Stumbled across this while Googling recently and figured I'd share it. I have no idea who the artist is or where this came from but I'd love to see more like it!

I found it on Roll20 here

Link to full resolution version

If anyone knows more about the artist and/or where I could find more like it, please reply! I really love it :)

I just had to share this small part of our game this week. Our group just found the "silver raven" figurines at the end of In Hell's Bright Shadow, Part 1 and learned how to use them. One of my players immediately decided that, when using these "birds" to send messages to one another, it should be called "tweeting". I can no longer enjoy running this campaign for this group of players. My entire campaign is now ruined. That is all.

Here's an interesting tidbit for any interested GMs. I was curious about the opera entitled "Huntress of Heroes" that Shensen was going to perform before her disappearance and the opera house was shutdown. It's also very relevant to the "Diva in Training" campaign trait in the Player's Guide.

I wasn't finding any flavor text for it in any of the Hell's Rebels books but I managed to find a synopsis about the likely story used as the basis of the opera. If you were also curious, check out the the story of Aolar, Lady of the Hunt on pages 30 and 31 of Book of the Damned, Volume 2: Lords of Chaos.

I'm currently preparing to start a Hell's Rebels campaign and between myself and one of my players, we've noticed what appears to be an odd discrepancy with the timeline as it relates to the Silver Ravens' status at the beginning of the Adventure Path.

As far as I have been able to quickly piece together through the six volumes of the Adventure Path, I would describe the Silver Ravens as having been officially disbanded in 4640 AR. The members Ba and Brakisi struggled on after House Thrune had succeeded in seizing control of Kintargo but they both died in 4644 AR with Brakisi bringing shame to the name of the Silver Ravens. With the final members killed or missing, Thrune was able to successfully redact any remaining traces of the group. A Song of Silver, page 5 even goes so far as to state "As the Hell's Rebels Adventure Path began, the Silver Ravens were all but forgotten".

However, the descriptions in the Player's Guide seem to be very much in conflict with the assumptions I'm drawing from the adventures themselves. For example, the "Meeting a Contact" campaign trait on page 9 reads, "When House Thrune established martial law a week ago, though, the Silver Ravens went dark. Rumors that their leaders have all been captured or killed circulate, and no sign of the rank-and-file members can be found." More text on page 16 reads, "Nothing has been heard from them or their leaders for weeks." So, the Player's Guide seems to make it sound like the Silver Ravens have been active until very recently rather than 75 years ago.

Can someone shed some light on how I should approach the timeline leading up to the beginning of the AP? I'd like to clarify some of this with my players in advance of our campaign starting if possible.

Thank you!

Hey guys! I've finished the next iteration of the spreadsheet! The workbook now includes enough functionality to keep track of your armies. Please take note that most of the army resources/tactics/abilities won't actually apply any of their modifiers to an army unless the effects are unconditionally active on the armies at all times. Everything else will have to be tracked manually, at least for now. Also, I don't currently have a way to make note of multiple Siege Engines within an army so the Consumption for those will have to be tracked manually, as well (although the one-time OM bonus will be calculated in). I also haven't taken the time, yet, to update the instructions sheet so let me know if you have any questions or something seems unclear. Sorry :(

Also, at the request of a few people, I'm going to start including a workbook that is compatible with Google Docs/Drive. The city sheets grew quite large and complex when I added the magic item tracking back in so the workbook is too large now for Google to convert. To fix this, I've simply removed some of the worksheets that are not currently being used and I've limited the number of city sheets included to 15 (the non-Google compatible versions still include 25 city sheets). I've also included an Open/Libre Office version of the workbook, although it's literally just a straight file conversion right now and errors are likely to exist until I get time to work on a proper conversion. At first glance, it looks like it should be working okay except that some cells have become unmerged and the worksheet protection has been removed. Let me know if you find any weirdness there and I'll try to look into it. Thanks!

Anyway, as for what's coming next, I think I'm going to focus on getting most, if not all, of the "optional" stuff from Ultimate Campaign added in (like Settlement Modifiers, Fame, etc). Let me know if you guys catch any bugs, errors, or anything else strange. I don't spend a ton of time testing these sheets so errors, large and small, are likely to crop up.

I hope you guys enjoy the new version. Thanks, again, for everyone's input!

Brad, do you have a copy of Ultimate Rulership? If not, I will gift you a copy if you are willing to add the rules to the spreadsheet. It seems the least we can do for all your hard work...\

Post here and let me know! :)

While I very much appreciate everyone's kind words and offers, I would feel weird accepting gifts for the spreadsheet, even if it was to help add to the sheet. It is very flattering and I appreciate the kind thoughts very much, although I'm going to have to decline the offer :) I didn't own a copy of Ultimate Rulership when you posted, however, I just purchased the PDF from the Legendary Games website just in case any of you kind, generous people were tempted to "do it anyway" :) Also:

While I wholeheartedly agree that Ultimate Rulership needs to be included, I would like to suggest to Brad that he finish the core Ultimate Campaign rules, and maintain that spreadsheet (in case there are further errors found), and once that's done do the Ultimate Rulership spreadsheet.

While maintaining two sheets is a little trickier than only having one, I'd hate to see the UCam sheet be ignored in favour of the expansion.

I have to say that I agree with Chemlak. I haven't had a chance to look over Ultimate Rulership, yet, but I'm definitely going to have to "finish" the Ultimate Campaign material before I can see myself getting started on incorporating the Ultimate Rulership material. I'm sorry to anyone who'd prefer a different set of priorities. Also, running Kingmaker has been pretty taxing on me as far as prep time so I haven't been able to work on the spreadsheet as much as I would like to but I should have the next update ready soon! :)

I've finished the next update I had in mind. The city sheets now determine and display each city's magic item slots. I'm not exactly in love with the way I've layed it out, mostly because it makes the city sheet so wide meaning it may get cut off on lower resolution displays. Honestly, though, it's the most effective way I could come up with to display the information I thought was necessary. If anyone else has suggestions on ways to tweak it, I'm happy to consider it.

Also, to fix the error Netarious pointed out, I've simply removed the effects of Food Shortages and Food Surpluses on consumption for now and simplified the Consumption calculation. Once I get the chance to do more with events in the workbook, I'll look into working these bonuses/penalties back in as appropriate.

It appears that I can't edit my original post to change the download links so I'm adding links to the new sheets below. I'll probably focus on getting armies and mass combat implemented next and post a "4.2" as soon as that's done.

I thought I'd post a follow up to let people know that I'm working on, and have posted, a "first draft" copy of the aforementioned spreadsheet that has been updated with the Ultimate Campaign rules. You can find my thread about it here along with download links:

Hey, guys. I wanted to post for anyone looking for a kingdom tracking spreadsheet that makes use of all the changes made in Ultimate Campaign. I've got a start on updating the sheet and you can download it here. I used Berhagen's wonderful sheet made for Kingmaker (later updated by Zoetrope) as a base for my sheet. I've asked Berhagen if I could update his sheet and this is posted with his permission.

My group is about to start book two of Kingmaker so, in my rush, I've had to ignore anything related to mass combat for now (as such, Defense bonuses may not be 100% accurate everwhere, although Settlements should be okay), settlements do not currently list slots for magic items, I've stripped out some of the special features (like Zoetrope's Event/Weather generators), and many of the "Optional" rules from Ultimate Campaign have yet to be implemented. Now that I have the minimum spreadsheet I'm needing for my personal campaign, I'll start working on finishing what I've started and I'll be sure to post updated versions in this thread.

For anyone interested in a (nearly) complete list of changes I've made, here is a list for you. Anything labeled as "personal preference" is merely a cosmetic change that I've made to suit my own tastes that you may or may not notice or appreciate.

List of all changes:
Ultimate Campaign Changes:
Added the Consort Leadership Role
Added the Heir Leadership Role
Added and adjusted several Buildings
Added and adjusted several Terrain Improvements
Wardens who are Vacant now only reduce Loyalty by 2 instead of by 4
Generals now apply their Vacancy Penalty to Loyalty instead of Stability
A Grand Diplomat vacancy no longer prevents Promotion Edicts
Renamed Royal Assassin to Royal Enforcer
Renamed Festivals to Holidays
Added an Income field to the Kingdom and Overall sheets. This represents the bonus BP earned from things like Mines, Quarries, and Sawmills during the income phase. Currently, this only tracks the normal bonuses from these terrain improvements and bonuses from Foundries and the like will have to be handled manually.
Adjusted the minimum and maximum settlement Base Values
Arenas no longer have an effect on Consumption penalties from Holidays
Updated list of Continuous Events and renamed Ongoing Events to Continuous Events (the latter is personal preference)
Updated the field descriptions for all Leadership Roles

Modifications:
Changed the "Armies" for consumption box to "Other" and made the field editable. This is mostly because I don't have any work done yet on the army sheets and I wanted the box to allow manual adjustments for things like Stockyards.
Redid the way the "Major Buildings" list works on the City Summary worksheet. It now lists the five most expensive buildings in each city
Tweaked the kingdom alignment fields to prevent invalid combinations like "Good Evil"
Tweaked attribute fields for Rulers and Spymasters so you can make them blank without hitting delete. It weirds me out to hit delete on things (personal preference)
Tweaked the way a few formulas work, especially in regards to vacancies and edicts (personal preference)

Formatting:
Renamed "Size" to "Population" on city sheets (personal preference)
Changed colors slightly (personal preference)
Removed the conditional formatting on the Edicts dropdowns on the Overall page so they weren't "hidden" when there was a relevant vacancy. I just didn't really like it (personal preference)

I plan to do the following as I find time to work on updating the sheet further.

To do list:
Add the (updated) magic item slots back to the settlement worksheets
Add (updated) building summaries back to the settlement worksheets
Add (updated) army and mass combat rules back into the spreadsheet
Add Settlement Modifiers to the settlement worksheets
Add the "Optional Rules" from Ultimate Campaign
Add a way to override the district count for settlements to allow for cities to spread out prematurely
Update the settlement maps to the new rules (maybe)
Update/add the Event Generator back in (maybe)
Add the Weather Generator back in (maybe)
I'll likely catch things here and there as I go back over the rules a few times that can be added/tweaked.
I'm open to suggestions for things to add/change about the sheet! Please let me know if you have any thoughts.

I'm also considering adding information from the Book of the River Nations as well as Ultimate Leadership after the bulk of the "core" rules are added/updated. I'm also working on some printable quick reference sheets that can be used as a game aid to give an easy way of sorting through the massive amount of rules for kingdom building. I'll try to post here if I make any progress on those, as well.
