It could be said that you can try it, making the crit, but then it auto passes the Fortitude save. Saying this only as a thought experience if it becomes significant in the future. Sometimes, as GMs, we stablish precedents to move along that could bite us in the ass later. ![]()

His hair reaches his shoulders, is black, turning to grey, with pronounced receding lines. His beard and mustache are full but trimmed some and show much more grey than his hair. His nose is large and hawk-like, even if broken and bent in at least two places. His eyes are black and his eyebrows are bushy. His skin is brownish and tanned, appearing as coarse as leather, with his arms showing quite a few scars. His clothes are simple. His trousers are baggy but tight at his ankles, which are protected by hard boots and leather greaves. He wears a tunic with short sleeves and on top of it a strikingly purple blanket scarf, as well as old arm guards. "I rreserrve ze worrd 'frriend' forr verry few beoble." Between me and the shifter, I believe we have damage and even crowd control covered, specially with the Oracle hasting us. Just so you have an idea, we've lost a twf rogue and it did not make any difference in combat. So, having more combat power will not give us much. What we desperately need is knowledge and out of combat skills. Best case scenario we'd be looking for a bard, investigator or wizard imo. About horror themes, I have the opinion that the less horror themed and focused our characters are the more space we have to feel scared and impressed about what jumps at us. We already have a horror themed character as the shifter. Another one would be too much. ![]()

About the proposed characters, however, I'd really prefer a character with good knowledge skills. I guess the slayer could be that, perhaps, but I don't think we need more combat prowess. I really don't like the summoner idea. It doesn't give us the skills and lacks versatility imo, but the worst part for me is the monster body horror theme. We already have Tassa and she is more than enough. We are in a place that every thing we've found wants to kill us. Aside from stepping into toes, I don't possibly see how we can trust the addition of another player focused on monsters. As a father of two, the idea of birthing monsters and having a monstrous baby eidolon irks me a lot, and I'm not someone easily made uncomfortable, quite the opposite. This is, again, only about the character, not the player. So, so far, I'd vote for the slayer. In fact, I'd rather continue as 3 instead of adding the summoner. ![]()
