Liberty's Edge

Just received the dreams of the yellow king

Once again requiring me to sign for delivery ???

UK Royal Mail say this is required by the bar code that is placed on it by US postal service!

Luckily I was in today to receive as last time I had to drive 40min pay a parking fee to pick up what I was expecting to just post through my letterbox

Might also explain the slow delivery time if it's getting scanned everywhere

Just don't understand why, I have not asked it to be scanned nor tracked and neither has Paizo so why are the postal services forcing it

Interested in your response

Hi I received the first shipment of my subscription over a weeks ago as I had to sign for it in UK.

I sent a request asking if i had to sign for all now ? but got no answer.

this Order 4120700 was dispatched 3 days after my first but has yet to show up?

what do i do? as its not traceable? but should have been here by now?

Just received my notification of the next issue but still not recieved this order 4120700

The 3rd instalment of strange aeons Dreams of the yellow king has been available in my local game store Since 21st Nov, I think my copy of this issue has gone missing!

What is the missing items process?

Kind regards

So I am about to kick off this AP with me as DM and 2 players, we all agree we like heroic action and as such will be using 25 point builds and possibly start with 1 or 2 extra levels.

I am sure that this will counter the missing party numbers as whilst they might not have the additional actions per turn a larger group gets they will succeed actions more often and be able to take a few more hits.

Just looking for any advice from anyone else that's run a 2 player CoT campaign

Initial character choices seem to be

Half elf fighter/ summoner
Human monk

Cheers for any help

I have a subscription with you and have had every copy except three(at the time I cancelled the subscription for a 3 month period in between jobs) pathfinder issues delivered without a hitch until now
After being excited by getting the new Pathfinder RPG book I re subscribed to the new Council of thieves pathfinder and received the first issue today.

Unfortunately It seems to have absorbed far too much liquid during its journey to my home, the single cardboard wrap has not helped protected it at all
Here are some images I took just now third pic is probably the best at showing all the pages stuck together the just rip if i try to seperate them,

first pic.

second pic.

third pic.

order number 1226062

How do I go about a replacement copy and is there any way that international orders could be plastic wrapped before put in cardboard sleeves.

sent an email to subscriptions but maybe this is the right way to communicate as I see others on here too

Kind regards

A spell book is what makes a wizard a wizard you get completely rid of it and then they are sorcerers with better options.

Not really as a Sorcerer can cast the spells he knows as he needs them

so 4 x magic missle if he has 4 lvl 1 slots and knows magic missle

but a wizard would need to have brought to memory 4 magic missles taking up 4 slots for the day

As part of the game its just a thematic trapping having a spell book not really needed as you could easily explain that yes a wizard learns all spells but needs to spend time to organise them in his/her head and bring to the fore the ones he/she will expend that day.

If your wizard has a spell book he should always have a back up somewhere, that always foils pesky GMs.

Just starting RotRL with just two players and playing using an online tabletop to make it even more difficult, but have taken the following steps.

1. Higher average starting stats basically an array from 12, 13, 14 , 15, 16, 17 each
2. max hp at each level, helps with the survival rate of less bodies to attack
3. started them off at 2nd level but with two classes each
currently they chose Ranger/cleric and fighter/sorcerer
4. lack of rogue is a concern but both lower level cleric and sorcerer spells should help and maybe a few old school broken doors

I may introduce a fate point or similar rule to avoid any show stoppers as I would like to get them to enjoy the campaign and at least not end it after the first installment Burnt offerings

Also using a auto level system throughout adventures so that they maintain a level or so above required basically by inserting level up point in the adventures through out the campaign and work out the level of magic items at star of each book via the pre gens and distribut similar value through previous adventure book.

Hopefully they will enjoy and we can rinse and repeat process for next pathfinder campaign
