid 3

The Defendant, Finn, says he had grog-boosting herbs on his profile and removed them when he gave them to Sunny. He's accused of "Having illegal herbs."

The Plaintiff, DM Willpower, says he has proof that Finn never had any kind of herbs.

This is the case of: Player vs DM.

This is.. The Gamer's Court.

Female Halfling Druid 3

Of course, all of this reminds me that I need to put Waveflier's stats up...

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nothing like making druids a real power in the world! Children of the Earth and Sea Unite!

XD

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine smiles at Olek as she pulls out her spear and twirls it lightly. He knew how fast she was, able to dodge blows others would need a shield to stop. She nods.

Secret Language:
"Tonight then. We'll take out the ones off deck first, so it will look like something from the sea got them. I can even have 'Flier jump out of the water to make splashes. We must take them out from below the water if possible, to minimize the chance of being caught."

@The Captain's Meeting
"No worries Captain, I believe the worst to be past us now. As long as the sea winds favor us, we should stay on course!"

Nerine does not take part of any drinking as the grog is passed out, preferring to keep her wits about her.

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine stares at the seeds with wonder in her eyes.

Secret Language:
"Yggdrasil was a powerful source of magic for our inland cousins. If even one of these does grow into a World Ash, we may very well have Natural Magic flow freely, without the need for blood-letting..."

"Which makes even more worried about Avion. Why did no one know our surgeon worshipped the God of Murder? How many of our crew might still be here today if he wasn't 'healing' them? Now he controls those foul things and is trying to coerce Gunny to follow in his footsteps! We need to make sure he doesn't get out of hand, even if that means we take out those things at night."

Female Halfling Druid 3

Nerine goes over to Gunny after Olek asks to meet her in the hull.

"Be wary of Avion, Gunny, and if you ever do not wish him to treat a wound, come find me."

Then she goes to meet Olek.

Secret Language(Olek & Willpower):
"What did you need to speak about with me?"

Female Halfling Druid 3

Working quietly not far away, Nerine calmly listens to Gunny's reply and waits...

A Drow for example is not impressed with a rebuking as say Gunny would be, and was. :)

I see I must now save Gunny from this dangerous path of Nerull, and show him the power of the Natural world.

Considering I cause the entire ship(or him, or the sails, or whatever) to glow with faerie fire, I think I can do so pretty easily.
