High folks, I have been struggling with some mental health stuff which has drawn a lot of energy away from things like these games. I hope to be back on the boards more regularly and playing again soon. If you don't mind being kind of patient I do want to continue playing but if it feels a little too disruptive I understand. Let me know.

@Nate Lange - Oh man I really don't want you to feel like I'm preventing you from applying. Your character concept seems awesome. I figured since you were heading towards mystic theurge we would be different enough. If it is okay with MJ I can submit a different character.
@Mj - Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'll switch him over. Shouldn't change too much in the fluff.
Sounds fair to me, i'll get rid of tremorsense, doesn't make sense if it's a wombat anyway. replace grab with bull rush.
The ability scores were based loosely off of the spinosaurus, which is what I was originally going to use. I took the strength and dex down a little, and removed an extra natural attack. I'm open to tweaking though. Vermin companions seem strange to me since they're mindless but if that's my only choice I'll take it.
Would you accept this as an animal companion?
Badger Mole Companions
Starting Statistics : Size Medium; Speed 20 ft., burrow 20 ft.; AC +2 natural armor; Attack 2 claws (1d6); Ability Scores Str 17, Dex 13, Con 15, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 6; Special Qualities Dark vision 60 ft., tremorsense 60 ft.
7th-Level Advancement : Size Large; AC +3 natural armor; Attack 2 claws (1d8+grab); Ability Scores Str +8, Dex -2, Con +4.; Special Attacks rend (2 claws, 1d8), grab
The other option is to just spam the light cantrip all the time , but that seems weird thematically for a dwarf.
hmmm, none of the animal companions on the PRD have darkvision. There are a few on d20pfsrd but they are all bugs, and that doesn't really feel right with my concept. I was originally going with a spinosaurus because I was looking for a fighting companion. My ideal would be something like a badger or a mole but I also need it to be combat viable.
Side note, I'm not a dedicated healer but I'm sure I can find room in my budget for a wand.
As Ashak prepares to attack the eidolon again it disappears. Quickly he turns around and prances across the ring to get behind Nathaniel. He spins and flips striking at the other knife master while he's distracted by erin.
"Nathaniel, it's good to see you're still standing!"
Perfomance Combat (critical): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
I think I'm scrapping my idea for a new one that I really like. Basically a little boy living out his fantasy as a knight. He's gonna be a little kid with a bucket helmet, trash-can-lid-shield, and wooden sword, maybe a little red cape. No special abilities but absolutely unbelievable/unachievable ability scores.
Ashak follows right behind Semsephiel, flips both knives, switches hands and slices in an X at his opponents chest.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Damage (pulled): 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 4
Both kukri find flesh and Ashak quickly brings them back to a defensive position, wary of semsephiel's claws. "And mine as well."
Performance Combat (multiple hits): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 Blood dripping from his knives Ashak makes a show of tossing his blades in the air while flipping and spinning about his foe, the blood arcs through the air before splattering across the ground. He glances back at Erin. "It would seem our queen has been struck a mighty blow, but she'll back on her feet, and more determined than ever."
As far as I know phantom steeds can't attack.
Ashak nods to his ally and leaps forward, somersaulting past Clyde the dancer rises on his other side.
He winks at Clyde and smiles wide. "Look behind you big fella" As he speaks Aphrashai appears on the strongman's other flank. Ashak holds his knives out wide and spins, landing in a crouch and strikes upwards. false flanker
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Ashak's knife flashes at Clyde's neck but the Strongman is quick too and twists to take it on his shoulder. The knife leaves a bloody but superficial wound, to an experienced onlooker it is clear that Ashak was aiming for blood not pain.
Perfomance combat - first blood
Ha, yes I meant Semsephiel. He rolled a natural 20 bluff so as far as Ashak is concerned his name is Clyde. A hideous laughter on him would go a long way. Can Aprashai implant Ashak with a false flanker before combat begins? A full attack sneak attack would be real good for winning and performance.
We are easily the least impressive looking team here." Ashak makes a *this high* sign with a grin. "That gives us an advantage in terms of pleasing a crowd. The Clydes are the most impressive physical specimens. Taking one of them down would make us look skilled indeed, assuming we do it with style."
I think our biggest advantage here is going to be Aphrashai. The best will save around is a +3 I think. Most importantly though we want to be impressive.
