This is an attempt to make a list of the best miniatures that we can use to represent the characters involved in the Kingmaker Adventure Path. As you can see I don´t have the last three adventures so I can´t make any sugestions about them. What do you think? STOLEN LAND
RIVERS RUN RED
VARNHOLD VANISHING
How many ability score points do you give to your players in E6? Is it ok to go with the standar 15? I ask this because in the outline of E6 myth-weavers

Now that it has been anounced, do you mean Carrion Crown? (Say yes, please say yes! :D)
For the persons that have played with this class, what is the role of the summoner in a 4 person party? I mean, what is the summoner doing while the eidolon is on the front lines? Does he becomes a controler or buffer spellcaster? Is he good at it? Or is he so dependant to the eidolon that you send him far enough so that he doesn't fall and sends your precious critter to his home plane?
Brogue the Rogue wrote: Spell Trigger: Spell trigger activation is similar to spell completion, but it's even simpler. No gestures or spell finishing is needed, just a special knowledge of spellcasting that an appropriate character would know, and a single word that must be spoken. Spell trigger items can be used by anyone whose class can cast the corresponding spell. This is the case even for a character who can't actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin. The user must still determine what spell is stored in the item before she can activate it. Activating a spell trigger item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity Thanks, I didn't remembered that.
Tha cure spells appear on the witch spell list so I pressume that she can use wands of CLW but I need some clarification: 1) Can she use a CLW wand even if it was crafted by a cleric just because it is on her spell list(like the artificer in 3.5)? 2) If not, does she need to invest in item creation feats for this kind of items or look for someone who sells arcane versions of these wands?
Also I have a very big question because I have never done this before: How do you resolve combats without minis? This is important because I believe that the use of minis in this AP would impede the suspension of reality needed for a horror game (do you agree?). I think that melee combat is easy, but what happens with ranged combat or spells? Melee: "There are two werewolves attacking you, one misses and the other bites you." :D Ranged: "I throw my alchemist bomb so that the splash hits both skeletons but not the cleric and the paladin." O_o Spells: "The lich casts Prismatic Spray and all of you are close enough to get hit." O_o What am I missing?
(Sorry, I don´t know what went wrong with the first thread) I´ve been unable to run ANY AP for many reasons, be it that the rules require to much commitment from my players (KM) or the story is not appealing to us (SD, LoF). WE REALLY WANT TO PLAY CARRION CROWN!!! Problem is that I have zero experience running horror themed adventures and I don´t want such a nice AP to end in a "Hack and Slash" game. I´m looking for something more vivid than a book like Heroes of Horror. I´m listening to the stories in the Pseudopod website and they are great but I don´t know how to transmit that kind of feeling in a Pathfinder game. Do you have any suggestions?

I´m going to suscribe for this AP, but I´m a little dissapointed, I was under the assumption that the players would face Tar-Baphon at the end of the adventure or we at least would have his stats to continue the campaign like in other AP. Spoiler:
We had an idea of the stats of Kazavon in CotCT or Xotani in LoF Now that I know that there is no chance at all for this to happen, is there any reason to buy a Tar-Baphon miniature?
I LOVE TO SEE THE ICONICS IN EVERY AP AND MODULE!!! Why? Because they have intresting backstories? No, not really, althoug I love their stories. Because they help me introduce the game to new players? No, even at 1st. level some of them are to complex for the newbies to use right away. Because they are playable PCs? HELL NO!!! Then why? Why do I love them so much? Because they are the very first gift that the Paizo team gave us. SC, AoW an ST were awesome adventures, so it was logical to create a similar product when the Dungeon magazine died: welcome APs! We needed a new world for these new adventures, so we got Golarion and the PF Campaign Setting. A lot of people had invested in 3.5 and would not make the switch to 4ED. so it was good business to support and improve that system: PFRPG was born. But the iconics are another thing. In the words of James Sutter:"...when we sat down to develop the iconics for Pathfinder, we knew going into it that what we came up with needed to be more than just easy art reference. These iconics needed to live up their name and represent our world, our ethos, and our whole idea of what gaming is about". So, to me, the iconics represent the first time that Paizo recognized not the size of the wallet of its customers (like other companies did), but the voice of the gamers that have faith in them, in their ethos, and in their whole idea of what gaming is about. Every time that I see two pages devoted to the iconics, to me, it´s like the people at Paizo are saying: "we know that all of you have a voice, and from may 7, 2007 to this day, we are listening".
Hi, I have a couple of questions about both the Adventure Path and the Pathfinder Fiction Subscriptions: 1) I've already signed for the Fiction suscription so, if I sign up now for the AP suscription, will I get the Pathfinder Advantage for my fiction books? 2) How many days do I have left to suscribe so that the first AP that I get is AP#31? Is it march 31? 3) In september, when the AP #38 and the fist book are sent, how can I combine the shipments so they both arrive at the same time? 4) Do I save money in shipping costs for combining my shipments? 5) Has there been any problems with your dealings with mexican orders (products lost, longer than usual delivery times, customs problems, etc)? Thank you for your time.
I was the DM and we were playing "A dark and stormy knight" in some outdoor tables at the university. In a table very close to us, two friends were playing Magic: the Gathering and one of them was playing very bad and not paying attention to their game so the other one was very upset. Me : So you are in a dark corridor and in front of you is a wooden door. The Fighter : I open the door and walk into the room with sword in hand. Me : As you enter the room you hear a scream that is so terrifying that it freezes your blood... MtG player: "IT´S YOUR TURN YOU A$$H01E!"

You are talking about the Museum, and although I would be VERY HAPPY to work there, the Institute is another thing. And yes, it´s freaking awesome :D
Not quite as close as I would like, mostly because our samples aren´t always as good as I need or they don´t even come from the same type of animal. I said "prehistoric animals like mamoths" but we also have samples of hadrosaurus, sharks, etc. About the other question: yes it does, and with results on par with other tests (like carbon-14)
Shane LeRose wrote: What if the Eidolon couldn't act independently? Rework the class to be a Mechanist or something? That way they'd have to spend a turn controlling their pet as opposed to casting a spell and attacking in the same round. I dislike intentionally nerfing someone, but the Eidolon as is gets out of hand rather quickly. I really, REALLY dislike that. I think that the funniest part is to control two characters and, having played the ranger beastmaster build of 4th edition I find quite frustrating to divide my actions between my ranger and my beloved pet. Many times I´ve found myself just letting the less useful one to sit far away from the fight while the other does his job.
I´m studying the interaction between these two substances to see if we can correlate the nature of this interaction whith some of the caracteristics of the specimen, like its gender o how old it was. This study is useful because you require very little of the sample and the technique could be applied later to human bones and make it easier for the detectives or the anthropologists to identify human bodies. We work in conjunction with the INAH in Mexico (INAH = Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia or National Institute of Anthropology and History).
Thanks a lot!
I have still one more question for all of you? Does anyone has read/played the Society Scenarios? Nobody talked about them. Are they like mini-modules or what?
I want to purchase about $200 in Pathfinder products, now that Paizo announced the 35% discount on PDF files. The problem is that almost all of the books and adventures have four or five stars, so it´s realy hard to decide which ones to buy. I can rarely play (once a month if I´m lucky) so I don´t want to be disapointed purchasing a book with tons of statistics or new spells or PrCs (I´m looking at you WotC). I love the Adventure Paths (already own RotRL and CotCT), but mostly because I´ve read them like novels. So, any sugestions (like a top-ten) on which modules/chronicles/companions/scenarios are THE MOST FUN, FROM A READER'S PERSPECTIVE? Thanks for your help
I'll like to build a human character using the Beta rules that captures the feeling of the Golgari Guild (druid-like spellcasters that also practice necromancy because they use the cycle of life-death to their advantage). Two spells that he should have (flavor-wise) are Entangle and Animate Dead. No PrC, just the core clases. First I thought of a multiclass druid 10/sorcerer(undead bloodline)10 (Nature Bond, Wild Shape, Grasp of the Dead). Next is a cleric 20 with the plant and death domains.
Any sugestions? Which would make a better character? Or are there better options? I also considered a sorcerer (fey bloodline) for the Entangle spell, but I think the bloodline powers don´t go with the concept. |
