About Boram Pebblecatcher
Growing up on the streets of Edme in Galt, Boram would beg, borrow, and steal just to make ends meet. He never knew his parents, having been orphaned as a baby, but the Final Blades of Galt loomed large over his imagined parents - true revolutionaries who fought hard only to be doomed by the blades.
After witnessing countless citizens being rounded up by the dreaded Gray Gardeners, Boram started a small make-shift library on the street, carrying around a cart loaded with revolutionary materials and essays. When rumors of seditious materials being distributed throughout the town started being whispered among the masked faces of the executioners, Boram knew he would have to make a quick exit.
No one knows who started the fire that would eventually ravage his library cart - his only sanctuary - but when he woke up that night in the alley near his destroyed belongings, he was being surrounded by Gray Gardener and commoner alike. In a lucky moment, he was able to sneak away. When a bola wrapped around his legs and he tripped to the ground, he was face-to-face with his end. He centered himself and began praying to Shelyn, only to have a tortured spirit of Edme enter his consciousness. It told him that he would be safe and gave him powerful strength to rip the bolas free from his feet. As he ran out of town the spirit told him that its name was Pebblecatcher, and that he knew Boram would grow into a great adventurer one day.
Boram made his way to Absalom to join the Pathfinder Society, and catalog items of intrinsic value to those who need wise words of encouragement or noble truths in times of trouble. His impetuousness and thirst for knowledge may get him into trouble at times, but his ability to channel wronged souls - who yearn to break free from idle non-existence, and begin to help others - has provided him an escape route many times.
