![]() I recently moved and we decided that we should ship everything that we wanted to keep and sell off our furniture because the cost to move the furniture exceeded what we felt it was worth. We shipped close to 20 boxes. 1 box had my entire Pathfinder collection (including the Tome of Horrors book). For some reason we insured every other box but somehow missed that one - and it was lost. I got a notification that they found the label but couldn't find the box. I taped that sucker on with what seemed like a full roll of tape. I am pretty bummed out about it. ![]()
![]() This kickstarter has become incredibly awesome. The stretch goal rewards now include extra basic pieces to help make a huge dungeon, curved walls, diagonal walls, narrow doors, demon doors, pillars, and coming soon walls with windows and dungeon dressing such as barrels and treasure piles! Jump on the bandwagon while you still can! ![]()

![]() Normally a rogue wouldn't be able to stealth during movement after attacking an enemy because she would be observed. However, if she took a level in Shadowdancer she would get Hide in plain site which states: SRD wrote: A shadowdancer can use the Stealth skill even while being observed. As long as she is within 10 feet of an area of dim light, a shadowdancer can hide herself from view in the open without anything to actually hide behind. She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow. Now, the rules for stealth state: SRD wrote: Action: Usually none. Normally, you make a Stealth check as part of movement, so it doesn't take a separate action. However, using Stealth immediately after a ranged attack (see Sniping, above) is a move action. and the rules for a 5-foot step state: SRD wrote: You can move 5 feet in any round when you don't perform any other kind of movement. I interpret this to mean that a 5-foot step is a type of movement but not a move action. A stealth check is not an action but is usually done during movement. With hide in plain site a rogue can stealth while being observed. So can a rogue with hide in plain site attack, take a 5-foot step and stealth check and re-hide? If not, can a rogue make a standard attack, use a move action to move away and make a stealth check, and re-hide if they have hide in plain site? -------------------------- This came up in my previous thread here but due to the muddled title it didn't get a lot of traffic. Edit: Fixed a hyperlink. ![]()
![]() Hi all. I have completed painting my modular fortress system. I am going to close the back and sides off with a modular mountains system and I have made some heraldic banners for the black arrows that I am going to print and include outside the main entrance. Let me know what you think! Of course since a certain group of ogres have taken over it won't look quite so clean when my group gets there. ![]()

![]() Hi All, My group wrapped up the Skinsaw Murders tonight at level 6 going on 7. According to the module they should be level 7 going on 8. We have been using the medium XP gain rate but if I use the fast one they are 7 going on 8. So is supposed to be fast or medium? We have 4 players. Also, Xanesha didn't seem so bad and they faced her at level 6. We had 1 near death but they brought her down after a long time. Because our druid has a serpent familiar it was like a beat down festival after her invisibility broke with 5 attackers. On every turn she had to heal or cast mirror images to keep up. ![]()
![]() I have been playing mmorpgs for a long time. I have been playing WoW since the first expansion and I have tried Guild Wars 1&2, D&D online, Rift, SWTOR, LotR Online, and a few others that I can't think of right now. The one thing that I have noticed about the games that fall flat a few months after release is that they do not have extensive end game content like WoW. For example, in SWTOR most people I knew loved the leveling process but once they had their character finished and completed what little content there was for max level they just stopped playing and went back to WoW. The same was true for Rift. I hope that Pathfinder Online releases some heavy end game content when they release the game and then follows it with an expansion not long after. ![]()
![]() Awhile ago I saw this video from bensrpgpile (good stuff if you haven't watched it or read his blog you should). So I went on ebay and picked up over 100 mage knight miniatures for around $40 (shipping was free). A friend of mine who used to play Mage Knight also gave me about 50 or so figures from the mage knight line. Some of them truly look bad and I didn't bother with those. However, some of them are pretty sweet. So following in the footsteps of Ben I rebased a bunch. I bought some cheap bases ken_of_york and started basing. Here are a few. ![]()
![]() I picked one of these for less than a dollar. It fits the size requirement for a large creature and looks pretty similar to The Scarecrow from the module. It is the world of warcraft Harvest Golem miniature. It would be easy to glue a scythe to his hand (or on his back). ![]()
![]() So my group is on the last stretch of Burnt Offerings. I wanted to make sure that each player has one good piece of loot before we finish. The group is: Monk (He almost acts as a tank)
What magic items would you recommend for these players to find as they approach level 4? Thanks in advance! ![]()
![]() I am running a game in a few weeks that will partly take place on a ship. During the voyage the player's ship will be attacked by a large vessel and various small vessels. The small vessels will be transporting hostiles to their ship while the large vessel will be firing cannon balls. Are there rules for ships exchanging cannon fire? What about ship movement? If not, what rules would you invent to handle it? ![]()
![]() Hi all, I originally made these for use in my own games but I thought others might like to use them so I made a master mold. So far I have made a blue pool: and a SLIME pool: Coming soon is a blood red pool. Later I may make deluxe versions with creepy crawly things inside (Water - maybe some tentacle thing, Slime - zombies or ochre jellies, Blood red - body parts floating around). If you buy more than one I will combine the shipping. Cheers, Asphere ![]()

![]() About the only thing I really enjoyed about 4E was nat 20 for critical hits. Has anyone done this? Right now my group is doing this: A natural 20 is a critical hit. If you roll a natural 20 you do not have to verify that it was a critical hit. If a weapon has a critical hit range (i.e. scimitar 18-20), the player must re-roll to confirm a critical hit for a roll of 18 or 19. This coupled with the critical hit deck is a lot of fun (and a lot of shock if its from a baddie). So far we haven't had any problems with it. Do you foresee any? ![]()
![]() To craft something like Bone Beads, what are the mats that cost 3,000gp? One of my player's wants to make it but right now they aren't really in a material rich area. ![]()
![]() Is there a list like [3.x]Shax's Indispensible Haversack (Equipment Handbook) for Pathfinder items? ![]()
![]() I usually DM for people who have played roleplaying games for years. Currently, however, I have a group of players who are completely new to tabletop rpgs. We are approaching level 3 and they all have a pretty good grasp on the basics and how to play their characters but they are terrible at RPing. They discuss things out of character, RPing encounters are awkward and mostly silent. How can I encourage them to stay in character, discuss tactics in character, and to role play? ![]()

I am looking forward to finally being able to buy packs of cannon fodder. Edit: Just saw the date of the post at the link as August 2011. Is this still happening? ![]()
![]() Is a Summoner's Eidolon allowed to select feats from the Monster Feats list? If so, at level 5 couldn't an Eidolon that comes with a bite attack spend evolution points on "Improved Damage" and "Large", and then select the Monster Feat "Improved Natural Damage" to net a total of 3d6 + 1.5*(Strength Mod) per successful single bite attack? That seems way too high for level 5. ![]()
![]() I am attending my first Pathfinder Society game at the Memphis Gamecon. I was able to reserve a seat at 3 sessions. The first session is for level 1-5 play, and the other two are 5-9 play. I was planning on just making a level 5 character using the Pathfinder Society Guide but I couldn't find out whether or not I was able to register a level 5 character or if I have to start with a level 1 character. Anyone know? Thanks in advance. Cheers! ![]()
![]() I am the GM for a group that is running Rise of the Runelords. After the Skinsaw Murders one of the players is going to GM The Hook Mountain Massacre (it will be her first GM experience). Anyway, her player will retire and I will bring in a 7th level character. I am trying to decide what to make. This is the group: Fighter (defender)
What would you add? ![]()
![]() Greetings, I have recently made the switch from D&D 4th to Pathfinder and would like to find a group to regularly play with. Normally, I play face to face but I am currently living in a small town and my hunt for fellow RPGers has proven futile. I am capable of using Skype and I have installed and tooled around with OpenRPG. I am willing to install/learn any other software used by the group. I am also willing to play any class that the group needs. Please message me or respond to this thread if you are interested. Cheers, Asphere |
