Played this recently and the main issue is that it uses the "Craft" skill. One of the main skills PFS does not allow.
Also, since we can't use things like, new player boons and lower tiers do not have enough prestige to recover and resurrect, this is rolling to TPK or flee encounters.
The outcome from playing this is, I lost a lot of respect for a skilled GM for running it with new players. I brought a player and we throw the system I just taught him right out the window. Remember that conversation about armor, stealth, perception prior to encounters, making decisions, yeah, ignore all that.
Secondly, WTF with the payout at the end. Even losing the race this is a splat scenario with DR and reduced weaponry. Pay the players for their misery at least!
Easy fixes, change the last boss so he can be negotiated with, remove DR from last encounters, allow perception and stealth to be factors. Removing armor could change stealth a lot.
