Just a helpful hint from me, don't buy any of the new books from this adventure path unless there are 5 books released already. Only if 5 are done you can be halfway sure this gets finished at all. Since FMG needs about 6 months for a book to release until now ,and there is no sign that this will change in the near future, this wont happen before 10-2015. If you buy it and start playing it you will be through with it long before the next book comes out, if it comes out at all. The author is unreliable at best and didn't respond to questions on kickstarter for nearly 5 months, the only reason he releases the second book is probably because 1 year from the kickstarter start has passed and he was overdue for 5 of 6 books and people start talking about suing him for refunding. And of course, don't ever back Fire Mountain Games or Gary McBride up on kickstarter or anywhere else ever again!
2013 is ending soon and what can Fire Mountain Games show? One pdf of a book that was playtested back 2012 already. The first thing Gary did once the cash from Kickstarter went in was a long safari. After that a long row of excuses, lies and no comments the last months. Fact is he worked faster and was more communicative last year during working at WotW. Lets face it Gary cant handle cash in advance situations, he is just slacking or doing other projects. He will never deliver all 6 parts until May next year hell if we are lucky he will have the second part finished as pdf until then. This will only change if he runs out of money, maybe second half of the next year. Then he will suddenly start communicating again here with lame excuses about his behaviour and maybe do a new kickstarter to get more money again. I strongly suggest that if you want more of his work to not back up his kickstarter projects anymore! Let him earn the cash he needs like any normal guy does it. If he gets money from kickstarter again he will just continue the way he does now. Force him to deliver first and earn money later by only buying his books once they are out but dont pay in advance!
If you want an adventure path which goes up all the way to Level 20 check out this: http://firemountaingames.com/products.html Written for and 100% compatible to Pathfinder. And for the physics most Paizo AP .pdf files have 96-100 pages, the Fire Mountain AP ones have 100-111, so I would say its doable to cover 20 levels without major changes to the product line. If you do the numbers the FM ones have about 8 pages more at average than the ones from Paizo which means 4 more sheets of paper for a printed product. If Paizo would just drop the story chapter from their APs this would free up 6 pages at average already so only 1 sheet of paper would have to be added. Definitely doable in my opinion without even a decline in quality.
Hello James, question about the Titan Mauler Barbarian Archetype(Ultimate Combat). The level 3 power Massive Weapons says "At 3rd level, a titan mauler becomes skilled in the use of massive weapons looted from her titanic foes. The attack roll penalty for using weapons too large for her size is reduced by 1, and this reduction increases by 1 for every three levels beyond 3rd (to a minimum of 0).
As it is now a medium character with 3 levels Titan Mauler could only use onehanded or smaller large weapons and only light huge weapons cause of the size difference rules. Is that interpretation correct? Thanks for answering.
Hi James, rule questions here. If something in the pathfinder universe is charging another something and the charge is successful and the charging subject has several attacks at the end of the charge, maybe cause of the Pounce feat or something similar, does the +2 attack roll modification count for a)The first attack of the charge only or b)All attacks made at the end of the charge movement Furthermore the +2 attack roll bonus from the charge is gone after the charge ends or stays, maybe for attacks of opportunity, until the beginning of the chargers next turn? Thanks for answering in advance.

MWF is for fighting with a weapon in each hand, using two handed weapons would be pretty much useless without any advantage except the weapon damage itself with that -6 to attack. However I see this leads nowhere.

Did you even read my post? Seems not and I got the rules that you copy & pasted here myself thanks. Not helpful at all.
Hi, what about an Eidolon having 4 arms and using 2 two handed weapons each one with 2 arms? Multiweapon Fighting from the Bestiary is only for 1 weapon in each hand. There is no explanation for multiple two handed weapons, rules collide about strength bonus for example, offhand attacks half bonus two hand attacks one and a half times the strength bonus. That would mean a 2 hand weapon has the same bonus as a 1 handed weapon if you follow the offhand rule. Any official clarifications about this? |
