Scarab Sages

I will be honest, the cleric has always had weird competition, though to find out that they have to compete with even the Wizard for party healer makes me laugh a lot. I'm also amused what other archetypes sneaked in with the recent batches.

What would I roll for the damage dice for a handy haversack if used as a melee improvised weapon?

What would I roll for the damage dice for a coin if used as a ranged improvised weapon?

Alchemist + Summoner: Robots/Golems !!!

Scarab Sages

Fire Bomb: Deal fire damage with your bombs.
Prerequisites: None

This one might seem weird, but I noticed the Cryptbreaker's bombs deal acid instead of fire.

Alchemical Wonders (Ex): Despite his alchemical creations being great he could never make more then the extracts, mutagens, bombs, and other expendable alchemical items... until now. He is always treated as though he has the Craft Wondrous Items. In addition, the Alchemist's formulas and extracts are always considered valid.
Prerequisites: Level 4

Alchemical Arms and Armor (Ex): A new breakthrough! No longer is it just simple magic trinkets, but he can craft weapons and armors. He is always treated as though he has the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat. In addition, the Alchemist's formulas and extracts are always considered valid.
Prerequisites: Alchemical Wonders discovery, Level 8

Alchemical Golem (Ex): The Alchemist has devised a means of creating golems. The Alchemist is always treated as though he has Craft Construct when making Alchemical Golems only. In addition, the Alchemist's formulas and extracts are always considered valid. The Alchemist still cannot make an embalmed Alchemical Golem.
Prerequisites: Alchemical Wonders discovery, Alchemical Arms and Armor discovery, Level 12

Alchemical Golem, Embalmed (Ex): Like the Alchemical Golem discovery, except the Alchemist can now make the embalmed version of an Alchemical Golem.
Prerequisites: Alchemical Golem discovery, Level 16

Random question: How many hours a day are sean et al. spending reading just this one board? I can barely keep up with the three threads for the classes I am most interested, let alone all the rest of them, and even then I don't do any more than skim the first line of most posts!

How are they doing it?

Spiders.

No, seriously, spiders. People who trawl the web looking for data that meets certain criteria. Very useful for data mining, tracking suspicious (or any) activity, anything. Spiders are dedicated employees who do absolutely nothing but read the internet and kick a report to someone else.

The worldwide spider web?

example #1 or example #2 or example #3 or example #4 or example #5 to how I am trying picturing my Shaman.

I am aware I guess to the most extent that Shamanism isn't limited to say Native American culture, but its where my mind wanders off to.

+1. I can see all your points, but this seems the most fitting.

Also, he (she?) should have some means for summoning spirits and ask questions.

Either Speak/Commune with Spirits is a new spell added or their could be a table that lists the different types of spirit talk from pre-existing spells.

Stone Tell = Stone
Commune with Nature = Flame/Wind/Water/Stone/Nature
Speak with Plants / Animals = Nature
Speak with Dead = Bones/Ancestor
Automatic Writing Augury = Lore (They do already got that at 1st level)
? = Battle
? = Life

or Perhaps each Spirit has its own language, like if you wanted to talk to a Stone spirit, you would need to know Terran.

If not any of the above then perhaps as a class feature they can get that allows them to constantly be able to talk to Undead or to Outsiders.

I've just lost a lot of reasons to play a Cleric if I can solve all those problems while being a more versatile caster. And get class features. And get a capstone.

Fudge it.

Now I hate the Shaman.

Understandable, the main thing about the class is its massive adaptability and versatility.

Did I miss a memo? When was the Druid not consider spontaneous in the past decade?

Because before switching to the Druid list, the Shaman could be an able replacement for the Cleric. Now that is much less possible due to lack of prevention spells. And Condition removal. Druids don't get Restoration at all =(

Go with the Life spirit. You get Lesser Restoration (2nd), Restoration (4th), and Greater Restoration (7th).

How do you feel about the Shaman being a Spontaneous caster?

Spontaneous caster like a Druid/Oracle? Plus it is partially Spontaneous via Spirit Magic.

Quote:
Honestly the Shaman is just looking like a Druid with Domains.

Correction, Revelations. Also Druids already have the option to go for Domains instead of an Animal Companion at 1st level.

after having built that half-orc destined guy, i gotta say destined is crazy good--i'd rate it almost up there with arcane (the "best" in my opinion).
Really? What makes it so good?

Destined Strike: Three times per a day as a free action, you may add 1/2 your bloodrager level to attacks.

Fated Bloodrager: +1 luck bonus to your AC and all your saving throws. Luck bonus increases by +1 at 8th and every four levels there after to a maximum of +4 at level 20 (Maybe typo, I think that should read +5, plus Luck bonuses stack with each other)

Certain Strike: You may choose to reroll one attack roll once during a bloodrage. This can be made after the roll but before the GM reveals the results.

Fate's Intervention: Once per day when an attack or spell would cause damage that would result in your death, you may attempt a DC 20 Will Save. If successful, you are reduced 1 HP instead; if you succeed and already had fewer than 1 HP than you take no damage instead.

Unstoppable: Any critical threats made against you only confirm if the second roll is a natural 20 on the die. Any critical threats you score are automatically confirmed.

Victory or Death: At 20th level you are immune to paralysis and petrifaction, as well as the stunned, dazed, and staggered conditions.

(I would say its got some nice perks)

Raging vitality is still a thing, so half of paragraph 2 is a bit... useless.
Has that actually been confirmed? I thought the jury was still out on rage-based feats?

Rage like the class feature, not Rage Power like the class feature. For all intended purposes Bloodrage counts as Rage. Extra Rage, Raging Vitality, and the like all count Bloodrage as Rage. Rage like rag-
