![]() Hello all, I am building a Rot Warden Druid for a new campaign and was pretty let down by the hurdles vermin animal companions have to deal with. Not only do Vermin companions have zero feats until 4th level with a boost to Int; they need to be 12th level minimum to unlock feats they are physically capable of with GM permission. Most animal companions have 9 different item slots for magic items, vermin have 2. Ultimately is it better for me to go with the ISMC Vermin Domain? Would it be worth taking the animal companion if I gave up my human bonus feat to get the +2 Int from 'Eye for Talent'? If so, which of the vermin companions are a good option if I plan to wildshape often? Thanks for any advice. ![]()

![]() After reading about the Digmaul I was excited it was added as an animal companion but then swiftly disappointed in its stats barely matching the creature's stat block. It was as if someone was told it was "like the small cat with a tail attack" and they did no research. With the permission of my DM I have altered the animal companion's stats as a silvercat variant. Please let me know what you think of the changes and how you might improve upon them. The idea was to be stronger than the small cat but on par or weaker than the big cat: Silvercat Digmaul
7th level
My last question is on secondary attacks and standard actions. If the digmaul where to charge and make a single attack, could it use its tail attack as a primary since it is the only attack it makes that round? Or does having a primary attack available prevent that? ![]()

![]() Hey everyone, I got an idea for a dread knight themed dhamphir with a horse companion but making it a bit more themematic. I was planing on adding the vampiric companion feat but I am misunderstanding the undead part of it relating to it's con score. Is it switched to the lower charisma and just a penalty or is it treated similar to the deathtouched animal archetype in that it only counts as undead for other effects? Does the feat stack with this archetype? If I made a divine hunter could I add the fiendish template to one or both options? Thanks for any help you come up with! ![]()

![]() Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to make a Paladin type character who adheres to the druids way of thinking without multiclassing (unless it's a fitting prestige class). The basic idea of the character is a coldborn skinwalker who uses an earthbreaker.

![]() This is just a fun idea I have for an upcoming gestalt game, but I want to semi optimize this build while keeping with the theme of a spider worshiping drow slaver. Basically I want to combine a class that uses either summon nature's ally or summon monster with the spider summoner feat with a martial whip build. So far I'm leaning towards fighter into pain taster with the required whip feats and I'm allowed to take the taskmaster feat for hobgoblin which I will use on my summons. Any recommendations for the caster class or archetypes I may have missed? Any feats I should keep in mind? All advice is appreciated! ![]()

![]() Well, when I say tree hugging, I mean psychotic plant fey. The idea is to make a small potent caster with some versatility.

![]() Hey everyone, so rather than try reviving our first campaign we are starting over with a slightly different group in the the same setting. That being said I'm not quite over my first real character and would like to create his near identical twin.

![]() Pretty simple, just looking for ideas to build a character focused on buffing and blowing stuff up from the back. The party has a strength/charisma front liner and a dex/intellect rogueish type, so I am just trying to diversify and go Wisdom caster because I can. I would like shaman or druid to be one of the classes but I need your help finding a combination that is fun to play and works well We are able to use just about all 3rd party on the Paizo site and Thunderscape: World of Aden. Thank you for any suggestions. |
