Toshiro, on the other hand, perks at the mention of the Bandersnatch.

Toshiro got a ring that lets him speak English, Latin, German, and arabic.

"Yes, we did. It took one of our mules for its meal, and we thought it had killed one of our friends. Luckily it was just a misunderstanding."

The caravan master's eyes widen in alarm, and he shouts in Arabic to the other Bedouins: BE WATCHFUL! THESE TRAVELERS LOST A MULE TO THE BANDERSNATCH!

The nomads seem to startle at this revelation, and scan the surrounding dunes nervously, securing their camels and making signs to ward off evil...

The caravan master asks Ihrin: Hal shahidt bandersnatch?

Arabic:
Say, did you happen to encounter a bandersnatch?

Mwikali looks at the silks and leathers gathering components for her stuffed Bear she has been working on.

"I love Bedouins, they are a peaceful people known for their wares' She says to the others as she did not know if they had read or traveled around the northern lands of Africa!

The Bedouins graciously give Mwikali silk spun in China and leather scraps ideal for her craft as a gift, apparently feeling generous after prosperous trade in Egypt.

The caravan master nods in understanding, and leads Ihrin to a camel with saddlebags filled with aromatic coffee beans.

Huna alquhwat alty tatlibuha! khudh ma tasha' kahadiatan mny!

Arabic:
Here is the gaveh you seek, pretty lady! As much as you like, take as a gift from me!

At around noon, the expedition encounters a caravan of Bedouins with camels going west toward Marrakech. There are some two dozen of these desert nomads, and twice as many camels, laden with trade goods--silk from China, saffron, frankincense, ambergris, salt, and other commodities. They greet the expedition and offer to show their wares...

Lord Perpireen McGibel wrote:

"Arr! but I had a bath the other mouth, so I did."

And again he falls over in peels of laughter.

Bwahahahahahaha!!

Three cheers for the Little Lord! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

The Bedouins report that they were in Marrakech a few days ago, and that the Emir was planning a great feast to celebrate some victory or other, which was to include several days of gladiatorial combats in the arena, with the dreaded behir Boombada featured as the Emir’s champion...

Lord Perpireen McGibel wrote:

A little drunk Lord P is recanting a tail of him and an Amorous Trollmaid.

"So with that she picks up the horse, slings it over her shoulders, saying. Well if you wan't ride him I will and walks off.

He falls over in peels of laughter.

The Bedouin raiders regard Lord Perpireen with a mixture of amusement and supernatural trepidation, careful not to invoke the Fey Lord’s wrath. They laugh uproariously at his antecdotes and keep their wide eyes fixed on his every movement.

Altin Karela wrote:

Altin greets the Bedouins reasonably warmly, hoping that his nomadic cultures mores and rules of etiquette translate across to these wanderers. He offers drink, and shares what general news he has, although he doesn't mention any of the party's activities specifically. He also enquires after whatever news of the road the Bedouins might be able to share.

Activating luck for however many rounds it takes.

Also, just realised I haven't levelled, so still using 5th level stats. I'll get that done asap.

The Bedouin nomads take to Altin warmly, regarding him as a nomad chief. They admit that they are raiders and bandits who make their living by extorting goods and coins from merchant caravans crossing the desert, but offer peace and friendship to the Desert Jackals, and even offer to share what food and drink they have on hand.

The Bedouin nomads behave themselves around the Desert Jackals, seeing that they are armed and dangerous individuals...

Remounting on the large bay stallion, Wulfgar leads the intrepid adventurers into the desert toward Marrakesh, keeping a keen eye out for trouble,

does Wulfgar notice the Bedouin?

Wulfgar cannot miss their caravan of twelve camels and robed riders armed with scimitar and bow...

Not long after the Desert Jackals depart Safi, about an hour into their desert trek, to be exact, at around 10 AM, a band of robed Bedouin nomads mounted on camels, a dozen altogether, appears on the horizon about a hundred yards east of the adventurers... They pause and watch the Desert Jackals from a distance... It is clear that they are armed with scimitars and bows....

Too rich for my blood, I spent most of my money on spells. Sigh

The Old Bedouin also has 10 Greek fires (alchemist’s fire) for sale... Those are cheap compared to magic wands and scrolls (though also far less powerful, of course)...

Alchemist’s Fire

Price 20 gp; Weight 1 lb.

DESCRIPTION

Alchemist’s fire is a mix of several volatile liquids that ignite when exposed to air. You can throw a flask of alchemist’s fire as a splash weapon. Treat this attack as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet.

A direct hit deals 1d6 points of fire damage. Every creature within 5 feet of the point where the flask hits takes 1 point of fire damage from the splash. On the round following a direct hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 points of damage. If desired, the target can use a full-round action to attempt to extinguish the flames before taking this additional damage. Extinguishing the flames requires a DC 15 Reflex save. Rolling on the ground provides the target a +2 bonus on the save. Leaping into a large body of water or magically extinguishing the flames automatically smothers the fire.

CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Skill(s) Craft (alchemy) DC 20.

Passers by give the Alanqilis wide berth, having heard that it is haunted by vengeful spirits...

In Arabic; There she is! The Eel! She’s haunted by the ghosts of Christian nuns raped at sea by those pirates Captain Barak and First Mate Toruko! Beware!

The Bedouin nods in response to Wulfgar’s query, replying in Arabic: Yes! Emir Mohammad, who dwells in the palace at the south edge of Anfa, has declared a bounty of six thousand golden shekels for the head of Boombada, and twice that to whosoever can bring him the monster, subdued and captive, in cage or chains! But who in all the world is mighty enough to accomplish such a task!? I tell you, he slew half-a-dozen men with a single bolt of lightning from his toothy maw!
