![]() I thought we had no idea that settlers were going to be coming? I thought all we knew was that we were supposed to stop banditry and raids? Cain facepalms as Redd loses his mind in shock. He whispers none to quietly in Adriana's ear. "Ok, I think we need to give Redd here a few courses in nobility politics. If he is really going to be our diplomat, I think we need to beat him into submission, err, condition first." Le Sigh. ![]()

![]() "(inserty diety name here) wants to make sure that you have not turned against him to another god before he returns his blessing to you. So, please tell how the symbol of his favor came to such a nasty resting place amongst the mites." Vs. Cael's, "Here's your filthy rubble of crumbling stone you worthless excuses for decrepit worms. Take it! (hurls it at the chiefs head). We only came along to save us the trouble of finding you, you retarded craven piles of Edi fodder." Turns to Edi. "LUNCH TIME!!!" ![]()

![]() Given the strange time nature of the RP, I'm suspecting that Cain could have shared the info he was able to glean with you Red. GM: I was planning on attempting to assist Red with his diplomacy in 2 ways, one, a diplomacy roll to help as you indicated, and second, "Inspiring word" which gives +2 to any skill check. Handle it however you want. (not that I expect it to matter much with Red's roll, but it's what I was planning to do before his post) Diplomacy help check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Wow, talk about fail..

![]() Cain isn't very trusting either, but the opportunity to examine the halls and perhaps avoid a war keep him from fingering his crossbow. But he takes mental notes on the layout and numbers of the kobolds he sees. He whispers back to Cael,"While I'm not as confident as Acalon, I think we've got a good chance of leaving on pleasant terms so long as we reach some kind of agreement. Kobolds have a code of conduct that they stick to, even if it's a little twisted." ![]()

![]() Cain dismounts almost lazily. He looks around the area and tries to get an idea of what they are in for. As his attention returns to the excited kobolds, he asks the others in low voice that won't carry. "How far in do you think we should go? Or would you prefer to have them come out to us?" Wonders if he can get any idea about the idol, the kind of kobold community that might have one, and what it might be worth to them with a knowledge religion roll? ![]()

![]() Cain tosses the idol back and forth in his hands. "Well it's gonna take a while for me to get the spells to give this a once over. I can pull double shift another night if need be." Cain yawns supremely and stumbles into the wrong tent. Backing out a moment later and apologizing profusely to Adriana, he manages to find his own tent this time and collapses. ![]()

![]() With numerous small cuts abounding and their attackers down in number, Cain murmurs something about where a certain Kobold might be before pointing at the tick and saying. "You have been weighed in the scales and found wanting." With that, light emanates from him and washes over those around him, but noticeably missing the tick and the other mite.

![]() "Mop, check. Bucket...bucket. Nope, no bucket. Who's got a finger I can shove in that open artery?" Cain says as between his palms an immaterial hand forms. "Wait, I think I have a spare hand with five available fingers. Those should do." Cain steps up behind Acalon and says. "Now Acalon, severed mite fingers don't stick in open arteries well, so try not get them bashed out huh?" Cain winks at Red as he places the glowing immaterial hand on Acalon's shoulder where the blood is pouring from. The hand seems to grasp the woulds, sealing them off. ![]() Somehow I think we were supposed to die. That was an increadible round of good dice for us. Now, who feels invincible? Let's go take on a demi-god or something. Cain simply closes his eyes and gets soaked as he is far too close to avoid the goo. He then scrapes off his face and sighs, "Where is a good lake when you need one." ![]()

![]() Cain rolls his eyes, then steps behind Cael and levels his crossbow over Cael's shoulder. Big target, but then he has to try to not hit Edi. "Stop breathing Cael, it's messing with my aim." Cain says just before firing. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 +size and other -whatever else.
"Ah thanks, you can breath again for a while.... Unless of course, you'd rather not." ![]()

![]() Cain nods to the Kobold. "Alright Miklek. If you think you can keep up, then stick close. I can guarantee you will start feeling better before too much longer. Or, you can stay here till we return with the Idol. Your choice." With that Cain moves over to take up position in the rear of the gathering crowd. "Alright, lets go." ![]()

![]() Cain finally gets his chance to hop down the hole to find... nothing happening. Seeing the Kobold as the only think left of interest in the room, he walks over to it and with a touch of his hand eases it a bit (lvl 0 stabilize). "Too bad I don't speak Draconic." He comments to no one in particular. He then addresses the Kobold. "Do you speak common? Or do I need to get a translator?" |
