I know this thread was months ago but I just moved to Portland and was shocked at how little PFS was available. I'm SE and There's nothing over here?

I won a game in the lottery that I put a low number on and I found a event I would much rather go to and it won't let me sign up for it. My only reason for buying a ticket was to try some starfinder stuff and I put 4 on every one and got the one thing I didn't absolutely want. Now I just want to try and salvage the weekend and look for some other things I might enjoy. Does anyone know how I can give up my spot for "Blood In the Water" on Friday morning 8am -1pm?

I've seen this question come up, so I was looking for an answer as to why there was no clarification in the rule book saying "instead" like there was for other rules. I typed in "Overhand chop" into the search and these were the first threads I found that were talking about my question. The evil monk answered my question. = Win

The overhand chop doesn't say instead of 1.5 dmg with two hander. Wouldn't it be 1.5+(x2) otherwise isn't the archtype really weakened by the loss of armor training. Trading it for only a 2 bonus dmg? ...2 dmg??? that way it's +8 dmg rather than +2, now +8 is worth losing armor training.

Could somebody check my math regarding this Ex Power

I have a 3 level fighter with strength 20

At 3rd level, when a two-handed fighter makes a single attack (with the attack action or a charge) with a two-handed weapon, he adds double his Strength bonus on damage rolls.

I have a 3 level fighter with strength 20

So the damaage with a Two handed great sword would be

2d6 + 5 (str) + 5 (Double) +5 (x1.5 two handed weapon) = 2d6+15?

OR is it 2d6 + 5 (str) + 5 (Double) +2 (x1.5 two handed weapon from the natural str bonus) = 2d6 +12

It's +17 your normal attack from a two hander adds +7 overhand chop adds +10 to that. Overhand chop does not say, (instead of the normal 1.5) just further down the page in the same rule book by a few lines it says "Greater power attack" that is clearly defined as "instead of and not in addition to "the X1.5 from power attack" why were rules worded one way and then another a few lines apart? They weren't, they are both as written.

This is my first PaizoCon and I have little idea what is going on or how I am supposed to sign up for events. There is a lottery, and it seems that I am supposed to put in for what I want to play and how bad 0-4. So if you want to play put 4 and if you don't want to play 0? If you put 4 for something you want more than something else and say put a 3 then you might not get in to either, that's not so bad I'll just go and do a PFS event, well it looks like there are only 6 seats in the time slot for the event I want what if 7 people sign up for it? Why isn't everything in a lottery? My girlfriend is my "buddy" and we want to play together on everything, if I win a lotto does she as well? It allows me to sign up for events that will only hold 6 players as well, should I sign up for those incase I don't win any lottery choices? If I sign up for those and win a lotto should I cancel the event sign up? My buddy is also able to sign up for different events than me, should we both just try to get into the same stuff and make our preference sheet identical?

Skaraker, how did you download the PDF and read it? It's not available for another 10 days.
