Background: Brand has lived most of his life on the forest trade island of Highport. From a young age he wished to see what the world had to offer as there was much to see from the trader's that came to Highport. Daydreaming aside he, like all of the people on the island, lived a harsh life. From sun up to sundown Bran worked with his father and other men from his town felling trees that would be used in ship construction. This all change a few ago years when Bran's village was attack in a pirate raid. While he had no martial prowess, the years of climbing and cutting trees down had turned his body into a lean, if weathered, form perfect for breaking bone and spliting slew. He took arms with the rest of the men of village and chased the raiders from its streets. However the pirates had levied a heavy price on his village, three men were dead and four others would be permeantly crippled for the rest of their days. One of the dead was Bran's father. This put an end to Bran's daydream and thoughts of the world beyond the Islands. He nows watches the shorelines while in the canopy of the forest and is always ready to take his father's trusty axe to the skulls of any pirates.
