My first thought was of course, "OH %^&%!!! Everything I bought to date for pathfinder just became scrap paper..."
So I guess my first question is how much of my existing THOUSANDS of dollars invested in pathfinder are now worthless? Should I even be buying pathfinder at this point if its all going to become obsolete?
Will Pathfinder 1E be supported or will it become D&D 4th edition, i.e. non existent?
Will any of the existing material be usable in 2nd edition? Maps obviously yes, but what about Modules? Adventure Paths? Rule Books?
I'd like some kind of clarification as to weather this is a modification of 1st with existing material still relevant or a complete replacement rendering everything we've bought to date obsolete?
The Second thought was "Well, I guess there's no better time to try D&D 5th then now..."
If I have to invest in a new system and learn a new system that isn't compatible with all of my existing pathfinder stuff, what possible incentive is there to NOT switch to D&D?
Then of course there's Hero Labs, did that just become another obsolete investment?
lastly - whats the best way to sell a bunch of pathfinder 1st edition stuff?
