Usually CR 1 (GM call for large or unusual petitioners). Each petitioner has additional traits based on the home plane. Most can become outsiders if they survive or do enough deeds. For example, neutral evil types who go to Abaddon become the “hunted”. They look identical to the bodies they had in life and are stalked and eventually consumed by the daemons that lust for souls. A hunted that survives long enough eventually warps and twists into a daemon. They get DR 5/— and fast healing 1 (helps make the hunt fun, for the daemons that is). Two page spread, awesome art. ![]()
![]() You are ambitious. I hope everything works out well for you with this project. I like the fact that you’ve included the various other OGL PF publishers in your playtest. My first question is, should you add the trademark symbol to the various RPGs you mention. Also, is Paizo okay with you referencing Golarion and if yes I believe even in a playtest document you would want to reference their ownership of any terms that are closed content and your permission to use them. Your OGL did list many books from which you drew Open Content but I don’t believe that covers Closed Content or the copyrighted names of RPGs. My second thought is, is the setting really going to include nuclear tech, quantum tech, droids, etc. in addition to magic, samurais, psionics, and spiritual magic? Because that is a lot of stuff. I quickly read over the playtest document and a few things jumped right out at me. The many skill rank requirements for the majority of feats is going to make getting those feats a real pain. The Core Rulebook rarely uses skill ranks as a prerequisite unless it really fits with the feat (like Master Craftsman). The weapons on page 16 are too powerful. A martial one-handed weapon that does 1d10 damage and criticals on an 18-20 is extremely better than a longsword. The katana is much better than a bastard sword. And the taiaha lists two sets of damage even though it is a two-handed weapon. Also, the special bonus to hit and damage for the wakizashi and the katana doesn’t make sense to me. Simply carrying both weapons gives additional bonuses? Why? I like the new races but will have to carefully read the mechanics over before commenting. Racial hit dice combined with race feats sounds like a sound way to represent monster PCs at first glance. ![]()
![]() I am not disappointed at all with the APG. I'm good with everything in it so far. We've used the race variant rules, cavalier, inquistor, witch, drunken monk, barbarian variant, ranger variant, spells, magic items, new combat maneuvers, and traits for 4 levels so far and everything adds depth to the game and nothing seems broken or out of whack. I haven't enjoyed D&D this much, or a book this much, since the PHB 3.0 came out in 2000. The APG is a great RPG book. ![]()

I'm just glad you were willing to take the time to post them, I was dying to see the list. Thanks. Here's the two I saw that weren't on the list. I tried to get the right spelling:
If I remember correctly, the aruamorox is a mammal with many limbs that has some metallic gold features and likes gold. ![]()
![]() I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but here are the pages for the charybdis and scylla. They tie together. monster spoiler: The charybdis is CR 13 and can be summoned by the scylla which is CR 16 using summon monster 8. Scary combo. ![]()
![]() I read somewhere years ago (maybe AD&D 1E) of Summon Monster sometimes nabbing adventurers. Imagine starting the game as a summoned monster fighting as a pawn for a wizard! Maybe something goes wrong and the spell doesn't return the PCs home when it ends and they are stuck. Depending on how the battle goes, they could have the wizard who summoned them to deal with or his enemies. Or maybe both teleport out, leaving the PCs as fellow strangers gathered together in a unknown land after just fighting for their lives in a conflict they don't even understand. ![]()

I like Damascarran (plural Damascarri) for my stabacadbra class, it doesn't mean anything, just sounds neat. I actually like magian much better then magus. Plus, you can have two magians instead of two magi which is much easier for me to remember. ![]()
![]() Here's a link to all the companies that publish Pathfinder products (under the P heading): You already have all the rules you need to get started world building with PF. The GameMastery Guide is especially useful. As you choose specific things you want to add (for example perhaps construct like ironborn or more robust firearm rules) you can check out the various publishers and find rules you'd like to add to your world. ![]()
